Bo & Cassie was just not natural and seemed forced. DuAnn's blackmail of Renee plus Julia Medina is the best thing going at present. Max & Leanne is another bad pairing that should've been nipped in the bud.
I know this all started when max was recast pretended to be Matt Kingston. She had no $$ it seemed as max took her out of the nunnery. Anyway she gave Andy the bar max went into buisness at the intruder got hurt & gabs had to pay his medical bills. Funny on a soap how they went into medical insurance btw. How many times was vagrant todd b4 the money in the hospital. Shot stabbed maybe being on parole helped. That's how gabs obsession w/ money started. Then she got caught up in max being a buke & b/c Asa was always cruel to tina she dreamed of being part of that family. In the end Gabrielle wasn't a murderer & when she saw tina beaten & Johnny dee dying she did call the cops checked on tina & left. I'm not sure why she's in prison
I thought Gabrielle showed up to tell how she lied about Max being Asas son and blast everybody, lol. She was the one so greedy for money, Max couldn't care less. Poor Cord. Tina is about to lose it
1:30...Kudos to Dorian! She came in at the right time to blow away Viki's nonsensical preening and the elitist sycophants' BS. A cobalt blue dress would have been perfect for her, fitting that raw true-blue nature of hers, even though that black dress was great. Dorian the streetwise hypocrisy buster! That lady had gall, courage and a sharp wit. 💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜
I am really enjoying watching them finally use Elaine more then they did in 1990, but she's no Robin. Robin would have had Dorian strut in with a red dress and possibly a hat or fur coat to crash a party.
Neither Robin or Elaine were responsible for wardrobe. I always felt that they made Elaine's Dorian's wardrobe too rigid and less glamorous than it should have been. But her scenes here with Jon Russell mark the signs of subtext & undercurrent that Elaine originally brought to Dorian... a woman in pain. Robin was able to carry that on quite well when she returned (well, much later when the writers finally leaned into it again - particularly Claire Labine's revisiting of Dorian's upbringing). But it's something that was never tapped into before.
@@romanseano True, that it wasn't tapped into until later. I was so glad when they fleshed out Dorian's character more and had more background on her nightmarish childhood. I always knew that she wasn't simply this "evil" villain and that there was more to her story and that yes, she was a woman in a lot of pain. Add in that Dorian was an introvert struggling in a mostly extroverted, highly social small town, which is why the Buchanans assumed that she was always "lonely" and was "anti-social." Dorian was actually an introvert who didn't want a lot of shallow acquaintances who called themselves "friends." Dorian craved deep, meaningful connections with a few loyal, deep friends, but had a very hard time finding it in Llanview. Adding to her social problems was that she was different and stood out in conventional, comformist Llanview. I was so happy when she was finally able to escape Llanview for Washington, DC later in the series. In a big, diverse city like DC, she wouldn't have as much trouble fitting in. There she could connect with other deep-thinking introverts. And most people in DC would not be put off by her brashness, her streetwise manner and her quirks.

A social introvert myself, I didn't consider that because Dorian has always been so attention-seeking! But attention-seeking doesn't necessarily mean you seek it from the masses, like an extrovert does. Then I heard decades later that she was also very vocal about the way her hair should look in certain scenes.

Gabrielle going to jail for 15 years was wild! Did Fiona choose to leave the show on her accord at this time? She ended up on Guiding Light a year later.
I think she wanted a raise but abc was doing cuts. She was on her way back to OLTL when she left guiding light the first time around. Was Julia still on there ?
No wonder asa married alex 2x hes enamoured w/ her for bo. I know they made this educated lawyers fbi agent wacko i dont get why. She & bo had chemistry & since asa & bo were in triangles before ( delilah & beckylee ) im surprised they didnt go there ( as much as i loved renee) they weirdly paired bo w_ cassie had alex literally go fatal attraction. Then a sarah recast failed horribly & asa went off to his worst marriage to blair & wound up w/ alex who left him ironically for carlo who she was trying to nail in 90/91. Honestly alex & asa were a fun pairing. Loved their cleopatra cowboy wedding 😊😊
