My favorite when I lived in Az. Was Waffle House and Jack in the Box. Two of my favs don't have either of the above in Minn. In Minn has to be Culver's. Have a great day e everyone.
I grew up with Friendly's in New Jersey in the 1960's, and I'll never forget it. I loved the food and especially the series of collectable miniature football helmets they had for a while. (Actually my brother got them, but I always played with them in secret. 😁) I'm glad they're still around! 😁😘
Actually I live in Thailand, and most of the major shopping malls, have a Friendly’s. Only the prices are much less, but the quality and service is still good.
Either I got mediocre service or the one in Utah sucks, because I seriously remember saying "this burger is a burger, there's nothing special about it."
What-a-burger is great; their fish sandwich during Lent is the best in the country. Their simple standard burger, with a buttery bun, is also great. When I had a long trip in Texas, I grabbed a bag of burgers and fries and had 'a catered' affair during the entire trip from Houston to Dallas...
Being s native of Los Angeles, I have been to In and Out many times over the years. I've never been to Roscoe's chicken.🍗 and waffle. I've also been to Whataburger whenever I've been to Dallas.
There is also a chain called "Blake's Lotaburger" in New Mexico, I ate there for a year, without being too impressed, before I realized that it wasn't the famous "Whataburger"
One thing they didn't mention about Taco Cabana is that they serve alcohol there and they make their own Margaritas in house and you can drink them on the patio

Statistically Portillos does the most business per location than any other "fast food"chain. My father was lucky enough to see the numbers when it was sold as a corporation a few years ago. Current locations are around chicago (literally need police to direct traffic around weekday lunch), heard of them in Ohio and saw them in Arizona.
@@j.w.griggsiii8698 I used to work there. As far as that goes it was horrible. The food is usually pretty good but I live in southern alabama now so its not really around here
Tyler Lawrence Back in the day there was taco cabana. There was taco casita as well. Family fighting over naming rights. In Austin you would find a taco cabana and a taco casita side by side. I absolutely loved shake shack when I visited NJ. Their burgers are so good and the chicken nuggets made for delicious appetizer. Great milkshakes too. I wish they had them where I live though.
We have Krystal and Whataburger here in Mississippi. Bojangles had several stores that did not last long. I've had Culvers on a trip to Wisconsin and it was good. I think El Pollo Loco and In-And-Out would work well here.

They have one in Chicago too, I’m from nyc and went to visit and wanted some shake shack when I saw it but didn’t get any cause I can get it at home. Chose carbonara at grand lux cafe instead
Here in Mesa, Arizona I'm not too far from White Castle or Whataburger....I would pass 10 BILLION In-And-Out locations to get to ONE Whataburger.... if Gordon Ramsay EVER had a Whataburger, he would NEVER look at an in-And-Out Burger again!
Bojangles is a wonderful restaurant! They are one of my favorites in South Carolina! I love their spicy chicken, and their sweet potato pie is no joke! I am truly surprised that Sonic and Popeye's didn't make this list! Also, Cookout restaurant has quickly become a favorite in the Carolinas. I especially recommend ordering a burger cookout style!
@@frankmontez6853 I would say that it is better from what I have tasted of both places. Of course, what they offer in TX at both places may be different from what they offer in S.C. I just give you my recommendation based on my experience here I'm S.C.

@Frank Montez, I have definitely tried Whataburger, although it has been several years. I hope to return to TX one day to have it again! It was very good!
They used to have three friendly"s in the Columbus Ohio area, Columbus, Worthington and Grandview . They are all long gone. If you go to friendlies with your kids get the monster sundaes if they still make them, a small scop of ice cream, m&m eyes and half a Reese's peanut butter cup cut in half for two ears.
Friendly's has a location in Orlando FL on International drive and Culver's also has a location in Jupiter FL just down the street from the high school
We have or have had several of these franchises in regions of Texas and I have lived in other states and countries. The only fast food chain I’ve ever missed is Whataburger. Many of my friends and family buy their brand’s ketchup and spicy ketchup. The best and highest quality fast food burger I’ve had though is Beck’s Prime out of Houston with a few locations in Austin and Dallas. A secret though is the burgers at taquerias. No one ever thinks to order them, but they are greasy, flavorful, and delicious! As for Mexican food, I’ve lived in both states and Texas has California beat for sure! Living in Mexico though, the food was dangerously good. It was so rich, I came back heavier and in need of a cleanse. The one thing I really noticed different from their cuisine and Tex mex and authentic Mexican food in Texas is their use of crema. It’s sold in stores, but I never see it served with meals in Texas. Mmmmmm so good!
You may be only able to do this during breakfast hours from 11 pm to 11 am (open 24 hours), but the ultimate Whataburger starts with their pattymelt. I then have them add bacon, fried egg (May not be available after breakfast), and jalapeno. It's epic!!
Man every time I go back home to Georgia I always have to stop at a Krystal. Man I love them and grew up eating them. Now that I live in Texas I love a good Whataburger any day of the week. And by the way Whataburger did not start in San Antonio. They were founded and started in Corpus Christi.
I just went to krystal for the first time last Saturday. Was not impressed. The restaurant was super dirty. Food was bland and mushy. Fried were good. If you ever have the chance, try Braum’s.
We had WhiteCastles in San antonio but they closed it down a few yrs ago..Krystal burgers used to be REAL good back in the 80's when i was living in Atlanta
My cousin moved from ny to ms a few years ago & she said krystal is nasty. She's since moved to nj, where there's white castle. Its obviously a regional thing when it comes to taste. Up north is WC, down south its krystal. We dont put mustard on our burgers up here, strictly ketchup.
Yea Krystal’s has gone downhill. Most of the stores are nasty. And in my opinion, overpriced for what you get. This is coming from someone who’s lived all their life in the south.
@@BabbleTop I've just been 1 time. It just opened late 2018 or early 2019 in Panama City Beach, Florida. I got a fish shrimp combo basket & it was awesome. The breading wasn't too sweet or to spicy. Next summer if we go, I'll try something new.
Nah. It's overrated. Not terrible for fast food, and certainly better than mcdonalds. Maybe it's the best value, but places like five guys or shake shack have better quality burgers. IMO.
I live in houston and really like whataburger but i thinj i like in n out more, but maybe thats just cause i cant have it anytime like i can with whataburger. Some in austin and san antonio, so i take advantage when i go there haha
@@mikeartillery6956 Mike, if that is true, I sadly remove my hat and observe a moment of silence for my once glorious Texas burger chain. Sure was good while it lasted.
Seriously. Shake shack is trash food. It taste like basic burgers and their shakes are average at best. But Raising Canes is amazing. Sober and drunk haha.
you ever go to a salad place and panic when they ask you what you want and you don’t know so you just nervously start picking random things till you end up with a bunch of ingredients that shouldn’t go together and then you’re just eating a really confusing shit salad? me either.
I really miss Houston, Pappadeaux’s oh my, Bodegas and I can’t remember the name of the place with the chicken tenders as their specialty and their special sauce. If I stayed in Houston a few more years I would have easily been 400lbs.
I went to an ln and Out Burger in Dallas. Loved it 👍 Culver's may be famous for Burgers but I get the Fried Cod dinner. It really is better than most fish places.
I've been to Shake Shack's Vegas location twice and it was so good, like a fancier Five Guys. There's one Culver's in Utah that is also good. I'm curious about Whataburger though. I know it's not a fast food restaurant, but Black Bear Diner is another awesome regional restaurant, it's mainly in the West Coast and the midwest, I don't know if there's any locations in the east.
I'm a California native and I've never been to Roscoe's and have had no interest in going. I have been to Whataburger when I've been down in Dallas, would like to try taco Cabana whenever I go back down there.
Danielle, I'm from Dallas, and back about 40 years ago I visited Los Angeles-land. It was friendly, fantastic, and funkylicious. I stoped and ate at a small joint close to Disneyland and enjoyed listening to the conversations being had by Disneyland employees. Their horror stories were fantastic! I can honestly say that was the best experience of my visit to Los Angeles. I even got to see the inside of an Adam12 style LA police cars, for free, WOW! Definitely magical. The happiest place on earth.
You could've done way better research. There is a chain out of Minco, OK called Braums. They are a self contained chain who has a d!@m great double chease burger. .
I live in Colorado but grew up in OK, and Braums is still one of the best ice cream/hamburger joints on earth. The closest Braums to me is in Salina Kansas lol. I get back to Oklahoma once a year and look forward to stopping there! I miss Braums more than anything else in OK.
Whataburger goes hard💪 A number 2 with double cheese sauteed jalapeños and onions and toast the bun both sides with Onion rings and strawberry Malt shake.👊
How you gonna say that there’s, “Plenty of good Mexican food in California” and then talk about one Mexican food chain in Texas. Disrespectin’ the whole Tex-mex culture in two sentences
Thanks to Mahomes...Whattaburger is finally coming up north...there used to be a line that most south food places wouldnt send trucks...and this is around Missouri/Arkansas...Kansas/Oklahoma...kinda sucks since north of that we cant go to them...unless we are traveling...

Current locations are around chicago (literally need police to direct traffic around weekday lunch), heard of them in Ohio and saw them in Arizona.
Same with Potbelly. Fuck I need a wreck on wheat stat.

Taco Cabana was started in San Antonio not Austin.
This whole video is a joke. “Mexican cuisine is not know for dessert” sure sure
Taco cabana still taste like shit

Back in the day there was taco cabana. There was taco casita as well. Family fighting over naming rights. In Austin you would find a taco cabana and a taco casita side by side.
Same pink motifs from what I remember. family members fighting over taco cabana. One brother branched out and started taco casita.

We have Krystal and Whataburger here in Mississippi. Bojangles had several stores that did not last long. I've had Culvers on a trip to Wisconsin and it was good. I think El Pollo Loco and In-And-Out would work well here.
Culver's has been in Arizona for years. ICVMI, Colorado is east of Arizona.
Plus, we (Colorado) only got Culver's a few years ago.
Sort of - but who cares?
I've never had the chance to have Krystal Sliders but they seem like the same thing as White Castle, which I enjoy in their own right.
Krystal uses mustard, whereas WC ruins theirs with catsup. Plain, they are the same, yes.
@@UrbanGardeningWithD.A.Hanks14 WC doesn't put ketchup on their sliders, they only put onions and pickles on their burgers. You have to put the ketchup and/or mustard yourself.

There's a Culver's in Alabama, even though it's about 40min away from my home in tuscaloosa. I definitely have to try it!
Cool! Let us know once you've tried it 😄
Where is it I’m n bham
Bojangles is a wonderful restaurant! They are one of my favorites in South Carolina! I love their spicy chicken, and their sweet potato pie is no joke!
I am truly surprised that Sonic and Popeye's didn't make this list! Also, Cookout restaurant has quickly become a favorite in the Carolinas. I especially recommend ordering a burger cookout style!
Agreed as a North Carolinian! Cookout is just ✨chef kiss!✨
I've heard of Bojangles being very good here in Texas. I'll try it if ever get the chance. I've heard it's similar to Church's ?
@@frankmontez6853 I would say that it is better from what I have tasted of both places. Of course, what they offer in TX at both places may be different from what they offer in S.C. I just give you my recommendation based on my experience here I'm S.C.
@@j.w.griggsiii8698 sorry didn't mean to confuse you , but they don't have it here . If it ever opens up here I'll try it. As for Whataburger I'd recommend you try it if you get the chance. Yummy 😋🤤
A Culver's recently opened in Bullhead City, Arizona, on Hwy. 95. First one I'd ever seen.
Culver's has restaurants in many Arizona locations. Opened one in Kingman recently.
Friendly's has a location in Orlando FL on International drive and Culver's also has a location in Jupiter FL just down the street from the high school
merik2001 we have a bunch of Culvers in Lee County
I was thinking I’m sure I went to a friendlys in Orlando back in 95
Culver’s is all over south and central Florida

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of it but there’s a place called “McDonald’s” in the Idaho area. It is amazing, come to Idaho to try it out!
Lebron Jamek interesting.. it sounds like a farm theme restaurant but fitting for Idaho might actually see it’s not too far away from me
Yeah, I've heard of it. Malcolm McDowell as H.G. Wells mentions it as that Scottish place he had breakfast in "Time After Time "
I bet they have some ridiculous mascot named something plain like Ronald (could you imagine? Ronald McDonald? How silly!)

Whataburger is great and should be everywhere. They would put some fast food restaurants out of business. I love their burgers
We have Culver's all over AZ. It goes further West than Colorado.
And we've got one in Asheville, NC...so almost all the way to the East Coast, too...
Culver's is expensive and has average burgers.
