I hate that this died out, the community flourishes with events like this because it brings people together, thats a big part of why we decorate and when we cant do it anymore, hopefully someone else will take the torch. Thanks for sharing this gem

Yes, it's so sad! 😭 But like you said, we never know, it might come back one day. Hopefully! Thanks for watching!

That was awesome, thank you for the tour! I miss the 90's, probably my favorite years. 🎃

I love the stuffed people/monster decorations. Very creative. Halloween in the 1990s was so fun and I truly miss the spirit. 🎃 My grandmother had a big scary looking 2 story house that was at the end of the dead end street and we would decorate it every year for Halloween. Kids were terrified to knock on the door because the house itself had a scary vibe, and the decor made it even creepier! My cousins and I would go trick or treating throughout the neighborhood and come back home with piles of candy and trade. It’s so sad to see that neighborhood become so boring and lifeless now. Oh well. I’m carrying on the tradition in our new neighborhood with my son! Luckily this neighborhood had a lot of holiday spirit and keeps the holidays alive!! Happy Halloween 🎃

Yeah, me too! Stuffed characters were the best. We don't see that anymore.
Thanks for sharing that beautiful memory! I can't totally picture this creepy looking house in my head. Haha! I have lots of beautiful memories with my grandmother and her house, too. She was really putting an effort, you know! Happy Halloween! Thanks for watching and have fun with your son!!!

That is one precious video or I should say videos. You were so adorable and into it and so inquisitive you had Halloween in you way back then. It's a shame the festival ended. It would have been neat to see it and how it improved year after year. One thing I really love seeing. Was Jack skellington? Because it made me think about your video and Jack skeleton and maybe wonder if that was an inspiration way back then. Very cool that you have these type of videos to reflect on. You should get it transferred to DVD so it doesn't rot out on tape. Thanks so much for sharing. It's beautiful and heartwarming.

Oh, thanks! That's so nice of you. 🖤
Halloween has always made me so happy.
Yes, it was Jack! When I made my video, I didn't think about it. But maybe, unconsciously, it was somewhere in the back on my head. Haha! I can see the similarity. I love it.
      Thanks, I will.

Wow! I was born in 1996, in Brazil. We usually don't celebrate Halloween there, which is sad :( (only a few people do). But I am pretty much amazed by the effort and creativity from the people of this town. When you are child, experiencing this type of things gives you amazing memories for the future. So sad that they don't do this anymore 😢

      Thanks for watching Mughy!
It's really sad they don't celebrate it in Brazil, and it's pretty incredible you like Halloween as you do!
You're right, people were very creative. One year, somebody simulated an airplane crash in front of their house. It was something! I don't have it on tape, sadly... But you can see people put the effort.

What great footage!👏👏👏😄Did people start putting their decorations out in early October or mostly just in time for Halloween?

Thank you! It was a very touristic place. I think they were starting one month earlier.
We used to go there like two weeks before Halloween. People were very involved!
