New subscriber today and I never realized what incredible content that you have. I'm glad to see that you're prioritizing your dad's projects. Time passes faster than one realizes and I'm certain he feels it more than you. I lost my dad 22 years ago before I had the sense to realize this. He was 74 and always asking me to go fishing with him but I could never find the time. Last year my brother passed suddenly, just 5 weeks before his 60th birthday. His being 5 years younger really got my attention!
Please don't see this as being morbid, I'm just reminding you of your good call to move "The Old Man" up on your To Do list. .
May you both enjoy many more great years together!

Nothing quirky or weird about what u do or like , u are a master at your art and love your vids , i myself love going to swap meets and if i dont know what it is i ask and learn , on the other hand my dad had a ton of those print blocks i remember as a kid because he was a printer himself , he had sold them off many years ago but did learn us on how he would set them in those trays and how the ink roller would cross them to ink them and then press the paper etc etc. Keep the awesome vids !!!

Cool finds, especially that collection of printing blocks...CONGRATS! My dear late Mom always would say, " you better get it while you see it, because it's the things that get away that will always haunt us"...Mamma was right...and happy you listened to your instincts! That set is well worth it and will go nicely with the pieces you own already. Cheers & God bless (love the Jesus plate), from British Columbia, Canada👋😎

Those printing blocks are way cool. Back in the middle 80's - I was working in a plant that made various types of marking and stamping items. We made a wide range of products -
everything from dog registration tags to rubber stamps to airport interior directional signs. Part of my job was working on a heat stamping press that was mainly used to stamp
company logos onto plastic name tags. We made the name tags worn by everyone from counter agents to stewardess' for Frontier Airlines - as well as a few hundred other local
businesses. We had a large chest, like the one that this drawer would have come out of, full of the various dies and logos. I miss that kind of "hands on" work.

Those are what’s know as cuts the only thing they have in common in a pressman sometimes locks them both in a chase then locks the chase in the press!

You must have a press then, maybe waiting to do printing project I'm guessing?
I worked for an outfit one time who billed themselves as 'fine art lithographers'. Their presses were ancient machines from the late 19th century with no ball bearings, all brass on steel instead. We printed some really neat stuff with hand mixed spot colors. It made for a nice product. There are other places around the country too that are taking the 'art approach' to old school style printing.
    Great video Tim!

I'd recognize that voice anywhere. It's the voice of Mr. Goodpliers. That 1956 Lincoln Premiere convertible looks very impressive and even appears to have its original paint color, which is Desert Bluff. The price says $9,000 obo that seems reasonable given its rather depraved condition. I hope that someone buys it and then restores it.

There's a fraction of a percent that lands at the top. The lion's share of things we find are run of the mill. Several things make this unique - the subject matter, the total number of pieces in one place, the condition, and the material having survived being scrapped.
It took a short observation to realize the significance of what I was looking at, a bit more time to make the decision, but looking back it is sinking in that this is an opportunity that won't pop up twice

The steel body is pretty solid. All of the wood needs replaced - it makes the structure of the car, so it's an advanced project for someone with woodworking knowledge and experience. We started it, drove it out of the garage, around the field, and backed it back in the garage on a "Will It Run" video on my channel here. I have picked up a correct pair of seats for it since the video was made. It has a clean title. I had listed it on Marketplace for $3500. I can be reached by email at mrgoodpliers1985@gmail.com
