Pro tip if you guys want to re-create something like this for yourselves: definitely paint the room and stain the shelves after you rip out the old carpet but before you install the new hardwood floor!
Depends on the type of paint you use. Some paint will come off the hardwood with a warm cloth and some scrubbing, thats what I did for my room makeover
Actually I found out recently when my parents got their house professionally painted that you’re supposed to install the floors first so you don’t fuck up the paint on the walls when you’re installing it 🤷🏼♀️

This is the best makeover on youtube! People usually just paint perfectly fine walls and change some things and call it an extreme makeover. This was a lot different and so fun to watch.
