I was a weedy little teenager and could kick start an SR500. Nowadays, I'm a fat old man who can kickstart a big single. The singles have a big enough flywheel to start pretty easy. If they're maintained and ridden regularly.
Alright! 10:22 and the DT50/LC appears. I have a bought since new '89 in bumblebee (10,750 on original piston/rings) and a refurbished XT colored '88. The latter's just been redone with fresh crank bearings, new seat cover, wet sanded plastics, new knobbies, and just today, an installed tach cable. Both are fully plated taking advantage of the fact that these were the ONLY liquid cooled two stroke enduro fully 50 state legal ever sold in the US by any make then and since. 6 speed, monoshock, tach, speedo, temp gauge, cowling, 7" travel and adult sized 31" seat height. Tops out over 60 mph too with a sprocket only.
Dave, at the 10:55 mark you walk right past a BSA 441 Victor without commenting! How could you ignore that Loctite user? Back in the day, I... (You know the rest of the comment.) Love your videos. They bring back memories.
i have an eccentric friend whose collection not includes a pristine vintage sherpa t in his living room but also has new vintage NOS bultaco and hodaka motors sitting on shelves like nik naks, he's even got a new never run old hit and miss motor.....
GREAT CHANNEL 👍 all the BEST from UK
Thank you very much!
Thanks for showing us Barber! I am still voting DAVE!

Enjoying the videos very much while recovering from back surgery due to motocross/supercross career, thanks Dave

The world famous Barber swap meet, as if the world should know where it’s held.
Actually, it's in the description of the video. But if you missed it, Birmingham Ala, late September/early October
Dave, I grew up in Lewiston. When were you there?
1982, I lived in Genesee Idaho in a trailer! Loved it there!
Would love to see more details on the bmws ...
I'll try next time

I know many folks with bikes in their living room, but my wife says no!
You coming up to NJ this weekend for the Nesco swap meet ?
No. Unfortunately I have to miss it.
1970 DT1-C . That color is a 1970. It is the original color. 23hp. The 1st year of the DT1 in 1968 was white. The 1969 was gold.
Thanks man!
The red DT1 is a 70 model.
Thanks. I was thinking 70 might be white. It was a nice bike
Did I miss it, because I did not see what you bought and unloaded at the end of the video?
No, that's coming. Just one bike. I spent alot in Iowa!
Thanks for the reply. I will keep my eyes out. So many memories as my friends and I rode dirt bikes back in the early seventies. @@bullpencycles
Find out who owned the Metralla 👍
RD 400s every where.
Where's all The K and Air heads ?
Yeah, you don't see many k models
$31,000 for that Z1 and $22,500 for that H2? Damn!!!😮😮😮
I remember selling one just like it but largely original for 11.5 k, about 8 years ago, And I thought I was doing well. Oh, well.
