I built that kit many years ago, I still have a broken propeller. I found if I sand the rivets it removes all the surface detail . I will use fine grade steel wool to soften the rivets but still leaves some definition.
despite my best efforts I will have to fill and sand the fuselage joins, I've not long done the same to a Halifax kit with raised detail, without disturbing too much, then re-riveting the affected areas. wish me luck!
its going to be fun! I'm putting the fuselage together as carefully as possible to try to minimise any filling, and I'll probably use a wet filler, PVA or painters caulk that can be smoothed with too much sanding.
Before putting fuselage halves together should have drilled holes in front of radio operators windows for antenna wires made from stretched sprue from kit ( still out of box ) 🤔
how would you drill a hole in the centre, between the fuselage halves, before they are fitted together? i just drill holes, use fishing line for aerial wires, its a lot easier than messing around with stretched sprue.
oh yeah i noticed that weeks ago, i could just take the guns out, drill a hole in the bottom and put them back its an easy enough fix, but then again times pressing a little on this build so i may not bother.

Thise old-fashioned rivets are going to be in my nightmares, I just know it. At least knock them down a little, lol.

1 minute 26 you ve got the wrong side in 😂 spent hours getting them to fit hole should be at the bottom 🤔 used everything out of box on mine
