- Welcome to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Roulette! In this series @MBTYuGiOh and I each spin a wheel featuring every Secret Pack in Master Duel. We then build decks using 20 of only those Secret Packs before playing a Match to determine that episode’s winner. The winner of each episode gets to decide if they want the first or second Secret Pack from the wheel during the next episode, but they must choose before seeing what the second spin lands on! Okay, so Naturia is so miserable, that you can not play around a single one if their cards, and they STILL are too weak to punish even APPLIANCERS.
This was indeed the game of all time
This is actually just a really elaborate allegory at the powerlessness of nature in the face of technology.

I can only imagine MBT's luck if he manages to go into the AG archetype. The boss monsters and key components like Geartown are all Ultras, and the pseudo bosses and consistency pieces like Wyvern and Catapult and Reactor Dragon are all Supers while the only good rare cards is AG Golem and Fortress IF memory serves correctly

This week has been a really charitable week. First Cimo takes a dogwater infernoid build on history so MBT can finally do laundry and now MBT touches outdated grass so Dezeeff can do his laundry

MBT went Super Saiyan for game 2 (MBT without glasses), and yet even with Doug trying to throw as hard as possible, it wasn't enough
Reminds me of when Cimo played Blackwings during end of arc v era on prog just to give gage a chance but also to potentially send him to the irl shadowrealm by beating him with something so bad that it cant even function.

In this episode:
Despite Doug's best efforts to not pull from a good pack, to not read his cards, to not understand how half of his deck works, and to completely ignore the main gimmick of an entire archetype, he still wins because even a shitty Batteryman deck is good enough against Naturia. Especially if the Naturia deck also pulled poorly.
Props to MBT for playing out of his goddamn mind this episode. Sadly, he was on Naturia, so nothing could save him in the end.
Joseph threw this one so Doug can win. But Doug did his absolute best to counter throw. Unfortunately Naturia cannot be out thrown

Just summoning plain old cyber dragon probably could have beaten most sealed decks, especially naturia. Doug has been having trouble pulling or drawing good cards though, so I understand why he hesitated.

You see, Doug thought the answer was reading his cards. Despite not knowing what any of the Appliancers do, the streak is over, his journey at an end. What we've learned today is that Doug didn't need to read his cards - he just needed to believe in them.

You could add a rule that each player gets to craft 1 card from the set that they got, or maybe just the previous loser to help them, alot of times you get good pulls but need that 1 card or its hard to play so it would nice to see certain decks shine
Yes but you should only be able to craft using mats from the cards you pulled that week.

I feel like Polymerization should be a card they're allowed to play even if it's not in a pack. That would at least have given Naturia the chance to maybe consider making one of their Fusions eventually. I know it wasn't likely to happen, but I think it would be cool.
Honestly I thought that was already a rule, but I do agree that it should be. There's a decent amount of archetypes that would be borderline unplayable without Poly unless you pull their fusion spell (Fluffals and Lunalights come to mind.)

Naturia vs. Appliancer. Certainly one of the Matchups of all time.
Those throws at the end from Doug were more than understandable. All I know about Appliancers comes from seeing them in the anime...and they ARE really weird and unnecessarily complicated. This is one of those archetypes where their main win con is hoping that the opponent has no idea what those things do.
Funny thing is, the Cyber Dragon pack would have been fine as well. Naturia probably already would struggle against OG Cyber Dragon beatdown. But props to Doug for making this episode more exciting.
