Had tickets to see them back in 2020 but obviously cancelled cuz of Covid and their mental health but I don’t go a day without praying they can get back to it and tour again most underrated band of the 2000s and top of the live bucket list!!
I saw them 3 times in 2019 (3 times pre hiatus) and had tix to 2 of the cancelled shows as well. Really hope we haven’t seen the last of them. One of my favourite bands and live probably only one band I rate higher.
Wow!!!! just found this. God knows why it taken me so long this has always been one of my favourite bands. They are simply brilliant and always have been. .I`m 63 and got the head phones on, they always get me on my feet.
Tonight I heard “Catch the Sun” in the restroom of a bar and I was transported in time. All of the comments about Doves being criminally underrated are spot on. I can’t sleep for going down this rabbit hole that is their genius. Thank you!
20 years i ve been listening the doves, and i sometimes forget, but always come back to it with smile, nostalgia and happiness A gem underrated, so a wonderful gem
Most underrated band ever! After many years, I still consider these songs as a "go to" especially when I am driving by myself and I want to crank the music up LOUD!
I stumbled on these guys during a free concert series in Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park. First time I’d heard them. So good. Lucky to see them once more in the States.
I will have Doves played at my funeral. No one will know why except my wife, who loaned me Lost Souls a week after we first met. The band I always go back to. Just regret not being at this gig as I think their performance was awesome.
I really have to thank my brother for introducing me to Doves back when Kingdom of Rust came out. Without a doubt my favorite band and I would absolutely kill to see them live
"Back then" always seems better than the present day in our memories, and in the future we'll remember the present day much more fondly than we do now. So just enjoy the moment, reminisce from time to time but don't compare or get too nostalgic.
@@bluebellaza4028 www.google.com/amp/s/www.stereogum.com/2035373/doves-prepping-really-fucking-good-reunion-album/news%3famp=1 Doves are prepping a reunion album that they say is going to be "really fucking good" and that's their own words.
Watching The Cedar Room almost makes my heart stop. It's like I'm back in 2003 and I'm hearing this as a 9 year old for the first time again. Then I remember it's 2022 and I wonder what went wrong in those 19 years.
God I love this band, I've discovered it in a football video with "Black and white town", they have so many tunes that sound like instant classics, that's insane nobody know them.
I live next door to Jimi Godwin’s brother and he’s the most down to earth, top, and class guy ever. If the same is to be said about Jimi then it takes this band from my home town to a whole different dimension as they not only are they top musicians but top lads as well
The first time i heard of them i was 15 it was through a Skate video called DVS SKATE MORE it came out in 2005. They used Pounding on Mike Taylors session. After that I went to Tower Of Records to buy The Last Broadcast CD, Tower Of Records was the only place that had Doves albums, they had Some Cities and Lost Souls as well but i was only getting acquainted with them. Good times
Can’t wait for these heaton park with Noel Gallagher more you listen to them you realise there’s a really good band with so many classics yes doves glad your back

I only discovered the doves about a year ago. Very refreshing. They have a sound that I like. I’ve been playing guitar for many years, and so tend to dissect music, much of which I find predictable and un original. Not so with the doves. Love the Gibson ES 335 as well.
Nice to see Frank ("hello fantastic fans") Sidebottom on the film durning There Goes The Fear. Cider Room reminds me of the first time I saw them on a cold, wet afternoon in the big tent at T in the Park in about 2001.

Anyone else at the RAH show in 2019? I think I maybe shed a little tear during The Cedar Room. Truly an amazing live song. What a band.
