Cinema 4D Tutorial / Pixel Style Effect / no plugins, only cloner

This is a very easy setup that could give you a nice abstract look and more if you tweak it further.
Also, you could change the cubes to whatever shapes you like.

All you have to do is to drag your footage and make sure the texture's projection is correct and appropriate to the screen aspect ratio. I showed how I handle that in the tutorial when I assigned the material to the cloner.
