Well I thought he's the weaker voice but also that it's alright. The solid parts are sung by the bassist. Fran doesn't need that, he has the charisma. he's a vocalist, not a singer. For a solid singer check out Tom Chaplin or i dont know, P!nk maybe.
Not a singer? Travis is Fran it's his voice that carries their whole sound. Solid doesn't necessarily mean loud or able to do annoying show off note runs. He sings the melody expressively, that's real singing.

I've always had huge respect for this band from the first time I heard them and learned that they recorded "The Man Who" all analog to capture the nuances grit of recording. I could hear the Beatles influence in each song, but it's so subtle, a true homage. My favorite song is She's So Strange. it reminds me of something Lennon and Harrison would have concocted for the White Album.
I absolutely love "side" . Remember when it came out. Still makes me fly somewhere I don't really understand yet. And that Vox singing loud is to die for.
Fran is a gem he’s a brilliant singer songwriter and absolutely entertains the crowd like it was his living room you never get people like that in this day and age legend
