2021 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 CUSTOM REVIEW - Should you buy one?

- The pickup truck wars has changed gear. The Chevrolet Silverado 1500, the Ford F-150, and the Dodge Ram 1500, all under $30,000, have one-upped each other in every way possible. Today I review the 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the Custom trim level. The price tag on this one sits somewhere around $35,000.
The old days of boring and predictable designs for pickup trucks are gone. One look at the exterior of this car and it is immediately evident that the GM design team has been hard at work. With an aggressive (slightly overly designed) front end, material change that help hide its design flaws, and drivability that doesn’t exhaust the driver.
However, the same cannot be said about the interior. GM did not spent much time improving the materials on the inside of the car. It is still the same old cheap plastic and rubber that we have gotten used to over the years. Something I was hoping we will not be seeing in modern pickup trucks.
It drives nicely, has just enough pickup (pun intended) power, handles surprisingly well for its size, and comfortably seats 6 thanks to the center seat. Watch the full video to see if I think YOU should buy this car.

We just purchased the north sky blue. My husband is 6’4 and to see him in it with hella leg room is insane. Always wanted a Silverado 1500 and enjoying the hell out of it!!!!

I have the 2021 Custom 4x4 2.7T with 310hp and 348lbs torque at 1500rpms.. Towing capacity is 9600lbs. It is an amazing vehicle and I've been smiling everyday I got it.

I bought the v-8 5.3 liter, very powerful engine, smooth, you should test drive one you won't be disappointed
Towing capacity from the chevy website is up to 7000lbs roughly 6800lbs to be exact or at least on 4x4. Not 9600lbs that's probably 5.3 liters.
@@304tactical8 Not in 2021. .they upgrade in the 2021 2.7 turbo the tow capacity and payload capacity
@@kelvinygenesissotomayor3582 I understand what you’re saying and I saw the data that in 2021 they did increase the towing capacity to 9600 pounds but you kind of make the statement that they upgraded the motor is still the same horsepower and torque if you put a 2020 truck beside a 2021 truck with the 2.7 L it is still the exact same truck I see no upgrades that Chevrolet has done whatsoever I would be leery and pushing the towing capacity from 6800 pounds to 9600 pounds

People who have these newer GM 4 cylinder turbo engines say they have no issue at all & they've been out for a few years. So far so good.
Lol those engines dont really have problems people just dont know how to take care of them!

@@joeshmoe8952 if you want 1 get it! That motor will last if you take care of it but chevrolet is just to expensive for me so i went with a used ford f150 stx got it for 32k with only 54k miles
@@ms1406 I was considering a new base model tacoma which is around $28k sticker price but these new silverados are more roomy, tow more and have more horsepower, only thing is they are close to $40k. I live close to the largest dealership in the world “Longo Toyota” and they have tacomas all day, especially the i4 models since everyone wants the V6 model but I guess I can check with my credit union and what kind of rate I can get since rates went up on car loans.
@@joeshmoe8952i had a 2020 ranger n it was too uncomfortable so i traded it in on the f150 n love it way more because of the size. I think you should go with the silverado because it seems like thats wat you truly want! Always make sure you get wat u want because if u dnt u wont be satisfied! Go big bro

Just picked this up and I'm 6'9 I got the seat all the way back. I jumped in the seat behind it and still had plenty room
The more I research and watch POV drives of the 1500..the more I want one. I currently have an 06 Toyota Tacoma (2.7L 4 cylinder) which I am pretty happy with & have upgraded her with tires, rims, paint, you name it. So I am in between this Chevy and a newer Tacoma…thoughts?
I have a 2022 custom and was at the dealer trying to trade it in for a new tacoma and the difference i noticed right away confort and power so i still own my Silverado after test driving others lol

This thing puts out more hp and torque than most V8s from 15 years ago, hauls almost 10k lbs and yet it’s not good enough for ya. LMFAO

I have a 24 and it is literally my weekend truck so i didn’t see the need for all the bells and whistles, I did that route and it was a waste of money

As a silver type one that's the same replica it is a Chevy 20 21 it is on 24's with blue underglow and a procharger
