      I heard that so much that I tested it out. You could do the same. Put your head under the covers for half an hour or an hour, and, with your head still under there, use a pulse oximeter to check your blood oxygen level. Then, half an hour or so later, put on a mask and wear it for the same length of time, and measure the level of oxygen in your blood.

    Very very very valuable lesson we have here.
    For me, I need to sleep enough as I feel I need to, stop over eating, drink more water, eat less sugar, do not listen to music too loud, stop skipping breakfast, do more exercises, and should avoid letting my head covered when sleeping.
    I will do my best =_=

      True ie. intermittent fasting. However: if you have a mentally demanding job, doing it at 8AM on empty stomach and possibly suboptimal blood sugar might not be optimal for the job.

    I think the skipping breakfast part is an old one. Nowadays scientist are encouraging people to skip breakfast or just having 1-2 meals a day only as much as possible to extend fasting state, which helps the body be more healthy.

    Skipping breakfast doesn't affect negativly the brain. It all depends on your calories balance. Actually intermitting fasting can even help your brain. Intermitting hunger has always a good effect on the whole body, especially the immune system

      the watching porno thing should be common sense, but everything in moderation, even porno
      (if it at least is tasteful, that is) can be fairly innocuous as long as it doesn't take over you mind/life/thoughts 100% of the time..
      Smoking weed, for example: I do it, but I am not getting stupid from it because I do not abuse it and I drink once or twice a month..
      As for hard drugs? I quit!!
      (and got a lot smarter and healthier, became a much nicer person *because* I quit)

      My work threatens people to work when their sick or they will lose their job. Some people can lose sleep against their will. So are people who break their leg and are bred ridden for a year smarter than kids who exercise physically. There is nothing wrong with athletes. There are many biased opinions about people who exercise. Others sit all day. We need exercise to help our brain to work too.

      So if I was a successful gold digger like I believe my aunt was, I would not have to prove myself. I guess that in the past, women expected that they needed a husband to take care of. Wow. I am single and getting up in age. Judge Judy keeps on saying that taking care of kids is harder than working for pay. Tahoe does not consider every job. I would find it nice to have someone else’s retirement money, but I am not the selfish type. Pretty much, I am independent and criticized as inferior for it. Does that make sense? It would only make sense if you have a similar experience. It is stressful to be alone. I feel for
      those homeless women and men. Some married people say bad things about homeless people. I wonder if being disrespectful is bad for people’s brains

    I would say two of the things thats also damaging to the brain are 1.Routine. Routine habits as this doesnt stimulate the thought process. It works like a presaved map in your brain. Changing routines, Doing things differently creates alertness and an improved ability to think. 2. An Idle mind. Its important to engage in activities that stimulate the brains processes and functions of thought and recognition. Reading, working on Problem solving and analytical material, brain challenge questions etc... Doing things creatively etc... helps develop the brain and improves alertness.

      My issue is that I start work at 5:30AM. I already get up at 4:30 in order to shower, and I cannot fall asleep earlier than 10PM. My brain just won't shut off. Soooo I have zero minutes to eat breakfast in the morning.

    The breakfast part is a total BS, breakfast actually makes you dumber. Your body is an ancient machine that is not designed to consume large quantities of glucose, be it breakfast or dinner. I have noticed that my mind is much clearer after having fasted for a day, and this clarity goes away as soon as I eat something.

    My concentration is bad. I'm finding it hard to learn new things. I can't seem to absorb information -like if someone is explaining something new to me. I'm a ex heavy drinker and done a lot of the negative actions like on this video. I'm wondering if it's too late or is there a chance I can make my brain healthy again. Is there any help out there??     Good advice - except for skipping breakfast! Our body is wired for skipping meals - how else would our ancestors have survived? The 3 meal a day ‘idea’ is really very recent and not always helpful. Intermittent fasting has hugely positive physiological effects especially on the brain; children however should always have a healthy breakfast

      @@NJBization it's all brainwashing. Your body produces glycogen in the morning due to cortisol spike in the morning, that is the reason why we take bath in the morning to reduce the cortisol effects, that glycogen is enough to run us through late afternoon.
      What you are talking about is the mental set up. You have trained your body to eat 3 times a day, hence ghrelin is secreted the same time everyday and even if you skip a meal, you can't handle it, it's called insulin resistance. The early stage of diabetes. There are people who are living with just one meal a day, it's called OMAD, or one meal every other day, omeod. Check it if you can't believe it.

      If you check Dr Eric Berg channel, he clearly says what causes insulin resistance.
      I had been eating the 'normal' food like rice, wheat, shitty oil fried foods, that gave lots of problems, and then switched to keto (healthy fats+ veggies) I was in the best shape of my life the past 1.5 years.
      The key is to consume 0 net carbs. I did it and still reap the benefits. When insulin, estrogen, and cortisol are in control, the other bodily functions get back on to repair the body to its original state ie healthy state.

    Sleeping too much and laying in bed too much is something I’m having issue with. I added a chair in my room to remind me to sit in it. I was having confidence problems walking where I freeze in open spaces. Too much sitting in bed is bad. Also drink only half a cup of coffee because any more for me at least caused more anxiety.

    Yes, how is wearing face mask for 8 hours not as damaging. The n95 is very restricting and that is why it is the best to wear. But it is hard to breath while wearing it.

    I have always sleep five& half to six hours nightly. I am under doctor's care and only eat one meal per day. I have released 80 lbs & no longer on meds. Be careful when you paint with a broad brush.

      1/ the more you use your BRAIN the more Sugar it consumes! So you need Sugar
      2/The more you use your BRAIN the less you sleep because it stays active even when you sleep
      3/Earphones directly through your ears wake up certain cells of your BRAIN and awake you completely. Not too loud but loud enough
      4/We should eat after every 3 hours so technically there is no such things called breakfast what if I call it brunch???
      5/The MORE you use your BRAIN THE HUNGRIER YOU ARE & the MORE Food you NEED!!!

    I don't eat breakfast, my 1st meal will be around noon and I try to stop eating by 4pm. It takes about 16-18 hours to activate autophagy. Intermittent fasting is beneficial

    First thing I do when I wake up is drink a glass of water with a freshly squeezed whole lime and take a massive morning dump followed by a cold shower and then I eat a light breakfast afterwards. Works great and keeps me going.

    I don't agree with the skipping breakfast, I eat just twice a day in 6 hours and only drink water for remaining 18 hours, my head is much clearer and my eyesight improved, I have more energy. The breakfasts people eat today, processed cereals, toast, fruits, coffee with sugar, breakfast pastries etc is all starch and sugar which not only raises your blood sugar but affects your brain, It is also important to exercise your brain as much as your body. Reading, learning new language, watching ballet or opera, listening to classical music, learning a new skill. Idle brain dies as much as unused muscles

    The smoke doesn't give you ms.
    Ms is an autoimmune condition. In every immune condition you have an over boosted immune system which leads to numerous autoimmune conditions, not only ms. Please get your facts straight.
    When you indeed smoke you have a lower immune system not an over boosted immune system.
    You lost me at the breakfast because we have studies and doctors that says your body knows and when you don't eat in the morning you just do a fasting and you don't realize it.
    And then ms is the result of smoke. Oh my...
    Yes smoke is bad and you should quit asap, but it's not the one thing to blame for everything.

      For every immune disease the reason is not one but a multireason factor.

    Please make a video on how to rejuvenate the brain even when the sleep quota is less, like 4 hrs in the night time.
    I get only 4-5 hrs at night to get sleep, and 1-2 hrs at the day time due to my studies, work and all. Someone please guide me, in this routine how shall I keep my brain healthy and rejuvenating. And please make a video based on this too 🙏🏻

    me eat sweets when i can
    sleeping 6 hours on average
    never use headphones
    never slept with my head under the blanket
    i eat anything but not a binge eater
    i only do one thing at a time
    i dont smoke
    i only drink occasionally
    i skip breakfast
    if sick i stay home but not often
    no exercising
    i drink water, it all depends on the weather or the situation of the work that i am doing.
