Happy New Year, Gemma! My only suggestion about your background colour (based on my own struggles as a photographer) is to consider how it might affect the look of your videos. Make sure whatever colour you choose won’t cast a weird light over everything, or clash with all your favourite makeup shades. :)
Re: the background colour I LOVED the Green colour that it used to be. It was so fresh and made you look more vibrant! I’m no interior designer but I believe that the right shade of green (which I think your shade of green is) can work with all of the seasons just by adding the right accessories. And changing out accessories can make a surprisingly big difference.
Since you asked i prefer a neutral gray or lighter colour to keep the focus on your face and the makeup. Glad to see you back, cheers to a slow January!
I love Lisa, but the pencils are big no from me. So little product for the price, I just use a tiny brush with the same result. Definitely heading to Dior for the bronzers!!
I like the current background. Save time and money. Just mix up the accessories to change it seasonally. You'll be amazed what a difference the finishing touches make to the room 😊
I think black would be too harsh. My daughter, who is a colour consultant for an international paint company, recommends taupe or beige with a pink/peachy undertone for your wall. A colour that is too dark or moody will be distracting.
I am so glad you mentioned how the Hourglass feels on your skin, other reviews haven't and I almost bought this .. but I would have HATED the sensation of a heavy moisturiser on my face so thank you!! I just about tolerate my night cream before bed, I really get the major ICK from feeling like I have a mask on, so this 100% not suit me at all. The finish does look lovely on you though xx
Very glad to hear your comments on the hourglass foundation. I ordered a few days ago. Once I have used it, I will let you know how it does on my over age 70 skin. Your finished look today was beautiful.
The Pantone Color of the Year for 2025 is PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, a warm, rich brown color. The color is described as evocative, soft, and comforting.
@@PamperedWolf I use the pinpoint concealing technique with the Haulabs concealer and am very happy with it. But I love Lisa so much. I want her creation too.
My recommendation would be to paint the wall white or cream and invest in some Hue lights to change the colour of the walls whenever you like. It’ll save you having to repaint all the time. They won’t change the colour of the walls to something solid or dark, just the “hue”. I even have them on the shelves around my TV so I can match the colour tone of the walls to what I’m watching. They are currently set to brown, to match your video. Easy to change the colour on the phone app.
Happy New Year! Hope you enjoyed the Holidays! Since you asked😂😂😂 I vote for green or light blue background! Brightens and freshens things up! 😂😂😂The best products- blush pulls it all together ! Gorgeous!
Hi Gemma, love you and your Mums product reviews! I was wondering whether your mum would be doing a Seint makeup review? Now they are in the UK. I would love to see you guys review this cream makeup. X
Wayne Goss reviewed Lisa Eldridge's concealer and said it was a really lovely product but he had to give it the thumbs down because of the ridiculously low amount of product. 0.4g or 0.014oz. No matter how sparing you are, it's not going to last long at £27 a pop.
Beauty with Substance posted a chart showing that the Lisa Eldridge concealer costs as much per gram as 22 and 24 karat gold. That can really put the cost of a consumable product into perspective. 😅
Can you remind me of any shampoo and conditioner good for oily roots, dry ends (short hair same length as yours, but slightly thinner hair) please?! 🙏🙏
Focussing on skin care this year, so will be very picky on what makeup I spend on - needs over wants. Skin care has to come first - have spent the last week slathering my face in cicalfate as the dryness is out of control - bright red and sore looking patches or very dry skin, worst I’ve ever seen ans such a turn around from my youth and the oil slick i endured down the t-zone 😮. Having to review all of my skin care, including spf, to take account of this new situation.
NO fo black...I think it will be too dreary and also will not flatter you. Even charcoal would be better choice if you want something in that direction. I really think the black will be drab.
I am always so surprised at influencers’ opinions of Natasha Denona’s eye shadows! The worse eye product I ever tried has been Natasha Denona’s blacker than black single eyeshadow. Firstly it is not that black and secondly you need to re apply it within an hour. 🤷🏻♀ And no I am not oily. Very dry skin. It has put me off trying any other eyeshadows from the brand!
Please don't do black! I loved both the green and brown because they flatter you so much. I say go back to the green for spring/summer and then the brown for fall/winter.
The background Colour: i THOUGHT it was your Lounge and i was GOING TO SAY a Beigey Colour and then YOU said Black. I was like Black Nooooooooo, then I realised it's NOT your Lounge and it's your Working Space SO Yeah, Black would be nice, G xxx
For background, I would vote for navy blue or a Deep Forest green as opposed to black. Black around your face, only deep into the shadow of any wrinkles on your face, just saying.

I love the color of your wall, as is. I do like neutral, natural colors. Maybe just changing accessories?
Many blessings for 2025!!💖💖💖
Oh no! Not Black for sure. Loved the green that you had before! Black would be too much. What a very pretty look Gemma.
Since you asked i prefer a neutral gray or lighter colour to keep the focus on your face and the makeup. Glad to see you back, cheers to a slow January!
I understand the January mood, but happy to see you back 🎉
I love Lisa, but the pencils are big no from me. So little product for the price, I just use a tiny brush with the same result. Definitely heading to Dior for the bronzers!!
The Dior bronzers looked stunning on you!
I like the current background. Save time and money. Just mix up the accessories to change it seasonally. You'll be amazed what a difference the finishing touches make to the room 😊
Love the idea of forest green in the background. Or a very deep espresso/sable brown. I have a thing for richly saturated colors.😊

I would pick the ND eyeshadow for you. Perfect day to night without all the shimmer
The blush is everything!!! You look incredible today 🩷
And the BK brush, I must buy!!

Thanks Gemma see you soon ❤
Happy New Year x
Welcome back love 😊 I can't wait for the liquide concealer from Lisa as well. I will invest then to both concealers for sure ❤
Thank you. xxx

So impressed with foundation. Best I've seen you wear. Probably ever
Btw I just think you hair is just beautiful- suits you so well!
Love the radiant bronzer ❤
How about a peel and stick wallpaper, so fun!
Oh great idea she can change it up as often as she likes
Lisa went too far with what she’s charging for the concealer. Wayne Goss’ explanation puts it in great perspective. 😮
Love black!!! Yes plants!!! Snake plants love the brown tho maybe a tan or caramel yay
I would pick the blush for you. Go for it😊
Have you reviewed the Laura Geller baked powders? (foundation, bronzer, blush, eye shadows)
Hi Gemma, love you and your Mums product reviews! I was wondering whether your mum would be doing a Seint makeup review? Now they are in the UK. I would love to see you guys review this cream makeup. X
I'm not sure Jo xx

To be honest I think £27 is quite decent for the product and how I'd use it. x

Happy New Year to you 🫶🏻I’m dying for you to try the new ABH foundation before I buy xxx😅
I'll buy it as soon as it's available x
🥂🫶🏻fabulous
Ooh I’m looking forward to you trying the What’s Up blusher. It’s Geek Out of Water’s favourite blushers
I'd never heard of them before. The packaging reminds me of a cheap fridge magnet from a souvenir shop. Haha! The blush is gorgeous though x
Navy blue behind you (not French Navy, DEEP, true navy!...) 😋💜
(Also, Genova, the proper Italian name for Genoa, is pronounced as " GEN-o-vah") 💜
I like that idea x
Was just thinking of how to word exactly what you said!
Hi Gemma, I think green would be a perfect backdrop. Check out Overtly Olive by Dulux
Really hope you will review the new ABH foundation. It reads like it will be perfect 🧐
Can you remind me of any shampoo and conditioner good for oily roots, dry ends (short hair same length as yours, but slightly thinner hair) please?! 🙏🙏
I love using eyeshadow as my liner but without fail, after some time, I get smudging under my eyes! What am I doing wrong?
Dior bronzer ❤❤❤
blush 👌
i pick the PP concealer 😊

I’d pick the paler Dior Bronzer
It's so beautiful x
When anyone refers to something as super natural my brain goes straight to ET 😂😂 my brain defaults. No change there then 😂 xxx
To be honest I remember thinking that when I did the rough edit x
NO fo black...I think it will be too dreary and also will not flatter you. Even charcoal would be better choice if you want something in that direction. I really think the black will be drab.
Could you use on your brow if have not many hairs
@@pamelabrett1331 yes x
Waiting for pay day 😂

I somehow see a soft peach with you 🤔

I love the idea of Forest Green. With Gemma hair and skin colour, the deep green would look super😊
Good idea x
Agree. Black would wash you out I think
Love all the products you used today you have beautiful skin wish I could say the same of mine ...😢...❤
Have you forgot to link the video about worst products.. and also the comment about longevity of the foundation you promised?
Definitely not black! Way too harsh for your fair complexion! What about a soft sage green or peachy taupe colour? Thank you for your hard work!
Pretty girl
Not black
White background
Yes! I’m useless 🤣🤣🤣🤍🤍🤍🤍
