I was looking for one of those baked milk tart recipes with the really thin pastry as a crust, but the fact that I don't have to pre-bake the crust already makes your recipe a winner

Wow Fatima, I am so glad I came across your Channel. You truly inspired me to do some baking. I just love your warm voice, giggling, and extra tips you always giving at your level of expertise. Really much appreciated.
I've never tried to make milk tart this way. I was always taught to cook the filling first before baking it. It seems that the custard would take longer to set if it is runny. I'll give this recipe a go thanks. Normally cinnamon and nutmeg is used in the filling but I'll definitely try the cardamom.👍
Slm Fatima show awesome stuff you make everything look and taste amazing and yes easy peasy you are one of a kind thanks for always sharing all your beautiful and awesome recipes 🥰
Hi. I need some help please. I tried this recipe as is, the only think I did different was warm the milk with a cinnamon stick because I love the cinnamon flavour. But I let the milk cook down completely as Fatima suggested different ways of making the filling. After the milk was cooled, I added the rest of the ingredients for the filling and added it to the cold base and baked as required. After baking my milk tart and letting it cool, the filling had holes in but could only be seen when cut. I’m also not sure if it was because I used brown sugar instead of white and maybe the sugar didn’t dissolve as well causing it to melt as it baked. There was a bit of a watery substance that came out of those holes while eating it that’s why I thought it milk have been the sugar. It tastes nice but I don’t like the texture. I like a smooth milk tart filling. This was my first time making one though.
Hi, could I blind bake the base first, then cook the custard on the stove top, then assemble and chill in the fridge? I have made this recipe twice now and it puffs up in the oven almost like a quiche, that’s why I’m asking.
Hi Aunty Fatima, was the milktart baked at 180 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes ? Looks divine! I'm going to try it today for Father's Day, since my dad has been craving milktart.

What size dish would this recipe be for, 20cm dish?
Love the alternative recipe that uses less eggs, Shukran!
Yes 20 cm. For a softer biscuit base just add 20 to 30 grams extra butter.
Me and my husband made it we made it with love and ate it was delicious 👌
Hi Fatima, My daughter is learning from you. The dough was too stiff. But I told her nevermind. It is just a crisper base then.
