Cabin Air Filter Replacement Volkswagen GTI, Alltrack, Golf and Golf R

How to on replacement of the cabin air filter. During the heat of this last summer I noticed a reduction in cooling form my AC. At first I was concerned I may have issues with my AC system. My guy at VW said, start by checking to cabin filter. If dirty replace it. If not be ready to wait a bit to have it looked at as they were very busy. Thankfully it was just a dirty filter. So here is how to replace it on a 2017 VW Golf Alltrack. I ordered a Mann filter from Amazon. Comes with a great set of instructions for doing the swap.

I have a 2017 VW GTI, not the all track, but it's the same glove box, same filter housing. To pull down on the top tabs of the filer housing door, press at the outer edge, closest to you, because there's a little tab above it that's part of the whole housing, not the door.
And, duh, you have to empty the glove box first or everything will fall on the floor.
