Reminded me my Grandma telling me it was illegal in the 1950s to sell margarine colored to look like butter so it was sold with the dye packs she called it Oleo
Regarding picnicking on roadsides, from the early 1900s after Henry Ford made automobiles affordable, people would often park their cars on the side of a road and have a picnic as a way tom take a break and have a meal on a long drive. This was before roadside restaurants became common. It also became more necessary during the Great Depression of the 1930s as a way to save money. Even today, at rest stops on major highways, one often finds picnic tables so that families can stop and have a snack and relax a bit before continuing on their journey.
Margarine, AKA oleo was banned from our house growing up. My Father hated it. He grew up in a fairly small town in PA and his Mother used real butter for everything except eggs. They both saved and used bacon grease for frying those. It must have been from his Army boot camp days that he started hating oleo. I too, also can't stand it. Red lobster tried to pawn of some off on me with my crab legs.
I’m in the state where they banned ice cream trucks the first time I saw one was a in my house or b in my baseball game but I seen they appear but I barely see them so thanks for telling me that
I don't live in Wisconsin, but margarine sure hasn't won my heart. It's not allowed in our house. And I lived in Iowa for years. There wasn't ever a hot day that the ice cream truck didn't make the rounds. I'd never heard that it was illegal.
Portion control that's what my school thought would be a good idea for the lunches but turns out it was disgusting and I threw up and I'm pretty sure a lot of kids ended up throwing up
@@BabbleTop thanks it’s not as good as America though because we just have rip offs of American foods we have a thing called pinguinos which is a copy of a hostess chocolate cupcake and then other stuff like nocilla a copy of Nutella it is so annoying
IMHO, if a Vending Machine stole your money, you should have a legal right to get a refund of what you paid it for, or at least be given the food item in question. I mean, it's one thing if it's an oversight in how the vending machines work, but it's ANOTHER if a company deliberately left them that way, or worse, are intending to catch people doing this as some sort of sick, twisted social experiment. They need to do some serious reconsideration on their vending machine laws.
i do wonder how many of these are actually enforced as opposed to just being laws that exist but aren't really enforced like whale hunting in a land locked state
Did you know McDonald’s aren’t allowed to put the containers of fries like fill them to the top. They told me that one day or looked and me thought I didn’t need that many fries I only eat like a small fry
I happen to be from Iowa myself that we actually did had ice cream trucks their during in the summer when I was a child refer to them as the ding ding man.
@@BabbleTop nope gherkins are not cucumbers they are separate species. You can grow gherkins and eat then unpickled I know those as groffies . depending on the process after they turn into pickles or gherkins
Fact audit.... In Indiana, Gas Stations cannot sell cold beer. Wal Mart sells hard liqor on the end cap of the dairy section next to the Danimals and Lunchables..., right next to the infant stuff, adjacent to the Doritos. And guess what...? Beverage coolers are throughout... Good clickbait though. Lot of dummies out here are likely watching this... Oh crap. Thats me. Hahahaha
