    Hello everyone! It's about time for a new video. A couple of days back I went to see a concert
    and I thought it would be a cool idea to bring a film camera and make a video about it. I've shot many concerts in the past using a digital camera but this was the first proper attempt shooting on film. I shot Ilford HP5 and pushed it to 3200 which is something I haven't done before.
    Hope you enjoy the episode, see you in the next video! :)

Thanks for atleast telling us what your settings were for that concert, this info will help me in the future.

  • @csaba5415
    @csaba5415 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    This would have almost justified 1/15 or 1/30. But hey, awesome video! The pictures basically unfolded themselves thanks to a playful band and an engaging crowd! Is it only me that thinks the photos actually look more lively and fun than the moments they have captured? They really look awesome!!! Very good job! Good choice of focal lengths too. Would you have done it with 35mm? I suppose you have to be able to previsualize the image before you even show up. Have you been in this location before so you could tell which focal lengths worked the best?

    • @therealsirrobin
      @therealsirrobin  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! 1/60 was really needed, otherwise lots of shots would have been to blurry. A 35mm lens would have been too long. I used to shoot a 24/1.4 in this venue and that felt just right.

    Hey, how about developing the HP5 at 3200 in R09 One Shot? I know there are some better developers but I'm very familiar with the Rodinal and Fomapan or Ilford Pan 400 films. Results are satisfying for me and the Rodinal is cheap and has long expiry date after opening, had one open for a year :D (stored in the dark an closed ofcourse ;) ) I don't shoot very often so it is the best option to have the R09 for me. I have one opportunity to shoot at my friend's concert for the first time ever and I'm little afraid that photos will be too dark, so it is best to shoot at 3200 even if there is enough light? I have Nikon F90X so it's a good camera for events like this. Which films are good for 3200 push? If someone has some experience it would be great to share, I'm looking for advice, the more the better :D
