Nice video. There's a lot of good marine EV applications available. I've been enjoying our high power Stealth electric outboard. Our 16' bow-rider has a top speed of 27 mph and a 20+ mile range. The 144v water cooled 75hp motor is powered by 3-180ah NMC batteries. It's perfect for the type of boating we enjoy. View on you tube: marks gas to electric boat conversion.

Why did you choose a displacement hull and not a pontoon style hull? Seems like more efficient displacement would offer longer battery life.
Also, what it the entire weight of the boat? We do swim support in the SF Bay and these would be really great since our longest swims are around 12 miles at around 3-5 knots.
All and All, still a very cool boat. . . .

Pure Watercraft actually has a Pontoon that they are releasing very soon, which actually has a partial hydro-foil wing for added efficiency.
As for the Highfield rib, there are different applications for different boats and its always great to have options. The weight of the Highfield 420 with 1 battery pack is 911 lbs.

@@aqualectric-gi2ln thank you for the honest and clear answer! there it is, 20 miles is not yet enough for such an offshore capable boat. i ll wait for a few more years when the battery technology really has break trough.

@@kuang01 in most electric rhibs you can just add more batteries if you need more range. plenty can do over 100km now.

@@licencetoswillyou can't, batteries are heavy, you will be using a good chunk of your energy just moving the battery.

Awesome system. The only thing I don't understand is why the white and light gray color scheme? Seems kind of boring and dated in my opinion.

Extremely important... The newest already available and improving by the day are battery packs with a million plus mile range with almost zero degradation. So re powering / replacing battery packs won't been needed in anyone; lifetime... The new batterie will outlive any human on the planet.

A joy - another overpriced floating toxic bon fire with no range.
