Welcome back to Style Selected! The series where we both come up with a design for one room and whoever is getting the makeover has to select which one they like better. @@rosy1586 I recommend checking out the podcast in addition to the vlog channel. They've been friends since college and lived together until Becky moved in with her partner. If I spent 40-60 hour work weeks with a friend, I probably wouldn't spend a ton of time with them on my days off, as there needs to be room for separation in any relationship for it to be healthy :)

It was Nikki’s decision, if she liked Becky’s, it’s ok because it her room. Besides, Becky’s ideas never get picked and I’m happy that Becky finally got her ideas chosen

Hm. It has happened before. Just shows that if the people want it, they can combine it, right? The issue is that they have a whole planned structure to the room, so too many additions will disrupt the integrity.
They did it on their first style swapped with Adeline but for all the other rooms, I think they were much smaller and much more structured and there wasn’t really room to merge them since the designs were so different.
Okay but the thing is, Gabi know what she wants and she gets it. Niki is more of an explorer of who likes combinations of things. I personally like Gabi and i think her style is more unique than what Niki says she is. Niki is more of a hip girl which is what everyone is literally wearing these days. Your opinion is definitely valid, i just have my own!😊

Seriously. And no safety glasses. Splinter can fly into your eye and saw will catch the hair and yank your face into the spinning blade before you even have time to react. I feel like they just wanna look cute for filming but please think about safety when using power tools.

I know everyone has their own tastes and preferences, but personally, I think they did a great job and catered to what Nikki wanted. Though the room divider is nothing like Kelsey's original idea, I think it works quite well for this particular space. Overall I just think they did a great job and I lovee how they worked together on this one!

I actually really like the color combination. Plus, blue and orange are complementary colors. I probably wouldn't mind a more textured wall somewhere like white shiplap which gives me beachy vibes, but I still think it looks great.

Although I love how the room turned out I think it went too much in the direction of 70s retro and not enough rustic/ beach vibes. Also if they would’ve done Kelsey’s divider with a rustic wood and painted the room light blue and done an accent wall behind the divider it would’ve brought in more elements. Also a hammock and hanging plants would be more beachy while yellow throw pillows and accents would bring back the retro.
Obviously it didn't because she loved it so much.
I think you two get better with each room you design!

The room divider was clever. Love the bold colours and patterned wall paper. Nikis rooms usually have more patterns and textures so would have enjoyed more of those

I have a room divider module that looks kinda like this in my living room, I love how it lets light through, and allows me to display my beautiful objects without overcrowding the space. Good job on the room! Looove this series!
I love how they both obviously care a lot about looks and fashion etc. but aren't in any way intimidated by building and like using tools and stuff. I have a lot of respect for that like they show you don't have to be one or the other, you can like both things.

Same, I think it is just a little bit to extra. But, if you still had empty space I would put a carpet on top to kind of finish off the theme of the room

I absolutely loved this room.
But I was hoping one of you would have come up with the beaded curtain idea. Hanging it from the ceiling creating a 'back' for the cube shelves on the bed side of the room. 🤔 Or hanging on the desk side 😆 (shrugging shoulders)

Omg the room came out amazing!!!! I was a bit unsure of how all the different blues and yellows were going to come together-but wow seriously so nice!!!!
the actual interior design of this room was gorgeous! i think you guys nailed it. very on brand for the 70s however i didnt totally live for the other sky blue walls and the bed looked more like a hotel bed and not really 70s, maybe more funky looking pillows wouldve been dope. as for the sky blue walls, a really nice burnt orange wouldve been a cool contrast to the white wall by the office and the entrance of the room.

I think my favorite part is when I’m watching Becky and Kelsey change out the light fixtures in each room they recreate and I wish I had friends that I could call and know that I could leave my room in their hands because I’m always stressed out trying to keep a nice room plus I love interior design but there is something so special about letting go of some of that pride I have from loving design and letting someone else take the lead for me.

Blue is the best color so I'm a bit biased here, but that carpet and the dark blue wall are my favorite colors you've picked so far.
The mix of two different curtain colors for the two walls is so great, it works so well like when you did two accent walls.
There are so many different looks to this room, wonderful for a TH-camr who now has tons of angles to film from! Love it! ❤
