Audiofrog is a company I've never had the money to burn on, but they sure do make a nice product. I'm sure this is a great sounding amp given the award winning car it was promoted in....
I’m impressed with the power output given the small footprint of the amp. Being AF, it’ll sound fantastic. I can’t wait to find out the availability and price details.
@@adamstensryd941 There are likely minor differences, the crossovers for one, but you can tell that they are the exact same board down to the connectors and amp case. The topside connections are the exact same. The backside connections are the same. While there are minor spec differences, they are also the same power rating. Andy is and always has charged a premium for Audiofrog and while they make a good product, Audiofrog thrives on marketing.
While it appears to be the exact same design, they are not quite the same. The AF is even more compact which is probably why it only has 12db xover vs 24. without having someone compare them , it's possible that AF has used higher quality components to justify the higher premium. Hard to say, but I'm with you, I'd go with the Mani if I was looking for an amp like this.
@@INFRNL1 AF does indeed have a smaller heatsink and differing specs, but the board and internals are similar. Like the Crescendo S4 and D4S JP84. I'm just saying, Audiofrog isn't doing a unique bespoke design.
@@SeanOMatic Oh yeah, I definitely agree with you there. I'm not sure how many brands there actually are that are true innovators, especially when it comes to amps. I'm currently running the D4S JP23/234 combo. I'm going to swap them out for B2 Rage to see if I can notice any improvements. This is where I like the 90's; where everyone and there mothers wasn't just putting their names on an amp to get into the market. this seems to be a trend on subs as well
Dig the size and the output is comparable to my AudioControl amps. Dampening factor looks good as well as the other specs. At $699.99 for the AudioFrog vs $599.99 for an AudioControl LC-4.800 with darn near the same specs just slightly larger and AccuBass, it would have to sound $100 better IMO. I doubt that it does, but the size might be worth the $100 alone for some.
Audio Control Products are manufactured in US but Audiofrog isn’t. I feel Audiofrog amp can be significantly cheaper than Audio control, but I reserve my comments till someone compares both amps and do a breakdown with components used.
The audio frog does have that emi protection that's about the only feature I see that is unique to them I wanna see how good the switching frequency is filtered out of the output considering its a class d amplifier saying it's high fidelity it should be almost undectectable
These seem like good little class D amps spec wise, but I think for people with the GB series speakers they will be looking for a much more premium amp and more than likely a class AB. Not to say these wouldn’t sound good with them as I’m sure they would but I was hoping for something a little more unique out of Andy and his team with regards to amps. Pretty hard to beat the Helix amps/DSP’s if your leaning towards a small footprint but those get you into double the price if not more.
I agree with ya, but these will get the job done for GBs provided you follow how they did their demo vehicle- running mids with bridged channels and simply running more amplifiers. Personally, I run a 6 channel mosconi with bridged channels for an active front stage on GB60s and GB10s and a dedicated 2 channel for rear fill GS coaxes.
Will be perfect 6 channel’s DSP built , i take closing my eyes but no 👎, im waiting for the new helix Psix but if is too expensive i take the regular “old” psix
What amp did he have in there before the swap ? How did it compare to the Audiofeog amp ? Can you do same With an audio control Lc-4.800 And an alpine xa-70f and compare the sound quality ? Maybe then try a 4 ch mosconi gladen one class a/b. ?
Sony makes the Rsx-gs9. Other than that, everything else on the market is pretty standard fare. Just look for high voltage rcas on a decent JVC/kenwood.
They never talk about price because then they will get a bunch of people saying "I found it on Amazon for $32 less than you said. You guys are a rip off. This is why I won't go to my local stereo shop anymore" etc. It's a no win game for them
aside from the very informative amp set up part … this video was not very informative🤣 “sounds good”doesnt really say a lot. If I have to judge the amp’s performance from Fernando’s face I would say it was average. No price info, no comparison, no info about heat performance. Glad to see Audiofrog its expanding their product line. Thanks for the video guys
Just my opinion but you're little worker their Fernando is a weird one you didn't bother mentioning if it bumps if he likes it because it makes the highs sound good and it sounds like he likes the tweeters then that amp wouldn't work for me because as soon as I would pull out of the parking lot I'd be turning the treble crap on my head unit down putting the fade so it's more on the sub and my front speakers you'd barely be able to hear them. I like my amp for the bass not the treble Bass is my thing not treble but this was a good video and I watch a lot of them, so I wasn't trying to offend you I was just stating my opinion.
This is a 4 channel amp. They aren't really meant for Bass. If Bass is your thing, you should get a Taramps Smart 3k Bass and a pair of 12's that handle 3k RMS with and add up .5ohm load. Your Bass will flex your windshield. If your cars electrical can handle it. But a small 4 channel amp like this is more designed for driving a set of component speakers as loud and clean as possible.
@@Jamez84 how are they not meant for bass? Not everyone wants to flex their windshield like a 17 year old. Some people just want a good sounding balanced system but apparently that idea is over your head. 200x2 is enough to drive alot of subs on the market. Or run it in 3 channel mode.
I have an all audiofrog system in my truck… probably one of the best systems I’ve ever had

wonder how these stack vs mosconi? Looking for a tiny form factor
Very nice Amp, would love to see a review on the sub Amp and a dyno
He guys we would love to see a video on BLAM signature series and MERCURY audio !!
Wow!
Excellent product and terrific review( as usual!).
Thanks for the video guys.
Great info Dean and Fernando!
You can use the cable sure or RCA style knob (one knob) for both amps.
Dean, could you pls make a video comparing Audiofrog 600.1 vs kicker KXA 800.1 vs AudioControl LC 800.1 for SQ oriented setup
Thanks for the demo, sounded good on the headphones 👍.
B2 Mani 600.4 is the same exact amp but has 24db crossovers. Andy is gassing us with this stuff.
True, Wonder what makes the audiofrog twice as expensive, would be nice to se the inside of both, Guess they the same, this is 100% a ripoff.

That is a nice amp. Fernando what speakers 🔊can of do you have in car? They sound excellent even on TH-cam. Have you demoed Audio Frog speakers?

Fernando what kind of speakers do you have in your car? Thx
I think you were happier with the sound of the Ground Zero amp..
What components are installed?
What speakers does Fernando have in his car
what is the rest of the components ?
Is the lab running 2 way or 3 way components?
What type of wire do you use for your speaker wire? Id love to have color coded wires going into my amp
what brand are the lab component speakers ? they sound sweet..
I think it has Ground Zero components in it, still.
