I have been using the Fenix hl-10 and hl-50, both great lights...

I have a th10 and its a sweet head light. I might have to get this for a little smaller option.

headlamps i think are for up close 20-30 yards type stuff... if you need further range then you need an actual flashlight to do the job... my thrunite flashlight was faulty but they are checking it out and sending me a new one and sending me this headlamp also for reviewing to. i posted my review of the archer 1a v3 after talking to them if you want to see it... they seem to be a good honest company that wants honest reviews...

yeah, there is hardly a week that goes by where I don't get an offer to review gear for some company that expects you to lie and exaggerate for them. Its really not even tempting for me because there are good companies out there like Thrunite that support your channel unconditionally. And Thrunite does listen to us small channels... thats why they are on a V3 of that light. They are always trying to improve based on the feedback they get.
It's a shame because you lose respect for alot of the big channels because you see them reviewing gear that comes with "strings attached" or companies that offer $$ for positive reviews.
Good luck trying to destroy that headlamp. The TH10 took an insane amount of punishment and is still ticking.

well they want me to try and destroy the archer. they didnt say destroy the headlamp but put it through a backpacker test :)
i get tons of offers to but i turn them down if they dont let me post a neg review.
i showed this one to thrunite first and they said show it. so that says they want good and bad. that means honest to me.

yeah, that is exactly why I always defend and recommend thrunite to people... and I know for a fact that there are a few other manufacturers that pay trolls to write bad stuff about Thrunite. I pay attention to the comments people leave and you start to notice when people say, "oh mine was dead on arrival so I bought xxx brand and have been super happy" on every single video that you make... it's kind of obvious because they do it all at once. Not like they even space them out by a few hours to make it look innocent.
it really took running a channel to realize how dirty a business youtube is!

Mine came with the switch on the left...essentially backward. My payment was not backward. Thrunite didn,t want to know squat.

I contacted Thrunite to purchase the lost pocketclip for my beloved TN Archer 2c v2, and even recontacting them thru email and even eventually reluctant complaint contact I was just quickly simply told that this light was discontinued..... So do you know if another companies pocketclip (deep carry like original if pos) may fit? like an Olight or Fenix model perhaps?

Hello, I noticed this very informative review is from 3 years ago. Would you still recommend this model (thrunite) or is there an improved version? Maybe a better product? I´m moving to a rural area in Costa Rica and need something reliable but light. Thanks!

Thru nite customer service sucks... you don't need a super bright headlamp... carry a primary light if you need 500 lumens plus.... plus the Fenix has a better throw... I would rather see whats ahead
