Thank you for the inspiring video. I pretty much followed your design for a king size floating bed. I used 5/4" yellow pine for the frame and used the Kreg Pocket screw jig for all of the joints. I skipped the headboard. What I like about this design is how there are no bed legs to hit your toes on. I put three coats of polyurethane on the wood prior to assembling.

I wonder why the apparent natural inclination of oriental craftsamen is to pull planers and saws towards them, whereas in the west the natural inclination is to cut on the push stroke?

Splendid design. But I think you should have use better quality of wood, these are good, but I think too noisy for bed, can hear cracking sound when you step on it. Anyway, good job.
