Wow. The Natasha Denona looked the best of them all which I would not have expected and then I saw the Fenty. The last two foundations looked spot on, on you. I would love if your mom tried them all and you could give us a report on that.

Just in case anyone is interested! Robert Welsh just did a tutorial on how to apply the TirTir cushion foundation - it was really good - especially as he gave great tips on how to use the sponge it comes with and how to apply it ... just thought I would put it out there!! Personally I think I'll pass on this one for the time being as I never wear full coverage foundation but I could see how peeps my want more coverage for an event or something. xxx

I came to stay the same thing! I bought the Tir Tir after a few friends recommended it. After watching a few how to videos I absolutely love this! I do not use any full coverage foundations so I was really concerned but I got a solid light coverage the first time I used it thanks to the videos. The second day I did the same but tapped a touch more on a few problem areas and it looked incredible! I received so many compliments on my skin from friends, family and co-workers on those days it really made me feel so great! I have dry skin with texture and dry spots and it performed beautifully all day. The foundation did not transfer at all…not even on the mask I had to wear in the hospital to visit a friend. I was amazed.

I had never used a cushion foundation before I purchased the TIRTIR Mask Fit Red Cushion Foundation (in 15C). I love it 🥰 It doesn't oxidize on me, which is nice since so many foundations do. I always use a primer (which may help with that). I wore it to our son's graduation last week. Surprisingly, it lasted ALL DAY. We had to stand outside in the heat and humidity for quite some time, waiting for the venue doors to to open and you would never have known it by the way this foundation STAYED PUT. Now, as a "lady of a certain age", I find a matte finish just looks better on my skin. So, I purchased the _matte_ version in the pink compact (in 17C Porcelain). It's LOVELY! One MASSIVE drawback though is it only comes in THREE shades, essentially: very fair, light, and less light 😂

I prefer a medium to light coverage so the trick I've found with the Tir Tir is if I can feel it going on, I'm using too much. I also go in with a foundation brush immediately after application to blend out and diffuse. As someone old and dry, it's definitely not my favourite, but it is workable with a light hand.

@@melt2947 I make sure that my skin is prepped and that my moisturizer has had time to sink in. On that day I used Saint Jane pore smoothing spf 30 cream as my sunscreen and primer. I then sprayed ELF power grip Dewy setting spray - wait to dry. Applied the foundation and sprayed ELF Power grip dewy setting spray. Let it dry. Apply the rest of my face and powder as needed. then sprayed the Stay All Night micro-fine setting mist by ELF. I finished off with what I started with (because I like the glow) the D’alba first spry serum. I’ve heard several creators (that are MUAs) say the key to keeping your makeup on is to use the setting spray in layers, not just at the end. Hope this helps.

Now I've seen your review, I've ordered the Tirtir to try. I HAAAATED the Tom Ford foundation. I found I could only get a half sensible application if i used a damp sponge. Even then, it still looked very dry/crusty around the nose and showed up pores something wicked (I do not have big pores). This still happened regardless of what I did or did not wear under it. It is very very twitchy. I would strongly advise anyone looking at the Tom Ford to buy the Louboutin instead. Half the price and far far better in every way.

I can see why the Fenty was your favourite, it looks stunning! ND also ok, but the TirTir didn’t look dewy at the end of the day so much as dripping in ghee! I didn’t see much of the TF - on account of fainting at the price 😂. Curious to see what the bare pro is all about, so off to see if you’ve got a video on it.

Wayne Goss raves about Nude by Nature mineral powder foundation. It's an Australian brand, cruelty free, natural etc. their range includes primer, lipstick, BB cream, makeup brushes ( great quality and reasonably priced especially when 40% off sale).

I like both foundations. The ND is lighter and less coverage and the BM is slightly heavier with more coverage but still looks like skin. Both wear for a similar amount of time. xxx

I’ve been waiting for the Revlon serum foundation review. I’ve tried the Revlon Illumination because it’s a dupe for the Chanel No. 1 but it isn’t close enough for me. I just can’t in my heart spend $70 for the Chanel even though it’s amazing on my dry mature skin. I just want something lighter that looks like skin. I’m going to now check it out!

Gemma, what did you prep your skin with before using the ND powder foundation? I have found it a bit finicky - it rolled terribly over 2 of my fav SPFs - mind you I did use the sponge it came with so it could be application issues. I have used it as a finishing powder and it works brilliantly to blur and 'meld' foundation - I am gonna try the brush again to apply it as a foundation. thanks a mill for this review, i was so pee-ed off initially because, for me, this was an expensive purchase, but I am definitely not giving up just yet, and I really appreciate this review.
