that "we don't go to school" line makes me insanely pleased, like growing up every single adult would always go "do you behave for your parents like this, do you behave for your teachers like this, do you behave for the unit counselor like this" etc etc and to know, just to know, that there was a group of kids that had the perfect comeback for that, i feel vindicated. it makes me so happy i wish i could shake that kid's hand

I HAD to watch this as Dukakis came to Wausau, WI and I was there as a kid. I remember standing there on an asphalt parking lot, freezing my feet to the ground and wondering why the 🤬 are we here? That's the first Presidential thing I remember in this area. I think I was around 8 or 9.

When I was a kid I knew flowers were a thing at night, but that became really true when we had a dragonfruit plant and, in case you don’t know, that plant, as other Cactaceae do, bloom at night. The couple of nights it bloomed were so exciting.

There's a photo of me at 2 years old next to a ton of jack-o-lanterns spelling out "Vote Dukakis". It's pretty great NOW (it was probably a pretty big let down in November of 1988).

What I love about Seth Meyers is unlike Jimmy Fallon, he doesn't fake laugh! He is just so genuinely entertained by his guests! It's infectious 😂😂😂

My house was right next to my elementary school. My backyard opened into the parking lot, and my schools "after school program" that watched us until one of my parents could come get us was full of bullies who mercilessly abused me the entire time I was there ... to the level were if it happened now not only would those kids have gone to juvie, but my parents could have sued the school for letting it happen. Becoming a latchkey kid was one of the best things that ever happened to me.

Interestingly, at night, our eyes start to use rods (which perceive shade) instead of cones (which perceive color) in order to adjust to the dark, so there is a reason one might find it hard to imagine a flower at night.

Funny thing is that flowers sort of don't exist at night. A lot of flowers close their petals at night and open back up in the morning.

+TheGuitar777 ~ Nah, Fallon is a nauseating fawner, Meyers is sincere in his enjoyment. Notice he only behaves like this with guests he knows and loves. And it's not to be ingratiating, it's because he's truly enjoying whatever they're saying.
