    As a tackle snob, I certainly agree, the exprides B is a beautiful rod. I exclusively use Nrx,conquests, steez and P5s. These rods hang with them for sure at half the price. I still love my snob tackle, but the exprides found a home on my arsenal.

    • @ChewyThaoFishing
      @ChewyThaoFishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. I talked about this in some of other videos. Shimano, megabass and even Daiwa have very well constructed rods. G-loomis have quality control issues with esthetics but they also have the best blanks.

      @@ChewyThaoFishing great video! I throw a lot of weightless senkos, shallow cranks, and poppers. Do you think this rod would do well with those applications?

  • @lexm0
    @lexm0 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I recently purchased the 6' 10" ML model and the rod is pretty dang soft but I think the action is gonna be money for ned rigs, dropshots and small jerkbaits. I have mine paired with the new Exsence 3000 and it's the lightest combo I own. It feels unreal with how light and balanced it is.

    • @ChewyThaoFishing
      @ChewyThaoFishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup! That’s the common theme but that faster action will help with sensitivity and overall performance. Excited to land some giant smallies with this rod!

    Love my 2 expride b rods. I got the 7’2 ml and the 7’6mh and they both say versatile on the rod. I wonder if all there rod say versatile on them. But I love my 7’2 ml for Ned rig mostly but you can easily fish drop shot and weightless senkos no problem. I use my 7’6 for Carolina rigging and football jigs and you can do a lot more with it if you want. With that being said the rod is sensitive, light and looks sweet. Great video and keep up the great work👍

    • @ChewyThaoFishing
      @ChewyThaoFishing  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching, Jason! That 7'2 ml has been talked about quite often on my threads - it definitely is on my list for the next spinning modle. You are right on about the rods being sensitive. They did a fantastic job of upgrading an "all already good rod" to a great rod.

      I would say that they are on par but the Expride may have the advantage. St croix has a history of having rods that are labeled as fast action but they are more towards the moderate action. St croix has always been a walleye rod manufacturer and it shows a little bit with the action tapers.
