When the handle looks new and the blade looks used like this… somebody bought ne grips or just faked the use of the knife.

Allow me to give you a hint when you are displaying a knife to show it off. You need to show the spine. You flipped that knife around and you showed it from side to side and the grip and the texture but you did not show how thick the spine was. That is probably one of the most important things in a knife is a good spine next time focus on the spine.

before purchase check the thin flat steel parts, near the pivot pin area, i had one that was cracked,was able to return for a good one..

Has this knife for years! Don’t use it religiously but it works and has lasted almost a decade so far!

SOG says that the pocket clip on this model is reversable, but the safety lock is in the way of the clip resting on the handle if you try to move it to the other side.

I’d have to say this knife is the best bag for your buck (pun intended)! I’ve had mine for a few years, use hunting and at the barn, barely need to sharpen it. I got it on sale at CT for 10 or 20 bucks if I recall, which makes it even more of a deal. Well worth the 45 they ask for. At first I was skeptical about the handle, it’s pretty cheap and appears flimsy, but it’s held up to dirt, grime and hay in there, easy to clean and hasn’t comprised it’s integrity. Great EDC.

My favorite new knew despite being tiny, cheap asf, soft steel lolol

I just bought the last one at the Canadian Tire near my house because it was on sale for $20 but the guard was loose and so was the stacked leather washers. I think I should return it but I did put some lock-tite on it so hopefully that at leat takes care of the guard, the washers should swelll up to compensate for the looseness in time I suppose. I bought it as a companion knife to do some hacking as I walk through the bush and I have my main knife, a handmade Jeo Tec No. 37 to do everything else. We'll see how the BAK does in time. You should do an update on it.

The four layer swiss army knifes are a nice weight for their size the overgrown fat one is the champ that weighs nearly half a pound or 208 grams to be more precise which I consider to be way to heavy for a pocket knife I already own the Evo grip 10 that is basically the same as the Spartan apart from the nail file that replaces the small blade but I am thinking about getting an Evo grip s17 even though they can be problematic in the UK because of the locking blade but can be added to a collection with no problem

looks nice love the blade shape. blk is cool too.i have 1 if the kersaw flipper ,soeed safe its the droppoint with some blue spacers.alwsys firget the name. i like the black colt too the rubber grip and lock blade are nice

It would be so much better if they offered it without serrations .....pertect size but useless for regular kitchen outdoor tasks....sucks for food prep and carving etc

I have this knife and regret not buying a second one while they were still in production. It does not require the thumb stud to open it either. I can flick my wrist to open and lock the blade. Amazing knife.
