Just got mine done 3 hours ago. The pain is temporary, but not dealing with the pregnancy scares or actually having more children will definitely be worth it.
You also get saved from women who may try to baby trap you. I want to so vasectomy without my girlfriend knowing because I snes es he wants kids but I don’t
I got mine done a week ago today. I’m still having some pain and swelling issues but that is my fault because I didn’t rest as much as I needed to but it’s only temporary. I have kids currently going through a divorce and I decided that I want to take the possibility of having kids off the table for any future relationships. If I meet somebody in the future that has kids cool I’ll treat them like my own but I do not want to be financially responsible for any more kids. I knew that if I did not get this done that I will eventually have more children that I will be financially responsible for. From my experience kids changes women for the worst. I might experience in the past showed me that those women wanted me just to have children with me once they got them they were done with me. I want a woman that wants me for who I am in doing that I had to take children out of the equation.

@@MyREDTAIL I'm absolutely confused about a vasectomy. When you ejaculate, do you ejaculate only semen and no sperm? Or how does it work? If you ejaculate as normal (sperm being present), doesn't it increase risk of pregnancy? Or does a vasectomy make your sperm "infertile" so to speak?

Hey guys I'm 34 years old and I had my vasectomy five days ago! I'm still healing. Overall it was pretty great. You go into the operating room, you remove your pants and underwear and lay face up on a hospital bed. Then nurses prepare you for a few minutes and the doctor walks in. He checks your balls then pokes them with a needle. The needle hurts like hell for about 3 seconds, but then you're completely numb and you don't feel a thing. The doctor does his thing for about 15 minutes and then you're good to go. I was awake the entire time and I didn't feel anything. Five days after and my balls are doing fine. I have one small bruise on each side of my sack, but it's totally healthy and normal. I can can see the incisions and they're tiny, still healing. From the moment I checked in with the front desk until the moment I walked out the room the entire event lasted only 30 minutes or so. I'm glad I did it
@sylenceexposed Your testicles will not be wrapped. They will put some gauze on it though, no big deal. Walking is uncomfortable for the first two days, but then it's fine after that. There really weren't any stiches. No need to worry about that. You can barely even see the cut they make. It's been a little over three months since my surgery and I feel great. I'm busting nuts, going jogging, not a problem. All healed.
That’s awesome! Thanks, Doc! I’m turning 38 next month and still never ever want kids - EVER! I have complex PTSD and simply couldn’t handle the stress. Plus, I like having all my time to myself and like my own company, so I don’t need to get married either.
I am in my sixties now. Have no children by choice. Got my vasectomy when I was forty. My only regret?........ That I didn't do it sooner. So much more peace of mind since then and enjoy sex so much more.
@therealistghost I am sincerely sorry you are having a bad experience after your vasectomy. My experience has been different, in a positive way. I got my vasectomy when I was 40 and am now in my sixties. I really have not kept count of women that I've been intimate with, but I can tell you that my sex life has not suffered from having a vasectomy. Quite the opposite as now the concern of having an unwanted pregnancy is off the table. I feel much more relaxed, at ease mentally, and the experience has been improved and enhanced due to not worrying about unintentionally getting the woman pregnant. There is less stress, and I don’t have to take the woman’s word for it that she is taking preventative measures. I’ve already taken care of it on my end. Getting a vasectomy is obviously not for everyone. My entire life I’ve never wanted to have children. When I hit forty, I felt I wasn’t going to change my mind about it at that point and went ahead and made it permanent and have never regretted making that decision. My only regret is that I didn’t get one sooner.
Had mine done 13 years ago. No pain during or after the procedure. Didn’t even need the prescription. I highly recommend if you know you don’t want/don’t want anymore kids.
After 4 kids together (had 2 of each) we never looked back after the vasectomy- sex life was well and truly rekindled without the worry of ever getting pregnant again.
I got mine done over a month ago now, and I feel exactly the same as I did before. Everything feels the same too. No difference. Very happy I got it done.
Great talk. Thanks a lot. Although, one thing I'd point out is that not all men get vasectomies are doing so "post fatherhood." Many of us are doing it to prevent that exact occurrence.🤣

@Spartacus Kinda hard to explain but the sperm and semen are created in separate parts of the body the sperm is made in the testicles and transported to where the semen is made. In a vasectomy they cut the tube that transports the sperm to the semen

So there is an increased risk of cancer? FYI, I had mine 3 weeks ago, bad outcome, ER 2 times major complications. Please take your time and research your doctor. Major regrets here at the 3 week mark.
I had my vasectomy in 2020 with no problems. It is best way to prevent having more kids. I have had a total of 6 kids. It is safer for a man to have a vasectomy than for a woman to be put under to have her tubes tied. She has a higher risk of blood clots and other problems. So as the good doctor said man up and get a vasectomy.
Persistent testicular pain (PVPS) is the most frequent vasectomy complication that can adversely affect quality of life. Because of this, it should be included in the vasectomy consent process. Due to a lack of prospective data and differing definitions for post-vasectomy pain, consensus on incidence has not been reached. In available studies, a wide range of incidence from 14-33% is reported for any testicular pain after vasectomy. A smaller group of patients, 1-5%, have severe pain that affects quality of life or sexual function. A conservative estimate for chronic PVPS of 1-5% of vasectomized men may be warranted based on available data, but the overall incidence may be higher.
I got a vasectomy 6 years ago and all of the sudden I noticed symptoms of low testosterone so I got tested and sure enough 188 ng which is very low, started doing research and reading what doctors from other countries had to say about vasectomy’s and most of them say that vasectomy’s do cause low testosterone along with a host of other problems. I can’t believe that my American doctor who was making money from my vasectomy lied about the safety of them.🙄
The Vas Deferens, which is what is cut during a vasectomy, has no effect on testosterone production or transportation. Properly done vasectomies have no effect on testosterone. You're familiar with the saying "correlation does not equal causation"? The fact that you noticed your low testosterone at around the same time as your vasectomy is likely a coincidence.
@@Alan-jk1yi Consistently having pain after a vasectomy in and around your testicles can cause your testicles to not work properly which can then affect what they do and one of the things they do is produce testosterone and I think 4 other hormones which are used for other hormones in the body. So yes vasectomies can cause testosterone issues and a lot of other problems as well. If you do any research on post vasectomy pain you will see that this is a common problem (low testosterone post vasectomy) and men that don't have a problem dismiss it just like you have here. Vasectomies can be a very very dangerous thing for men.
@@robertprevost84 I did do my research. And in fact, I just Googled that exact phrase you told me to, "low testosterone post vasectomy", and found no articles supporting your argument. Only articles such as a 2018 study which found no difference in testosterone levels between 485 men who had a vasectomy, and 2400 who did not. Also, I didn't look into the pain affecting function question, but even assuming that to be true for the sake of argument, the (usually mild) pain is temporary, usually no more than a week or two.
@@Alan-jk1yi I am not talking about looking at studies that take 2 seconds to look at (and it isn't research when you google something and take 10 minutes to read two articles on it which most people only read one and don't look any further because that takes effort) and are done by the same doctors who are telling men that vasectomy's are perfectly safe. Get a different perspective by speaking with men that have actually had a problem with a vasectomy and multiple men to get a good handle and idea about what is actually happening instead of just listening to and reading doctors reports. They are all copy and paste anyway. I am talking about speaking with men from all over the world (taking months and months to weed through vasectomy results with patients who are having real life problems with their vasectomies) that have had a vasectomy and have post vasectomy pain and how many of them have low testosterone now and some of them even have had their testosterone tested before the vasectomy and after and guess what!!! Their testosterone is much much lower post vasectomy. Not to mention who knows about the other hormones produced by the testicles which most people don't even know the testicles produce more than just testosterone. I have yet to hear a doctor mention other hormones that the testicles produce and their importance. I know most men don't have issues with a vasectomy, the problem is when you do it destroys a perfectly healthy male's life. And even for the men that are "healthy" after their vasectomy, doesn't mean they are in the clear you can have problems 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 years or more later and the doctors at that point are going to argue with you about what caused it because most doctors will argue right after the vasectomy is done that it wasn't the vasectomy that was causing any of your health issues. I have heard that story WAAAAAAY TOOOOO many times from men that have a ton of post vasectomy pain problems. I know they are post vasectomy pain problems because a lot of them correlate with other men all over the world. I know this because I have spoken with men all over the world and wives too that represent their husbands because their husbands are too embarrassed to post anything online about their problems. Also most men don't have any idea about what the pelvic floor muscles are let alone what it does and what it affects for muscles, joints, fascia connections that lead to other muscles, joints, and fascia connections in the body and how far up and down the body out of the pelvis these muscles, joints, and fascia connections can be affected. If you are not in tune with your body which most men in general aren't (most humans aren't because they are not educated enough on these things and they think that the doctors know all and just listen to the doctors but that is very very wrong) you wouldn't even know that you have a tight pelvic floor. You may feel some tension down there but would probably ignore it unless it caused a major issue. Then over time you notice your knees, hips, back, neck, etc... are sore but because you don't know how a pelvic floor can affect your whole body you don't even realize the vasectomy caused a tight pelvic floor which caused these other issues in your body. These other issues in your body may not show up for a length of time because it takes a while for the pelvic floor to affect muscles in the body enough to start causing musculoskeletal disorders. The muscles, ligaments, tendons, and fascia connections all have to become fatigued to the point where either pain starts or a joint starts to become affected, this can take time, and sometimes lengthy amounts of time especially for someone that is healthy and active that is constantly building and using their muscles. There are also 4 major nerves that come out of the scrotum that also affect muscle functions in the lower back, groin, and then out to the rest of the body potentially from there. Look up the genitofemoral, pudendal, ilioinguinal, and iliohypogastric nerves and the psoas muscle for starters. After you "research" that, look up entrapment of these nerves which can happen very easily when a vasectomy is performed especially when you have clips involved which a lot of doctors use clips even if the vas is cut. When these nerves become entrapped it wreaks havoc on a man's body. Also you are very wrong about pain in the testicles. Men that have post vasectomy pain and struggle with testicle pain for 1, 3, 7, 10, 20 plus years are the guys I am talking about that have testicle pain and can have testosterone issues because the testicles are in chronic pain (just for argument sake since you know so much about this topic...). Think about any other organ in your body, if it is in chronic pain or chronically inflamed there is a good chance it isn't functioning properly. One of the functions of the testicles is to produce testosterone so using commons sense applied through very basic human anatomy you can come to the conclusion that, yes, if there is chronic pain in the testicles then the testosterone of a man might be affected. You can also end up with testicle torsion after a vasectomy as well which can lead to you losing your testicle if you don't know what is going on. Happens more in adolescent men when they are in puberty, normally, but it for sure happens in vasectomized men too especially men with PVP. You have to read between the lines a lot in life and vasectomies are one of these things. You can't just go trusting the doctors on this one or a lot of other things either (the medical industry is like any other industry it is based on MONEY which dictates what happens and sometimes your health becomes unimportant when enough MONEY is to be made). I have spoken with a lot of other men out there that have had their lives ruined and can't get help who have trusted doctors with vasectomies. I will end it there. I could tell you a whole lot more about problems with vasectomies but I don't even know if you would take the time to ingest half of what I wrote here. There is a lot more information than what I have typed out if you read between the lines. Have a great life. HAPPY TESTICLES!!!
@@robertprevost84 I literally looked up exactly what you told me to look up, and when the results did not support your argument, you essentially flipped and said "well THAT evidence sucks". If, when I bring up actual concrete evidence, you are simply going to dismiss it out of hand, then there is no reasonable discussion to be had. You also provided no evidence for your claim that that pain causes the testicles to stop producing hormones. It's not impossible, but again, you provided no evidence, and instead basically just threw all medical evidence out the window, rendering the question impossible to resolve. I have no doubt that a small percentage of men do suffer significant side effects from their vasectomy. PVP is more common than I had initially thought (although, that's scientific medical data, which I'm not allowed to use apparently), but stories on the internet do not equate to definitive evidence. Just because someone , or even multiple someones tell us that they were diagnosed with low testosterone after a vasectomy does not mean that one caused the other. That's what large scale studies are designed to tell us. But again, if you're throwing those out because "doctors bad", then no amount of evidence will ever convince you.

@@ivanthelion2829 3days. Here in canada my doc said to do it on Friday. That way i rest 3days. But still dont do any heavy exercise for 1 week. Or simply do it during your vacation
The ANTICIPATION is the worst part of the ENTIRE PROCESS. I just got mine done about 12 days ago I never actually saw the process until I watched a video today and I was like...THEY DID WHAT TO ME?!!!! lol. Made me SOOO glad I didn't watch the video before hand because TRULY I felt virtually NOTHING during it. The only discomfort I felt, which they can't really prevent, takes place for about 3-5 seconds on each side. When they clamp the Vons the Doctor said....it might feel like you got slightly kicked there for few seconds. I asked why later and he said it's because the Vons extends kinda up through your body body so only the lower section is numb for the slight pinch they do for 3 or so seconds. Other than than those few seconds the only thing let you know there is someone on the other side of this table that are playing with my junk somehow lol. Recovery can be so easy, but I think made hard by a lot men. I mean you are suppose to wear a jock for a week or so. Takes pressure off from hanging and the weight of your sack pulling down, swinging around, etc. If you want to move around a bit it's not the most difficult thing at all...which is the problem. Men will say "I feel fine" and start doing stuff when what you need to do is really just lay on your back, be very lazy for 24-48 hours and just ice them. By the end of the week I was still cautious because if you rubbed or squeezed them in the wrong way you could feel some tenderness that might be very similar to what you would may feel after having one of those amazing sex sessions with your girl and you feel like you went a bit harder than usual (only way I could think to describe it lol). That slight tenderness you feel for a day or two in that circustance...is what you will feel like at about the end of week one. The other thing that blew my mind was that I was expecting some type of big scares down there. When I first took off the gauze to look at it...it literally looked like I had just popped two small pimples. That is how small the incisions were. By the end of week one, without touching it, was almost difficult to just visually spot the incision area on side. That part actually blew my mind. Again...THE ANTICIPATION IS THE WORST FREAKN' PART OF THE ENTIRE THING. I can't stress that enough!!!! I remember when the doctor said..."Ok we are done with this side" before moving to other I was like "WHAT?!!!" I didn't even know you made the full incision yet, much less was DONE lol. I literally felt more pain watching the video on youtube AFTER I had my procedure done than I felt when having it LOL Men....if you don't ever want to have any more kids...this quick 30 minute, in and out, procedure is SOOOO worth it. Not to mention I love that stats compared to the standard forms of birth control, using them properly, give you a 3/100 chances of failing. A vasectomy gives you a 3/1000 chance of failure.

Some people think it is good, some talk about autoimmune issues and the sperm apparently being rejected by the body. I am not sure, I do think there should be medical studies to really study all the pros and cons and frequency of both. It seems to be an unclear answer.
I have read into Vasectomy's fairly well. Hopefully im correct about what im saying. Sperm retention is not the same, to be honest it isn't even exactly possible. Excess sperm cells travel out the urethra in urine all the time. Once the Vas is cut though, they have no where to go and build up. Pressure, vessel distention and inflammation is the result. The body has to constantly attack and destroy the sperm cells. So the system is constantly inflamed. A person develops Anti-sperm antibodies once the immune system makes contact with the sperm cells. The body has a teste/blood barrier to stop the two meeting, as the immune system see's it as a foreign material. That's one reason reversal is so difficult as the lumen of Vas is tiny compared to its circumference. That gives a large wall to separate the sperm from your immune system. Other Immuno-complexes are also elevated post Vasectomy. As someone else said. Auto-immune diseases 2nd to Vasectomy has been a concern in medical science. Thus far though there is no statistically significant evidence that the rises in these specific immune levels has a -ve effect on morbidity ( health / disease ) There is a +ve correlation between Vasectomy and Prostate cancer ( its very tiny though ) and its only correlation not causation. Another paper concluded dementia was increased in Vasectamised men. The thought was it was to do with anti-sperm antibodies. This was retested by another group later on and the results were not the same. The 2nd paper states there is no link. Chronic pain is the only proven +ve correlation and causation for vasectomy. " Post Vasectomy Pain Syndrome " 3% end up with chronic testicular pain of varying levels. Minor to major. Some need to have reversals, cord denervation or Epididyotomys to try and stop the pain. In very rare and extreme cases the testicles need to be removed trying to get pain free. Overall, i would be wary. I don't think there would be any positives other than sterility and quite possibly some negatives. th
Yeah chances of that happening is there. And when it happens gosh it’s hell. There is a significant percentage of vasectomy victims with pvps (Post Vasectomy Pain Syndrome please search online) and those are the ones seeing the effects and complications. The problem is the urology community does not have a solution for this percentage of men. Say there is 90% of chance that it will go all ok but 10% that it won’t. If you fall into the 10% urologists can’t fix you!! So the odds are pretty bad here. The problem is the urologist community cannot know about the patient and the chances and odds of the patient falling into 90% or 10%. They won’t check this: as they say to you it’s a very simple and quick procedure. Fast money maker!!

Since so many men do the procedure, then the data should be available to definitively compare the rate of cancer in that population to the rate of cancer in the general population. Why then was the answer to the question of cancer muddled with 'we've not seen' and 'we don't have the data'?
Because it is a business. Doctors make a lot of money from vasectomies. I had one 3 years ago and i regret it. I think my case is rare, and I already had delayed ejaculation prior to the procedure, afterwards it takes me even longer to reach climax sometimes I don't and my sex drive had decreased. I will admit it was not super high to begin with, but afterwards it was even lower. Most men after about 5-7 days without ejaculating will experience a greater volume of ejaculate. In my case after 7 days its about the same as 2-3 days. Also for me i don't get the sensation or build up of the sperm preparing to travel from your testicles up to the point of exit. Now the only sensation comes from the semen ejaculation and the build up is about 15-20 seconds prior to climax where as before the build up could be any where from a 1-5 min like where you knew you were going to be able to climax. Now i never know if I will be able to or not. Not trying to scare anyone off from it, but that was my experience. He said sperm only makes up 1 percent, but other studies show up to 10 percent. If you have 100 and someone takes 10 it might not break you, but you will notice. Hope this helps.
I got mine back in 1985 when I was in my 20s. No regrets and that weeded out any ladies who's future plans included having kids which I didn't want to be tied down with. I wouldn't make a good parent.
No, it is still present to a lesser extent. Nine moth's post vasectomy now. I have always suffered a lot from the scars (palpable as two nodules) along my vas deferens. I still feel unpleasant sensations during almost everything I do in everyday life. My vas deferens must have been very well supplied with nerves.
I got mine done in January. I was only uncomfortable for like 3 days, then the pain turned into a mild annoyance that could be avoided with taking it easy. On day 10 my wife and I had sex (with a condom) and I had zero pain. Fast forward, the only lasting anomaly is that when I go on long runs (or if I’m walking a lot outside in the summer months) I have to wear briefs now. I can’t run in boxers anymore because I will chafe something serious. Same goes for mowing the lawn. I guess my stuff hangs a little lower now and it rubs on my legs with boxers.
I got my vasectomy when I was forty and I am my sixties now and didn't have that situation. I actually feel more comfortable wearing boxers. I guess everyone's experience is unique to them. I do have a problem when I sit on "some" public toilets. Particularly the ones in hotel rooms for some reason, but I think that's just do to the natural length of my pecker and has nothing to do with the vasectomy.
Be careful, gents. I had one 29 years ago and it has been 29 years of testicular pain. During the procedure, the pain got so bad it made me pass out cold. When I came to, they had my shirt open and would not tell me what had happened. When I asked the nurses, they said they couldn't say; they told me to ask the doctor. Afterwards, the pain in my left nut started immediately and did not decrease for around 5 years. When I confronted my doctor, he said the pain was in my head. He then walked out of the room and would not talk to me again. Since then, any time I ride a bike too long, work out too hard, lift weights, or just play too hard, the pain comes back. Sometimes it is bad enough to make me feel nautious. It definitely reduced my sex drive and sex was never the same, NEVER. This ruined not just my sex life but my overall life and marriage.
@@anonymizer400 It's not supposed to hurt at all during the procedure. They screwed up something and didn't want to take responsibility for it. That doesn't mean that you need to strike fear in those who are anticipating the procedure.
Man, I am really sorry about your experience. I refused a prostate biopsy a few years back. The doc transferred me to an MRT and got a pi-rads score that was perfect. No problems. And MRT are more accurate at detection of cancer than biopsies. After the MRT successful results he still wanted to do a biopsy. What for? The tissue you cut out 12 times is only on one side of the prostate. What about the other side and maybe you don't collect the right tissue. He does the Ultrasound and finger test and he says everything feels fine. They only wanted a biopsy because the PSA levels were around 6-7. I was also eating a lot of sugar and drinking a lot. I am not at all overweight. But I was having problems peeing sometimes. But something changed after I quit drinking, went low carb high fat, keto, and carnivore. No more pasta or bread and the stiffness in my elbows went away and I was able to pee like a young man. I think diet is a direct link to recovery from operations and hard work. I wonder if some of the people who had vasectomies had poor diets, or abused 🍸.
I got mines done about two years ago, I been having sustain an erection after my vasectomy. I can’t stay hard no more. Before I got the vasectomy I could last longer. What’s the problem?
Definitely see a Urologist. My Vasectomy caused some nerve damage. It didn't cause ED but i guess its possible. For me , now i ejaculate without actually orgasming. I tend to orgasm after, its weird, but shit definitely got fucked up from the vasectomy. Did you start any other meds? Anti-depressants SSRI's or BP meds like beta blockers can have -ve effects. You could try Viagra maybe? I wish you all the best.
Jerome Evans I had mine Done 19yrs ago. The Pressure and Pain have Never Gone Away. With time some Guys Do experienced thicker fluids. Only way to find relief is a Reversal. I am Heading to the Philippines have it Reverse. I Found a Micro Surgeon At St. Luke’s Manila. The Cost Around 4K USD. Compared to have in it Done in the states 10K USD. Now that I have time, money, like to travel. I am Planning a Trip There. Best of Luck.
@@rafaelcastillo2636 Good luck. I had a reversal for PVPS. I am roughly 80% better. Your testicles will sit much higher post op. As you can imagine the Vas is shorter now than it was meant to be. Its not a bad thing but its noticeable. My pain has gone, in the sense that i don't hurt 24/7 anymore but it still hurts if i get touched there. More like a negative hypersensitivity, that never left. So sports still suck :( Also , i used to have extreme pain on ejaculation. That has left 100% which is great. 3 weeks recovery is what i would advise you to expect. Get Nsaids and opiates , it fucking hurts. 4k is good. Mine was $10k I wish you the very best of luck . God bless :)
Myth 1 is not a myth. The amount of ejaculate I had was noticeably less after my vasectomy. How do I know? When I got a reversal due to not being able to work due to chronic stabbing pain in my left groin the amount, the force and the color of my ejaculate was noticeably different. There was more, the force was greater and it was whiter. Myth number 2 IS a myth but it's also part of the problem. You do keep creating sperm. 3 years after my vasectomy the back of my right testicle blew up to 10 times it's normal size and hurt like hell. It is not uncommon for men that get vasectomies to get epididymitis. If you don't know what epididymitis is google it. It's not fun. Myth 3 is not a myth because no one believes that anyway. It's also partially untrue. If a woman has a C-section it IS easier at that time for a woman to have her tubes tied because the doctors are already have her abdomen/womb opened. Based on my experience with vasectomy I am very against tubal ligation and surgical sterilization in general. Women can develop health problems from tubal ligation as well painful periods, cramping, pelvic/abdominal pain etc.. No one thinks that way otherwise, that it's easier for women, so this is just noise/a false argument. No one thinks that. Myth 4 is probably a myth. I don't think there is strong, incontrovertible evidence of cancer. Again this is kind of a non-issue/noise and I'm not sure why this guy brought it up because it's not really the main problem with the operation. Myth 5 is probably a myth. I can only speak from my experience. I have the T levels of an 85 year old now and almost no libido. I am at around 360 total T at 51. I was at 465 just after my reversal and I don't know what I was 10 years ago when I got my vasectomy. I don't smoke and swim about a mile 2-3 times a week and am only about 5lbs overweight so it's not like I'm unhealthy. The one thing this doctor does not mention is the statistics on chronic pain after vasectomy. He talks about things that are really not big issues which is typical. If you want to know what the incidence of chronic pain, pain lasting longer than 3 months and sometimes permanent please google the American Urological Association guidelines on informed consent for vasectomy. Also google the Canadian Urological Association guidelines on informed consent vasectomy. Then go to the NHS website and look at the information about complications from vasectomy. You will see three sets of numbers. The AUA has it at 1-2% or 1 in 50 at worst. The CUA has it at 1-5% or 1 in 20 at worst. The NSH website just says 1 in 10. You only get one body and one life. If vasectomy works out for you that's great. Just get armed with the facts about what is probably the most important complication, chronic pain, so you will not have any regrets afterwards if you have a bad outcome. Also, if you are considering vasectomy and your provider says the odds are 1 in 1000 or less, find another provider.
Moharak, Thank you for sharing your experience. This information is invaluable. I know someone who had the procedure 2 years ago this month, and they said they have had no pain, nor complications whatsoever. I hope they don't have any going forward. I hope all is well with your health. Once again, thank you for your intel.
Hi moharak, would you mind sharing your timeline? What year/month did you get the vaesctomy? When was the reversal? I track PVPS stories and am creating an index here: www.reddit.com/r/postvasectomypain
I'm thinking about going with this procedure down the road. I have no desire for having children and I do not want to bring any into this world. That, and we are overpopulated.
Omg you hit the nail! I don't even have a partner yet and i already plan to get him one in the future since i don't want to take any birth control. Too risky for my body. And if my partner refuse to use a condom I will make him get vasectomy. Anyway about your question. How about offer him something like more sex after vasectomy? It is better right rather than threat him with no sex or worse a separation?
listen from a guy i personally will get a vasectomy when i am at legal age because i have prader willi syndrome and in men if i have children they will have a 50 percent chance but that's a hole topic on it's own but of you're young like let's say 20's to early 40's then let the guy choose because if you break up and he wants kids then who are you to make that choice and if they weren't planning on one and if you started pressuring them that vary well may tear you relationship apart and for what and idk you but i will go out on a limb and say if you are the type to pressure someone into such a life altering thing you are probably a bitch now if he wanted you to get one i would understand that. like i said idk you or you're position so i can't say definitely one way or the other
@@ird4489 That's a fucked up position. You know that its not risk free? it comes with a 2% chance of lifelong , possibly irreversible pain. The best option being reversal and that's $10,000 dollars. It also has a higher correlation of prostate cancer, they cant say its causation but studies still show a higher incidence of prostate cancer in vasectomised males. Enjoy your fantasy future relationship with a man without feelings.
My dad had one after my birth (mom told him to never tell me) and..... his brain COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN HIS LIBIDO PRODUCTION!!! (NOT kidding NOT making this up this really happened) that said.... he actually quite likes it!!!! The full extent of his sexual capabilities is that he still loves my mom and that is all he needs.... If he sees something that most men would find attractive or arousing he just finds it so absurdly ridiculous that he has to fight back laugher with every fiber of his being!!! I honestly envy him because he has had zero health impacts of this AND has zero distraction from attractive women.... 😔
Myth: vasectomies are safe, simple and complications are rare. Fact: About 1 in 10 vasectomies result in permanent chronic pain, ranging from inconvenient to unbearable. Other complications include the formation of painful sperm granuloma in the scrotum, epididymal ruptures, large swelling of the testes and/or scrotum and an autoimmune response to sperm in the bloodstream. Some studies do also suggest an increased risk of prostate cancer. Many men now dealing with the above were never warned of these risks when they went in for their 'snip'.
Epididymitis infection really sucks. Had it twice now bad enough to need medical attention. Main reason for discouraging the procedure. Pain is bad. 18 years since procedure and got infection again. Not what I need at 60.
Look, overall the staff at the clinic were very friendly and professional. Afyer the procedure is a little uncomfortable but not painful. Just have to take it easy for a few days.
Myth No 6: Vasectomy is pain free. You forgot to mention the 15 per cent of men who suffer post vasectomy pain, sometimes debilitating, I had pain for months afterwards and if I had know the facts would not have gone ahead.
Myth #3 is the most important when making this decision with your partner. From what I understand, not only is tubal ligation a more involved procedure, the recovery is also way worse…

How it'd go?
Persistent testicular pain (PVPS) is the most frequent vasectomy complication that can adversely affect quality of life. Because of this, it should be included in the vasectomy consent process. Due to a lack of prospective data and differing definitions for post-vasectomy pain, consensus on incidence has not been reached. In available studies, a wide range of incidence from 14-33% is reported for any testicular pain after vasectomy. A smaller group of patients, 1-5%, have severe pain that affects quality of life or sexual function. A conservative estimate for chronic PVPS of 1-5% of vasectomized men may be warranted based on available data, but the overall incidence may be higher.
chat gpt lol
Anytime someone says man up to do something it’s wrong. If you get a vasectomy do it only for yourself period.... I
I had it done yesterday iam terrified of needles especially down near the baby maker. It is uncomfortable while having it done, you dont feel pain just the sensation of touch, within 15 to 20 min it was done. Best video I've come across. Thank you for the info.
Haha come across.
I literally felt more pain watching the video on youtube AFTER I had my procedure done than I felt when having it LOL
Men....if you don't ever want to have any more kids...this quick 30 minute, in and out, procedure is SOOOO worth it. Not to mention I love that stats compared to the standard forms of birth control, using them properly, give you a 3/100 chances of failing. A vasectomy gives you a 3/1000 chance of failure.
Can you ever reverse it?

So if sperm retention is suppose to be good for your body, then a vasectomy should be the golden ticket , what our your thoughts , please tell 🙏🏾
Interesting point maybe this is why iv woke up
Some people think it is good, some talk about autoimmune issues and the sperm apparently being rejected by the body. I am not sure, I do think there should be medical studies to really study all the pros and cons and frequency of both. It seems to be an unclear answer.
I have the same question, wonder if you found the answer.
Thus far though there is no statistically significant evidence that the rises in these specific immune levels has a -ve effect on morbidity ( health / disease )
There is a +ve correlation between Vasectomy and Prostate cancer ( its very tiny though ) and its only correlation not causation.
" Post Vasectomy Pain Syndrome "
3% end up with chronic testicular pain of varying levels.
Do doctors prescribe any pain medication afterwards?

Had mine done about 6 months ago no pain but sometimes the epididymous gets a little swollen for some reason but no pain other than that all good
What about now
Since so many men do the procedure, then the data should be available to definitively compare the rate of cancer in that population to the rate of cancer in the general population.

My brother had one and has zero complaints. Stop reading the comments, it's just a bunch of fear mongering idiots, probably women.

Why wd women say that
you're the man Doc.!

Great job!
I'm thinking about going with this procedure down the road. I have no desire for having children and I do not want to bring any into this world. That, and we are overpopulated.
No we are not overpopulated dumas.
Yes, we are overpopulated.
Everyday going to work I see so much trash around.
I don't see how we can sustain 20 billion people when we get there.
@@linkuriboh471 Proud of you man. I'm on the same path. This bloodline ends with me.
i love you jesse
Next video: "how to convince your partner to get a vasectomy"
Omg you hit the nail! I don't even have a partner yet and i already plan to get him one in the future since i don't want to take any birth control. Too risky for my body. And if my partner refuse to use a condom I will make him get vasectomy. Anyway about your question. How about offer him something like more sex after vasectomy? It is better right rather than threat him with no sex or worse a separation?
@@ird4489 you need some help
Do you guys have kids? If not then dont do it. Because if you want kids later, you can get from other man. But he wont have any choice.
listen from a guy i personally will get a vasectomy when i am at legal age because i have prader willi syndrome and in men if i have children they will have a 50 percent chance but that's a hole topic on it's own but of you're young like let's say 20's to early 40's then let the guy choose because if you break up and he wants kids then who are you to make that choice and if they weren't planning on one and if you started pressuring them that vary well may tear you relationship apart and for what and idk you but i will go out on a limb and say if you are the type to pressure someone into such a life altering thing you are probably a bitch now if he wanted you to get one i would understand that. like i said idk you or you're position so i can't say definitely one way or the other
@@ird4489 That's a fucked up position.
Great video Thank you!
My dad had one after my birth (mom told him to never tell me) and..... his brain COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN HIS LIBIDO PRODUCTION!!! (NOT kidding NOT making this up this really happened)
that said.... he actually quite likes it!!!!
You forgot to mention the 15 per cent of men who suffer post vasectomy pain, sometimes debilitating, I had pain for months afterwards and if I had know the facts would not have gone ahead.
did the pain go away?
Yeah did the pain go away?
Please I need to know!
@@Rexxthespecialist yes the pain went away event
eventually, though not everyone is so lucky. I used yarrow tea. Which I think helped.
Myth #3 is the most important when making this decision with your partner. From what I understand, not only is tubal ligation a more involved procedure, the recovery is also way worse…
I'm getting mine tomorrow and I'm gonna be honest.. im beyond nervous... I already have 2 kids and I'm done
Did you ever get it done and how are you feeling?
Going in at 2PM today chose not to do the consultation this vid helped with a few questions I had. Keep up the good work.
You've done vastecomy
