Mate. I appreciate that you can make beautiful projects without a million dollar workshop. it seems these days everyone on TH-cam has a professional level shop teaching people who have basic tools how to woodwork
I like the principle of the backboard solution, not even attached to the bed at all, fantastic! I watched tons of DIY vids lately, had been to the furniture store for weeks, to get inspired for my very first bed project... and I might stick to the wall concept of this video. Thank you very much for sharing. Greetings from germany :)
I love this project, but I think that I would probably make the head wide enough to integrate the nightstands right into it; maybe with a’T’ type of connection that slide between the horizontal slats of the headboard. I particularly like the finish as well as the use of sustainable teakwood; beautiful.
My suggestion is forget the legs and build under bed storage. I live in an old house with limited storage so maximizing storage is key to every thing I build.
Loooveee it !!! Brother, my patio is small, so I have an idea, but not much money lol I have 3 dogs a female boxer and 2 Xoloitzcuintlis (Mexican hairless dog), so I wanna make or build a dog house for them but at the same time it can be use as a sitting bench/area, maybe 24 inch tall x 6 ft long x 3 ft deep. Thank you.
Love the basic design however ... even the sanded round over corners of the frame are shin-kickers ... I'd cut a full semi-circle there. Also, the headboard might be less of a head-catcher if it were extended in width beyond that of the bed. Maybe as a backing for the side tables. Groovy overall. Cheers
Wow really interested in the teak timber! The fact that grows so fast and price is close to pine is mind boggling... It is similar in hardness and load capacity to traditional mature teak?
Is that Mexican teak? I'm working a lot with Mexican teak (I am in Mexico) and it looks very similar. Not quite at the prices of pine (at least here), but not too expensive either. It's a very popular wood amongst my clients
Not trying to be a Karen here, but in addition to building a roof-top deck that is about the most unsafe thing I have ever seen, you also don't wear a mask when sanding. Simple steps will help avoid serious injury and health issues.
Why aren't you running video pre-roll ads on your videos? Would be better than the banners as they pay more and viewers don't have to close the banners to see the content...just an idea to make some more moola...

like this, only thing I would change is just make the headboard a little wider!
The bed is beautiful and it’s really nice to see Jessie.
I like the idea of multiple cleats across that form the headboard. Differing heights maybe a modular sconces or reading light or even fan.

Really cool idea with the French cleat! I’m taking that one!
On the lookout for those corner legs, here in the UK.
your freehanded circular-saw taper cut skill level: 100000000 .. fantastic design.. HMM: ideas worth sharing
Love all the builds.
Just saw you on this old house! Love this channel!
The model reading toward the end of the video.....🦊🦊🦊

Yeah I much prefer under bed storage makes it easier to place bed sheets and anything else I don’t have the space for. Really saves on space
Love those legs, and the French cleat idea. Great video. Thanks.
very clean and very nice design. keep making. god bless.
Nice job Ben I love the figuring in the wood
Great build. Enjoy all the content podcast and projects.
Love it. As a renter, I love modular designs and diy furniture that can be broken down and easily transported.
More "sophisticated"?! This is plenty "sophisticated", thank you! I love these modern builds that are so diy friendly!
Great video. Bed is a banger. Mahalo for sharing! 🐒🙂

Just got the blueprints. What would be a good way to attach the head board to the frame.
Terrific design. The PDF plans, however, are super confusing.

Waiting for you to buy stake in Ryobi so that you can become an entirely self-sponsored man! Haha love your content

nice... Hey do you guys have any plans for a modern DIY hammock stand???
Amazing ♥️♥️♥️

Beautiful ❤️
love this build. Do you think the hairpin legs could damage the floors with all the weight?
Hello, nice. What size of bed is tis for?
Enjoy the French cleat system.
Can you make a bad box for keeping clothes and anything else in a simple way 👍
Love this!
the best video
Where do I get some of that teak?
certified ban... oh wrong channel, buuuuut it is!! looks great!
Awesome!
Good
Any word on when that wood would be available?
When will the teak be available😭😭
Measurements in PDF file??
@HomeMadeModern were you able to get a link to the wood you used in this video?
Uau. Ficou maravilhoso esse conjunto. Adoro ver a montagem dos móveis que vocês fazem. Principalmente quando é de madeira. Muito bom 👏👏👏👏
mattress link pls

How do you keep the mattress from sliding around?
Great idea...hey man where can I find those hairpin legs
maravilha .muito top valeu.tmj.
is the middle of the bed frame hanging over air sturdy enough ? love the modular design !
How much?
❤
"ONLY requires 4 power tools"
*me who only has a hacksaw and some sandpaper*
Cost?
👍👏👏👏👏
Just added my name for the legs
maldición, quiero hacerlo, pero no tengo el equipo xD
Teak instead of pine?
Wow, i wish we had something similar here in Europe.
The sides of the bed kinda scares my shins, many nights i banged them on beds like that.
8:20 I'd rather just stack 2 mattresses.....
OMG, the 100th bed video uploaded to this channel! HOW many beds does a person need??
I am concerned that the bed frame might not stand to kids jumping. They already broke my Ikea couch
Reading the title, I was wondering who's going to be using power tools in the bedr..nvm
Who puts steel legs on a bed ? That bed is moving
What is your obsession with making beds? Haha

Its easy but im not not going to do 🥲
The freaking legs aren’t even for sale really 😢
Great to see it. I did it too. The plans from Woodglut helped me a lot :)

I can make this out of 2x4's and some plywood but it would still cost me $2600
The legs are toe jammers.
