I had my roof replaced last year. The roofing company I hired, they brought this machine and I was like what the heck is that? It was nice seeing it in action. The company brought two. Once the one filled up, they would rotate it while keeping the work flowing nice and easy. It’s definitely a great machine.
You’re right in my backyard with this video these trailers have been popular since I was a little kid (I’m only 20) roofing crews love these and were considering adding them to the fleet at the equipment rental shop I work at

I live about 2.5 hrs north west of Lancaster PA. I've seen a few of those around town for a few years and never knew what its was. Thats a pretty sweet piece of equipment. Good stuff Stan👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
4,000 lbs cap probably north of $45k pretty slick toy. but even a full sized telehandler thats rated for 8k can be tippy with 14sq of shingles at full boom. ~3,500lbs

Hrmm with a little more introspection, the Tote guy is in essence a large wheel barrow.... with the correct "dump" box on it. Of course 8' wide so surely there is a better solution.
A lot of companies will think outside the box which is kind of average that you see but that thing was outside the box the circle and the triangle all together it was three-dimensional I should have had my glasses on
it needs expandable axles like the ultrabooms have having run telehandlers for years this unit looks kind of dangerous with how narrow it is also it lacks the leveling cylinder a traditional telehandler has though the box idea is not a bad one the commercial roofing companies around here use old airplane supply trucks which have a scissor lift box that does a similar thing
Stan it's a shame I'm sure you flew into Philly international if I would of known could of bought you lunch or dinner I'm 15 min from airport and 45 min or so from Lancaster have seen there product many times being so close to there factory

I saw comments saying the price is going to be 150k? This unit should cost less than a telehandler. You can buy similar lift height and capacity telehandlers for less than 100k.
Price is fair, since if you want too use a real telehandler you need to load it on a equipment trailer and move it with a real truck. Also there is alot of development in this machine and it is probably very low productiin volume. So the priece is reasonable.
@@jonasstahl9826 you dont always have to load a telehandler could drive it down the road like Stan moves his loaders. And a telehandler has a full cab and diesel engine ability to put skid steer attachments on the front. This only have a briggs and stratton engine, the remote control capabilities and a few extra moving parts. Should be a minimum the same price as a Cat telehandler.
@@AndrewOborny Again the difficult parts is developing the turn into trailer function, thats what cost the additional 50k also you pay because it safes money since it is obviously way faster too transport than a telehandler the drives on its own, or cost way more too haul on a truck and you dont need the additional person that drives the telehandler to the jobsite.
I would have chosen a small turbo charged labors diesel. Far more fuel efficient. Runs cooler, fuel never goes bad. Virtually 0 maintenance. Longer oil change intervals. Smaller engine. More power, more torque. All the things hydraulics need. No brainer. Oh, did I mention they always work.
I think those things would be alot better safer set up if they didn't use pickup tires on it equipment tires have thick sidewalls so when you blow one out it's not gonna be so abrupt and tip you over or something I think they should of done better research on tires and rim size like 16.5 trailer tires you can wide and good tread on them and like a inch plus thick sidewall on them and stand up better to nails cough cough you're making this for roofs where nails fall on the ground all the time just saying seems like they just to new to this can be 10 years or 20 years but they still creating greenhorn designs with alot of things

@@jonasstahl9826you can haul a telehandler pretty fast and a small one can go on a equipment trailer bumper pull behind a 3/4 ton truck.
