And to bridge generations; possibly more importantly. I don't have anything in common with Gen Z, but music has (and has always had) the power to bridge generational gaps. It's a foot in the door. A means to start a conversation. That's all humanity needs.
Slayer-Payback, Sepultura-Arise, Sodom-Body parts and Skinned Alive, Testament-DNR, Metallica-Fight Fire With Fire, Martyr-Feeding The Abcess, Pestilence-Spheres, Voivod-Micro Solutions To Micro Problems. Just listen.
Before looping was a thing, these guys had a thing called "talent!" Unlike most musicians today! By the way, this is nothing like Seek & Destroy. Have another listen.
definitely very talented. seek and destroy talks about hunting people down in a town and "destroying" them. Cowboys from hell talks about taking over a town cause they are cowboys so i think they are pretty similar in the message.
The drummer Vinnie Paul was a beast RIP. He's been prolly the biggest influence of drums for late 90's-2000's drummers coming up. He kills it on Dominaton, off this same album. This whole album was what people were craving for after Metallica went soft.. I caught this video on tv in like 1990, I was hooked as a 15yr old.
Cemetery Gates is another phenomenal song if you haven't done that one already. Make sure its the album version and not the music video. They cut the whole intro out in the video.
I highly recommend you listen to anything by Jerry Cantrell (guitarist of Alice in Chains). I haven't seen any reactions on YT, so you'd be doing something new as well :) (Anger Rising, Dickeye, Siddhartha, Pig Charmer and Gone are perfect first listens imo) Would appreciate it very much, thanks in advance! ❤
Every time I see a Pantera reaction the people love it ! Best band ever!!
RIP Vinnie and Dime. Miss you guys.
I know what it's like for my Dad when John Lennon died. I generally hate celebrity... but man I loved Dimebag and Vinnie
That music has the power to save an entire generation if you just believe
Great comment

It’s what killed grunge
Bro just let the album keep playing. Straight into Primal Concrete Sledge, please, for the boys...

0:45 No loop tracks. This was back in the days where things were recorded on tape and there was no digital editing.
