My hair be locking up on its own anyway when I do regular two strand twist styles. Idk it seems to lock up so fast. I plan to get microlocs...this 4C stuff seems to love locking lbvs.
I love your points, the type of locks to get is a personal decision, I started my journey with braid locks and I'm happy with that decision, my hair grow super fast and I wash every week. Thank you so much for your tips.
As far as washing goes, microlocs are just like washing your own hair. I personally am a clean scalp kinda person. I wash, condition, deep condition my hair just like when I was lose natural. I get the same results of a fresh clean scalp with half the effort. But for versatility, I had the same concerns. If you have shorter locs, like only a couple of inches, your versatility may be limited. But as your hair grow, so does your hair styling options. However, if you are a high maintenance person and you enjoy all the work you have to do for your hair frequently, then I’d stay away from locs. 😅 I know a lot of high maintenance people who start their locs and then cut them due to them being use to being high maintenance
@@chescawest Thank you. I'm a high maintenance kind of person when it comes to my hair. I been doing my own hair since I was 12 years old. The last couple of months I haven't done anything new with my hair cause I been busy with school and work. My hair been in high bun for months and I'm already bored.
I am the exact same way, I changed my hair up once a week. But once I started working full time and finished up undergrad, the last thing I wanted to worry about was my hair. I like the easy ability to literally wake up and go. Or speak more time and style if I want.

This is helpful! I love them on others, want them for me but #1 got me and commitment.
I believe so helpful and needed. Thanks for honesty
Very good information on considering a new hair journey. Thanks for sharing.
This was helpful. The only one that applies to me is #1. Which is my I’m doing my research on micro braid locs
I love them, but deep inside I know they aren't for me. If I could get them it would have to be maintained by someone else....fully.
A lot of people do choose to go that route! I’m just a DIYer... but most people just gotta find a good loctitian in their area.
very good video, point are clear you hair is lovely
I'm scared I will get bored with my locs and also I feel like my hair will never get clean no matter how much I wash it
