    Hello, I try to stretch for 3 months, minimum 10 weeks, sometimes get protective style at week 8 and leave it for 3 weeks. Yes, since then my hair is stronger and longer, and I wearing it out all the way, love it!

    I stretch for 16 weeks at a time and start a protective style like box braids at week 7 or 8. I definitely didn’t start there, it was a journey from relaxing every 4/6 weeks to 16 but it’s doable with a good schedule and maintenance. My hair has gotten so long and thick because of stretching my relaxers!

    I use to stretch my relaxers for 6 weeks. Like every time I see new growth I’d relax it and it just made my hair thin and break A LOT and it was stuck at shoulder length for years.
    I got tired of my hair being so damaged that I watched videos and it was recommended for me to stretch them longer which I did. The first time I attempted stretching for 8 weeks and now I stretch to 12 and let me tell u my hair loves it! My hair is super thick now and it’s thriving and it’s at bra strap length now. I thought it would never grow.
    I currently have a protective style in for like 2 months now and I’m about 15 weeks post relaxer. I’m really hoping it wouldn’t do any harm to my hair but other than that I absolutely love stretching

    I used to stretch for 12 weeks but had to go to 24 weeks when the hairdressers were closed because of COVID, that was too long but my hair really thrived so now I am stretching 18-20 weeks

    I stretch my relaxers mail from 6 to 7 months at least and I’ve been getting a lot of growth that way

    I do stretch, 7 months because the salonists over here are out for my hair!
    Also, I don't completely relax my hair nowadays and it's been really good. Will recommend for people who have bad salonists as well and can't relax by themselves

      Texlaxing is the best thing I ever did to my hair. Just put some natural oil in the mixture before you begin. Brought my hair back to health. It’s now thick an able to hold length without breaking

    I relax my hair every 12 weeks almost to the day.
    I try pushing it for longer but my new (4c hair) growth gets tangled and difficult to comb, thereby causing breakage.
    Wish I could stretch for longer 😩.

    My advice is if your relaxed hair is damaged go to the hair salon to cut. The damage relaxed hair keep it in a protective hair style for a month try hair products that work for your relaxed hair and it will grow longer healthier and thicker

    Relaxed my hair 2 months ago. Trying to go 5 more months without relaxing. My hair will be in knotless braids (for 3-4 months at a time). Wish me luck 😁

    Curl activator at the beginning of the second month..for four weeks.. that gets me through to my next relax day.. i was stretching to 4 months but i kept it protected with a wig..
    my hair fell out due to kidney disease..so i cut it off and started over.. every four months i got my roots relaxed..changed my diet and got on a weekly regime with wash deeo conditioning.. i did this for 13 months.. now i hate wigs.. i tried crochet braids for one month and did not appreciate how my hair felt and looked after taking them out.. im not a braid girl.. so now i bun it.. wear extensions ponytails..but i make sure the hair tie is not tight..and the hair ties i use are covered with satin..
    But.. curl activator on my roots has changed the game..
    I do use living proof and unlay..
    but im about to roll up to super cuts to get my ends dusted..
    The thing is.. ive not found a stylist that understands dusting is just that and not a cut..the Caucasian stylists seem to completely understand what dusting means. i only go to the salon for my relaxer every 3 months now and nothing else.. i leave with wet hair...
    And as far as coloring gray hairs.. i use sebastian cellophane.. i do this myself also.. its super easy and it does rinse out eventually but its just a color coat thats super mild.
    Ive had to take control of my hair and learn it.. (i do have a hooded dryer)... its a lot of work..but the benefits of gorgeous hair is completely worth it

    I used to stretch my hair for 6 months. It was very easy because I just bunned my hair and went. When you relax too soon, that leads to breakage and thin hair. I'm natural now, but I am going to texlax. I get better results not relaxing bone straight..

    I stretch my relaxer up to 3 months, my tell time is when my braid outs are extremely fuzzy in the roots and edges, w hen the edges don’t lay down 😩 it’s time

    My longest stretch was 10/20 - 4/21 with no protective styles. I also air dried my hair straight, so no roller sets. The main product that helped me stretch with ease was The Mane Choice pre-poo or African Pride pre-poo. Currently, my last relaxer was 4/9/21. I don’t know how long I will stretch this time.

    I stretch 10-12 weeks. When I've gotten my relaxer last Wednesday, my hair beautician told me to start coming every 8 weeks.

    24 month stretch is all natural and would be like relaxing virgin hair (my belief). Would you recommend a kiddy relaxer on stretched hair (less harsh kit)? Thanks for your helpful advice, love your braids and your makeup! God bless you!

    I used to relax at 12 weeks, then went to 16 then went to 20. Now I relax twice a year with a mild for the 3A front and regular for the 3B rest of my hair using Mizani. I just feel it is healthier and better in the long run. However I do not do anything, no protective styles just keep it in a wrap most of the time and go to salon twice a month for a wash, deep condition and hood dry. I do not blow dry or use direct heat. My hair is loving this regimen.

    • @IannaYvonne
      @IannaYvonne  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow!! I have never thought of using two different strength relaxers. Because it’s the same for me … the back of my hair is more coarse and curled than the front. Thanks for sharing ❤️

    Hey jus recently subscribe to your channel I usually watch your videos on TH-cam I jus started my hair journey an I have seen a change from stretching my relaxer only for 3 months I always got burns when I stretch too long I have a question I have course hair and I have been using regular strength relaxer on my hair do u think I should change the strength of the relaxer and I have very sensitive scalp what do you recommend I do the next thing I noticed is that 1 side of my hair is thicker than the other side what do u think causes that.

    • @IannaYvonne
      @IannaYvonne  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello. Thanks for watching and subscribing ❤️ If you have a sensitive scalp I would either use a regular or mild relaxer. I will tell you that a mild relaxer may not fully straighten your hair if it is very coarse. Optimum has a pretreatment for your scalp that is excellent for preventing burns when relaxing. I have a video on my channel discussing this topic further if your interested.
      As for the thicker hair on one side of your head…. Do you wrap your hair at night? people can develop thinning on the side or direction that they wrap their hair. If so try wrapping in the opposite direction.

    • @mishikaharris7499
      @mishikaharris7499 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IannaYvonne I will try the optimum definitely , no I don't wrap my hair that often I catch in one and plait the end or put it in a bun that's what I do. I started using natural oils because when using the grease I usually have a lot of dandruff so using natural oils works better for me less dry scalp so thanks for replying so I look forward to watching more of your videos
