As a fellow lupus sufferer, I’m so jealous of how clear and even her skin is!! My skin has so much texture from all the times I’ve had bad butterfly rash, & it is ALWAYS red. Also as a side note, the butterfly is caused by a lupus flare, which has many triggers, not just sun. Sun is just one of the many causes.

I use that Korean sun screen you recommended for her and I love it. For my oily skin it leaves a nice mattified look without drying me. Been using it for months!!!!!
Thank you so much for centering Selena’s lupus in this video, Susan ✨As someone with autoimmune disease, it made me feel seen. I will say re: fragrance, it took me a full decade of using fragrance-containing products to become sensitized to it
I have been using the airy version of the etude house sunprise. It does have a mild odor but it's a sunscreen odor not essential oils and it's very light scented it goes away quickly. Also for me no white cast. There are some that show a hell of a white cast even on really pale people. Looking at you bare republic. It blends in nicely. Been really happy with it.
When I prep my skin for makeup, my skincare differs than when I don't wear makeup. Mainly being more serums when not wearing makeup. And I ABHOR Dimethicone on my super oily skin. I have tried so many different types of silicones and dimethicones and 100% of every one makes my skin go from oily to literally greasy.
About the acne thing and how you're totally right: prednisone, something Selena is constantly on for anti-rejection and to control her lupus flares, causes acne in a lot of people. I've been under it constantly before and it would give me full blown cystic acne the moment I would lay off of it!
when I went to my dermatologist, he immediately recommended a blood test to check all my levels. They were normal, but it helped him understand my skin better.

@Rahel Manukulasuriya I understand what your saying. I actually apply my skin care starting on damp skin. I wash my face snd then apply my first product to damp skin, then I apply the next product before the first product fully sinks in. So basically I apply each product to slightly damp skin. My last product is sunscreen and my skin is still damp. Then I pat the sunscreen in until it’s dry :)
Korean mineral sunscreens you can find are the purito comfy water, make prem have a fews, both the innisfree daily mild one, and the pyunkang yul ATO spf are titanium dioxide only and for me it’s perfect because my skin can’t tolerate zinc in sunscreens at all. I have lupus and the sun does not only create skin issues, but a day later, it will show itself in joint pain and muscle soreness. Don't ask me why suncreen helps avoid the physical affects of lupus, but it does. I don't even allow the warmth of the sun to last long on my skin., and actually if feels like its burning like a vampire. That's how sensitive I am to the sun and I have brown skin. I will use the sun visor in the car (I swivel it around so it covers the side of my face). But oh yes SPF 50, I also use Colorscience powder, and actually big hats if I know I'll be in a lot of sun. Glad she mentioned it and so many people deal with this.
I use Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish and I love it! I have oily and acne-prone skin and that sunscreen is perfect for me. SO FAR, it's the only sunscreen I've used that have real matte finish. That etude house sunscreen SHOULD NOT be used by people with dry skin. It has denatured alcohol in the top ingredients it dried my skin out like crazy steer clear. I don't don't understand why she would recommend a product she hasn't tried 😒
I really love her and love the video. But why doesn't she take care of her neck as well? It should be part of her skin routine
Where’s your sweater from??
