It is so interesting to watch someone else identify which items they like and or dislike. We all have such difference tastes.😄
Yes! I love so many papers and embellishments, but know that I won't use them, so I try to keep that in mind too.
Gosh I loved this detailed video. Would love to see you sort more collections
Thank you! I did most of them off-camera, but it took me a whole week!
I watched all the purge videos and thoroughly enjoyed them. Im in the middle of re-doing my studio and your methods have been so helpful!
I loved this video. I second the request for more collection purges. I need to sort my ephemera. I am guilty of keeping a lot because I don't know who would want it, and I have learned rom Janet that I can tuck things if they have a work or an image that's irrelevant.
When I do what you did with the puffy stickers, I keep them on the sheet, cut around the ones I want, and put them in my little 4x6 containers so I can keep ALL the ones I want.
So glad it was helpful! I did most of the collections off camera. It was a big job!
I used to do the same with stickers, but found that I just wasn't reaching for them in those containers.
U can donate to schools or nursing homes or rehabilitation hospitals or homes, call first
Oh my! For someone on a fixed income and scrapbook budget, I watch you purge and think oh I would love that paper etc! Lol good for you knowing what you want and need! I think scrapbooking supplies have just gone up so much in recent years! I have learned to be very selective about how I spend
I am right there with you! I have scrapbook collections that I got for $5.99 and now those same type of collections are $16.99 or $17.99. I am so thankful that I stocked up on supplies when I was working (before covid) looking towards the day when I would be on a very tight budget. I bought alphas, enamel dots, adhesives and page protectors . I have plenty of collections and will never run out of paper to use! I save up from gifts I receive to buy the few things I may need.
Completely understandable! I have an overflow of supplies from my design team work and discount boxes, so I didn't choose a lot of it. This process is mostly refining my stash to just the things I LOVE. Selective buying is a brilliant habit to get into!
One thing I do to help with space (and for remembering what I have) is use one package for doubles. For example, those Amy Tan heart stickers would be stored back to back in one package instead of two separate packages.
Yes! I do this quite often as well. I think I combined several of those off-camera.
@@lauraalbertscrafts I figured you probably did, but wanted to suggest just in case
I just recently gave myself permission to get rid of papers in collections that I don’t like. Thanks for sharing!
Yes! As much as I adore these collections, it seems silly to me to keep pieces that I don't love just because I have other pieces.
I am not able to really scrapbook right now so I have been binge watching some of your videos. I like watching your purging videos and especially this one with your collections. It has motivated me to down size even more than I have already done in the last three years. Thank you!!!
So glad it was helpful! The purging process has been so cathartic!
Everything in me says, “Don’t do this!!” I could never do this, but I admire your bravery. I buy by collections and could never get rid of my pretties. And the answer to how much should we keep is “All of it.” Lol!! Great video!
Completely understandable! I didn’t intentionally buy most of my stash, I received it as part of design teams or in warehouse boxes, so I’m essentially refining my stash to just the things I love.
Love the detail in your decision thought process . I hope you do a tour of your new space soon
Thank you! It was helpful to set a little structure for myself. New space tour will be soon!
I have purged a lot this last year . One important thing I’ve learned ,out of sight out of mine 😂.
Yes! So true! Having open storage and an organized space makes such a huge difference.
Great video, Laura. Great series. What’s next? I’m here for anything you do.
Thank you! I'll have a craft room tour soon!
Love watching you purge!
It has been quite a project! So glad to have it finished.
My day is always made when I see that you have posted a new video! I need to go through my collections and you have inspired me with your tips. Thanks!
So glad it was helpful! This entire process has been so cathartic and my new space is so much more useful!
Thank you! You have inspired me to dive in and get this done. My craft room is out of control!
That's awesome! It's a big project, but I found the process so cathartic too.
Hi Laura, I always enjoy your craft room purge videos...inspires me to get some decluttering done myself. 😊
So glad it was helpful! I am really enjoying the ease of finding everything!
Great video. I really need to do this with all the Rosie’s Studio collections I have!
Yes! I love Rosie's ephemera packs, but their collections are pretty big if you buy the paper packs too.
Nice purge. I purged ribbon and chipboard this spring. Felt darn good to free up space.
Yes! It's such a cathartic process.
This was fun! Could watch all the collections 😂
It was a huge process! I needed a whole week to finish it!
@@lauraalbertscrafts wow you are good 😊
This was very helpful!
So glad it was helpful, Lynn! This was such a cathartic process.
This was torture 😂😂 but I could’ve watched you do every single collection 😍
I know! This is why I saved it to the end, I knew it would a "process." Lol!
Loved it! Debbie
It was a big piece of the project!
