Hi and thanks for this. I was and am an old Punk. I pretty much hated everything else. And then along came Kate Bush who completely changed for the rest of my life the way I look at music and what music I listen to. Another live Kate Bush performance that you might enjoy is the live version of 'The Wedding List' with Pete Townsend on guitar and Phil Collins on drums. Thanks again. I really enjoyed this.
My favorite Kate Bush/David Gilmour collaboration is “Rocket’s Tail” from her album _The Sensual World_. It starts out so Art-Poppish, with Kate singing a capella with the Trio Bulgarka, and then about halfway through David Gilmour unleashes one of the greatest guitar drops of all time. (It’s been one of my guilty pleasures watching naive YT reactors who just knew Kate from “Stranger Things” stumbling upon her wilder stuff like “Rocket’s Tail” and “Get Out of My House.”) BTW, David Gilmour did discover Kate in the late 70s, but she didn’t record “Running Up That Hill” until her fifth album, _Hounds of Love_. This performance was I think a couple years after it’s release, at one of the Secret Policeman’s Ball benefit concerts. In case you’re interested, Tony Franklin, the bass player in this performance, has a YT channel, and he has a video where he talks about this performance, including that ridiculous 80s hairdo. th-cam.com/video/WBzFHJhkILg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0lXdpJ1KPzTNOgJm
I was unaware of this performance, thanks for sharing it, and sorry for my bad English from an Italian Pink Floyd super fan
Glad you enjoyed it
