This is by far the best video help on this topic! Thank you!
    - Getting the glove compartment open - when you go to open the left catch (do second) the right may click back in.
    - With the filter's black cover's tabs, put a flathead screwdriver underneath your fingertips to save your fingertips. Far easier!!
    - Continuing, first pull on the tab on the right of the cover while you press down on the rightmost top tab. It should pop.
Then do the middle tab and then the left tab. When you put it back, make sure the honeycombed cover side is out.
    - If the arm on the left fall offs, it fits back together easily. Stay calm and look at the shapes. It is simple but fragile.
    pen can be irritating.

Awesome! Took less than five minutes to change. One thing to note is the limiter arm has a washer on the end that attaches to the glovebox so wiggle & pull it gently because the washer will catch on the glovebox after being pushed down. Where the limiter arm attaches up inside the frame, it can fall out of the guide slot. There is a gear wheel inside of that guide slot, so make sure that doesn’t fall out. It is easy enough to guide it back in, but the pieces are small so just be careful.

You don't need to do that step at 0:55 that plastic piece just slides out when you drop the door down. Look at other videos on this topic and you will see how it works. Just push the two things and drop the door down.

I wish I read the comments before trying this. I removed the soft open but now can't get it back in place!

i dropped something in the air vent that's supposed to unfog the windshield. The one at the very back of the dashboard. i assume that vent also leads to this filter? Anyone know if there's another way to get it if it's not in the filter? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm too poor for a screw driver, so I had to rely on my hands. Had to morph my hand function from pleasure into tool function.
By applying pressure towards us to the outside right corner panel, I was able to release the right top clip. Then, by adjusting the pressure towards the middle as I moved towards the left middle clip, I was able to release that one as well. Finally, I was able to release the final clip on top left corner to reveal the goods.
My hands morphed into a technique people often referred to as "prying" or "leveraging," and it can be a useful way to remove parts or panels that are held in place by clips or other fasteners. Just be careful not to apply too much pressure, as you don't want to damage the surrounding material or strip the clips.
