Yes the knife is a pretty tough cookie, have you tried a whetstone they seem to work well for me!!!! Thank you for watching and please like and subscribe much appreciated! Have great day.
@@CyberBeep_kenshi I believe the old ones were AUS6 steel, and the new ones were upgraded to AUS8 steel. I've heard tell aus8 is better at holding and edge than aus6. The old steel may be even tougher though, toughness and edge holding seem to be a trade off. Aus8 is considered a tough steel also though, and I've heard it doesn't build up stress over time like some steels do
Yes most definitely Lawrence Lou I agree 100% ,I believe the seal pup fits the category , I'd carry this knife with me. Thank you for your interest and please don't forget to Subscribe and like the video this would be much appreciated !!!!!
It would be so much better if they offered it without serrations .....pertect size but useless for regular kitchen outdoor tasks....sucks for food prep and carving etc
At one point they offered them with and without serrations. I just looked at their website and it looks like the regular pup is with serrations only now. You may be able to find an older one. Or look at the seal pup elite, that one is currently offered with a straight edge. You can sometimes find it on sale for about the same price as the regular pup. I recently picked one up for $67
I highly recommend you buy this excellent knife!
Great review!!! Straight forward...

Nice 👍
Had an older version for years. It is a pain to sharpen, as the metal seems a bit too soft (endless burrs). Saw some tests though, it is very tough.
