    So this bathroom.... where do we even start. It needed a LOT of help but we're so happy with the result. It's crazy what a coat of paint and some small upgrades can do to a space in desperate need of some TLC. This might just be our most dramatic change so far. Let us know what you think in the comments below!

    It looks wayyyyy better after the makeover! The only thing I would change is the blue knobs, I didn’t like how those looked with the wood. Also, the sink cabinet would have looked more updated if it was painted.

    • @minastirith997
      @minastirith997 5 ปีที่แล้ว +97

      jes5icaP that would have cost way more and took more time. and before smoothing anything you have to remove all those layers of paint. not worth it unless it’s a total renovation.

    Imagine how pretty that would have looked with some warm pink tones in there instead of the blue. It would have harmonized so well with the new shower curtain and would have balanced out all that beige really nicely.

    You ask for grey and you get burnt orange and warm brown wood...
    I get that you guys had to work with those tiles but..
    - a bath rug not the same color as the tiles
    - a few shades lighter on the wall color
    - painted cabinet
    - a more modern towel and toilet roll holder
    would have made (in my opinion) a big difference.

      I feel like "green jungle bathroom" actually sounds cool, but that green was just too dark and intense for such a small room and it did clash with the tiles. My friend's bathroom is just as tiny and she has white walls, but her super high ceiling is painted in a colour very similar to this and it looks really cool. Cool idea, but not very fitting/well executed.

      One of the bathrooms in my childhood home was a mint/seafoam (It was also probably 3-4 times as big as this one). My mom is an interior designer and pretty much redid the whole house when we moved in (1998) but I've seen pictures of it and I think it actually looked really nice.
      The other bathroom (which was even smaller than the one in the video) was salmon and burnt orange. That one was realllllly ugly.

    U guys did good, but not digging the orange curtain. I think it looked old and took away from the nice tub & the modern updated feel of the room. Plus it made the room look smaller, maybe a more light (neutral) beigy coloured shower curtain would have been better. I especially dislike the blue knobs on the sink cabinet. It looked tacky looking. Everything else looked good tho.

Love how the plants brought life to the space and the footstool holds supplies near the tub and sink and brings the terra cotta over there. • @CestLimee
      @CestLimee 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      painting laminate is possible, I did it in my bathroom and it was such a facelift. Just know that it doesn't deal with being wet too well whatever paint is used... a puddle will dissolve the paint and might leave a mark so you always have to be really careful to wipe up water and not let it sit. Because of that painting the floor should only be done on laminate that is gross beyond salvation, which it wasn't in this video.
