After we made this video, the car was on the dyno and it produced 702HP! The 650HP was a safe estimate.. So credits to a lot of commenters who said it had more power !

From my calculations, it's not a cheap car.
You buy the baseline vehicle then do all the works (provided it's a good example) - make sure to buy LCi model.
And then you'll have a car ready for use. Probably looking at double what you pay for normal usage, but to do it truly properly - be prepared to pay up to x3 more.
So if the base car is $25k in us, then you'll have to budget (incl. the car) at least around $50k if you want it to be all good. $75k to $100k isn't unheard of, but you'll have the perfect e60 m5.

Modern BMWs have much more/better tech in them and are much faster top speed wise and acceleration wise and have better fuel economy doing all that too.
Is your only argument 'it has a big engine'? I can see appreciation for the tech of this M5 when it came out, but none of you are talking about that. All I see it 'big engine' arguments.

Yet, non of the latest BMW models are as perfectly stylish as E60, are as powerful as E60. F**k it. We want it back.
It might never come back due to regulations and stuff like that (CO2 emissions blablablaa...) that's why the M5 dropped from V10 to V8 and the M3 from V8 to Inline6 . The 7 series is the only BMW as far as I remember that still come with a huge V12 :/

Podge my sisters man has an m6 576 hp bro it was insannneee it was toooo fast, and he must full it every 200-300 km if he drives very fast if you drive normal and low rpm it has a compansition of 9-11mpg or liter

Friend of mine had an m5 e60.
What can I say, the best M car ever produced, pure engineering masterpiece.
But unfortunately, he broke it down, the rod bearings, reving too much on cold start or driving aggressively when the oil or the temperature isn't on the proper value, these cars aren't meant for everybody.
I doubt HE broke it down. The car just breaks. Rod bearings getting messed up, is a flaw with the car itself, not the drivers.

It needs to be loved and cared for. Unfortunately loads of e60 m5 were abused / neglected by people that didn’t know how to look after them
This is not just a car, this is a piece of history, the way it revs to 8000 rpm its so emotional, best V10 ever made, this car is priceless

The E60 M5 will forever be my favorite M5
It pulls like an Aventador on the entire speedometer range. No wonder, as it seems to have similar power figure. This is the car that made a lot of fans love BMW.
One of the best v10 engines ever built hopefully bmw can bring these back to a modern day v10 I would buy one immediately over any Ferrari or lambo 💯💯
Remaking the i8 with a second generation of this engine would be the greatest accomplishment of BMWs history. Unfortunately they are way too invested in the EVs to ever produce an engine like this again.

Best car? Sure if you count rod bearings and the Vanos pump grenading the engine then sure best car. If you have to thousands needed to keep the car running then sure its an okay car. The transmission is still horribly aggressive and for a “luxury” car, you’d want smoother shifts.

This M5 isn't turbocharged, its supercharged. The compressors doesn't use the hot and pressurized exhaust, they use kenetic energy from the engine.

Big common problem in Germany right now. Stupid people are lazy and stay on the middle lane. They force other small and slow cars to use the left lane. That slows down the traffic and causes rear-end collisions. It's forbidden in Germany to overtake on the right lane, but sometimes you have so much space there, because some stupid idiots block the middle lane, that more and more people try it on the right, what also the cause of accidents again. You have no Speed limits in Germany, theoretically ... Good old times are over, stupidity is increasing!
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but if you look who sits behind the wheel during the overtake, you see all kind of people from young to old ... And most of them look very german!

why is it that mosr car companies tune with turbos rather than superchargers? this is the first car ive seen with a bi superchargerand damn its giving you power all the time, no delays, no lagging, straight to the top speed as soon as throttle is engaged
