I watched this show from 86 to 90. I tapped out when Andrea left the show and was replaced by Karen. Of course at the time we didn't know Andrea was being stalked. I didn't connect with Karen bc I was expecting Andrea to show up. Again I did not know that Andrea HAD to leave which forced them to replace her. When I saw Karen I could not connect with her due to Andreas's iconic performance. It really overshadowed Karen for me. I was already very upset that they killed off Maria. I was hoping that they would magically bring her back to life like they tend to do when they want to. But 1988, 89, and 90 came and went and there was no "Maria returns from the Grave storyline" that I was hoping for. At the time I had no idea what was going on with the staff and Barbara Luna, I just wanted Crazy Maria back. Especially since they did have Jaime and Ursula return. So when Karen appeared that was the final straw that caused me to tap out. Stating the obvious we did not have the BTS culture via social media that we do now. So the audience really was in the dark about the goings on bts. I'm watching this out of nostalgia. Overall I'm finding that sadly I did not miss out on much. These storylines could not compete with the golden 80s. I appreciate that Gabrielle and Vicki carried the show even though their storylines were tired retreads (gabby's constant manipulations and Vicki's constant suffering with something). It is still fun to just catch up with what happened after I left. Currently the only thing that is actually of interest to me is Duann's blackmail. I'm wonder how far this will go. I just love a good unhinged villain....hence why I loved Carlo, Ursula, Maria, Jaime, and Mitch. To Classic OLTL: Do you have the beginning of Paul Rauch's era? I think that was 1984 or 1985. I have heard of a villain called Tracy James that I think might have been the first Villain of Paul's era?
What a waste. Fiona was the most featured actor for 89 & much of 90. Anyone she partnered up w/ was amazing as parter in crime Micheal Carlo tina. Fiona also was so over worked during the babyswitch trial & prison halfway house she looked so frail wore no make up ever & looked so haggard even not enough time for her to get her cut. She put 1000% in & when her contract was up they refused to give her a raise ! 4 years of carrying story I mean gabs babyswitch gave Micheal Brenda dan poor Larry john tons of storyline that when it ended all were lost or killed off. Micheal sadly floundered. Brenda's story & dans was still revolving around the switch aftermath. Once Micheal died Brenda was rarely seen. Dan dumped her had that boring story w/ Laura who left
@jaredbaratta8589 Debra was easy on the eyes. Julia remained on the show for longer than I thought after Gabrielle left. I think she pops up as late as summer of 1992. However, after that I don't think Debra or Julia were ever mentioned again. Even when Gabrielle returned.
Tina and Cord (thumbs up)
Cheers for the episode appreciate it good to have Vicki have some free time
Wow. DuAnn is a bigger snake than Carlo
I Love this soap!! Thank you for the uploads!!!
Wait til Megan sees the house. I remember that scene well 😂

Nope. Different character but same 2nd actress. As far as the affair goes... Well lets just say Jamie Sanders is involved...
And no Gabrielle in opening credits
@jaredbaratta8589 oh I watched each episode until 2013
@jaredbaratta8589 and she'll be back in 2001
