How many slats do you need. I was thinking about incorporating this concept to a truck camper build that has fewer slats so it can be torn down quickly.
I used ten slats for this bed, but I think you could get away with using six without losing too much support. I've slept on six of them before, but I ended up going back to ten slats just because the support is better for the mattress long term. In conclusion, if you're using it for a truck camper, six will do just fine. Especially if you're looking to assemble and disassemble it multiple times without wasting too much time. I enjoy watching camper buildouts so please let me know if you post a video or timelapse because I'd like to see what you end up doing if you're comfortable sharing that.
