    Sounds good man, and pretty similar to mine in how loud it is. I think the only difference is mine is a little deeper and gives it a stronger note in the cabin with the windows up, but it’s hard to give a real comparison over video🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @Broke-Media
      @Broke-Media 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Either way I think it sounds great, and it’s always louder than you think outside of your car, and if you think otherwise get someone else’s opinion as they drive next to you😂

      @@Broke-Media oh yeah, it definitely sounds good to me from the outside, I may have to supplement the resonator delete with an axle back exhaust like the MPE, Remus, or AWE. I love the way yours sounds, replacing the muffler in particular does seem to give these cars a much deeper tone which would be more noticeable in the car.

    • @Broke-Media
      @Broke-Media 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mevans313 Yeah I think so too, In my opinion check out the mpe exhaust first because I think it’s the cheapest option of the 3 and gives very similar sound from what I’ve heard unless you don’t care about the price. You’ll have to let me know if end up with one of them!

      @@javiertorreszuniga6766 if you plan on getting a downpipe in the future then I would probably get the M performance exhaust, the AWE exhaust sounds great but from what I know it’s pretty loud with a downpipe. M performance exhaust + downpipe will sound just right since the m performance exhaust is a little quieter

    Always sounds a bit too noisy for me, a res delete. I have an old r56s mini and I am going for a high flow cat because its a bit quieter but still sporty. Nice M40i though. Want one one day.

    • @mevans313
      @mevans313  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Even getting rid of both resonators for me, the sound increase from inside the car is actually very mild. Definitely not too noisy, at least in my opinion. Every car is different obviously. But thanks!

    i’m stuck either getting m240i or 5.0 10 speed. i want a comfortable daily but at same time can have fun anytime i want without it breaking unexpected. how has you’re reliability and maintance been for this car anything crazy? i know if you take care of a car it’ll take care of you.

      I’ve had it for a year so far, it’s a 2018 with only 37k miles. Haven’t had to do anything outside of normal maintenance so far. My friend is currently shopping for a 10 speed 5.0 and I much prefer my M240, for whatever that’s worth!

      When you say 5.0 do you mean the Mustang? If so, i own a manual m240i and took a manual 5.0 Mustang round a circuit. The Mustang handled like a boat, felt massive and heavy, and didn't go any faster than the M240i. That said, V8 noises..

    Cool to see you’re in MA I am too. I assume he cut the resonators and added a pipe and welded to stock exhaust? Correct me if I’m wrong. I want to get the dinan midpipe just to avoid welding and still be able to return to stock exhaust if I decide to get rid of the car. But good video man cleared up some questions

    • @mevans313
      @mevans313  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nino, the stock exhaust is actually all one welded piece from the downpipe all the way to the muffler. Even with the Dinan midpipe you’ll need to cut the stock exhaust and weld up the new one. Same goes for the muffler. So yes, he cut the resonators out and welded in stainless piping! Maybe I’ll see you around town one day, what do you drive?

      @@mevans313 yup, did it with my 440i and for $200 it was probably my favorite mod for the money. I eventually got a little bored with it and ended up buying the MPPSK muffler to complete my own retrofitted MPPSK exhaust. And while I’m in love with the MPPSK exhaust and believe it was worth it, it was $2000 total compared to $200. Dual resonator delete is much better value for the money, I just wanted to crank it up to 11.

      @@mevans313 Are you gonna do a tune? Cause that will clear the light and let it pass inspection(MA only does OBD check which a tune will say it’s okay). I literally just got my new inspection sticker today and I’m throwing in my ER high flow catted DP on Sunday, pretty sure when I flash to bootmod it would pass inspection anyways but at least this way I have a full year before having to worry about it.
