I give you a lot of credit for keeping that ole truck running down the road, not a lot of people can do that these days. Good for you.
Actually, they're easier to run than the modern trucks with all their electronics. Simple, straight forward, and basic...so easily maintained
Orwell yanked that load up and ran with it! I just love it! Glad you were able to get him fixed.
I have just discovered you channel, and as a British person with a love of American trucks I'm really pleased I did. I first fell in love with Peterbilt's 362 CABOVER in 1992, on a trip from Boston to Watkins Glen NY, to watch the 'Budweiser at the Glen' Nascar 'race. I saw plenty of them on the i90 and I've been smitten ever since. I'm glad to see the old-timer is still earning its keep, and long may it continue.Cheers from the UK.🇺🇸🇬🇧
steve i am in jamaica i bought a 1987 international cabover tipper last week doing some cleaning on it and getting it ready for the sand work it running very gd
In love with 352 and 362 Pete Cabover.. Biggest and coolest video.. Thanks for sharing your work and travelling.. Cheers from France !
I’ll tell my good friend who is an engineer at Oshkosh to engineer a truck that isn’t over height when loaded on a low boy!!!
I'm a PEVO Driver and honestly the OS loads aren't really exciting for me but dang it all seeing that Pete Cab Over going down the road that is EXCITING ASF #LONGLIVETHECABOVER
That's one amazing load. Orwell sounds the best with that 3406B Cat.
Well I guess that diaphragm was a lot of problems for Orwell. He sounds a little better just listening to the pipes. Be careful and have fun on this run. Even tho it is a month ago. Lol
Proudly wearing one of your FSC Trucking shirts in Battle Creek, Michigan that I received in the mail the other day. Safe travels ahead.
Orwell is running mint with the AFD fixed! Awesome video Steve!
Yes ser that 379 was a nice looking truck but as i like to say the older the better and Orwell has a great owner that is you steve and i love the old cabover trucks they are unfortunately getting more and more rare and is sad
Still rolling more coal than some frickin' Paccar.
Hey Steve! Been A Bit Busy, Not Being Able To Catch As Much Videos, But Still Supporting You! Wishin' You The Best!!
Impressive how well a stock 3406 pulls ...
Got to love the sound of industrial equipment going by, car honking, trucks backing up and the birds singing in the back ground. That sound like an early but mid morning.
LoL Steve that base on the ear phone. LoL 10/10 on the coal coming out the stacks. Thanks for the vid Steve.
LOVE LOVE the view forward on the striker
i love listening to orwell sing. man it sounds good.
Get angry Orville. Be the beast. Tug!
Aaagh! Friggin' HATE stop light squatters 29:50 makin' Orwell hit the binders for nuthin'! Good travels you two.
To me, someone who is looking for a payday 😮😮😮😢😢😢😢😢😢
Orwell makin' sweet music...
Steve / W5BIB - OTR 1977-2009 (miss the way it was)
Great video Steve really enjoy all the different camera angles and your commentary and the music. Orwell sounds good under that load since you fixed the AFD. Definitely nice when you step on the pedal and have power to maintain speed. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Steve.
Absolutely amazing what goes into transporting anything by truck , you guys and gals who do it every day deserve a lot of thanks👏👍
It is awesome to see a cabover Peterbilt still working. And the exhaust fits the truck's personality perfectly.
Я английский язык очень плохо знаю,но я понял все,что ты делал. Отличная работа 👍
Very cool video, I was starting to wonder if you could get under it or not, but then came the power oh yeah. Stay safe n have a great week
فعلا اقوى جرار راس خلق فى الكرة الارضية هذا الجرار القوى فى السحب❤❤❤
To pervertion?
Anda pengemudi trailer yang sangat teliti sekali dalam keselamatan barang yang anda bawa ...sangat sulit menemukan orang sepeti anda di negara saya ....good job ....👍👍👍
Old School Cool!
That load made Orwell do a power squat! Heavy Truck!
looks like orwell is feeling his load safe travels
Hey Steve, I was just looking at Orwell when you dropped your trailer and hook back up to it back your fifth wheel plate jump up going towards forward from the back check your fifth wheel plate
Hope you have a safe trip!
back in my early truck driving tankers for amoco oil , had a coe BROCKWAY 10 speed, back then early 70s didnt need any cdl or any haz. endorsememnts or any thing , just a drivers license and be breathing
I wonder if that Brockway didn't happen to have a 2-stroke Detroit under the doghouse.
Now, this nation has turned to Paranoia Nation. Got to have special licenses for everything ! Is getting a bit ridiculous 😮😮😢😢😢😢😢
Nice big load. You got this handled.
Looking and sounding good 👍
love the sound of orwell
Love those Jakes and Stacks
Steve no hate at all brother. You need a lowboy trailer with the gas powered hydraulic system to remove the gooseneck. This is not a hate comment at all but that’s a lot of work that you are doing. I respect you for doing what you got to do and making money with an old truck.
41 looks rough ,Orwell is sounding good safe trip.
It is. Have been up and down that route plenty of times with dry vans and reefers 😊
If your exhaust stacks are a known height, why not just get a laser level mounted to the stack point and the load then measure off that. Easier than using that tape bending every little kink.
Good rainy evening brother
Them chains are just on for looks 😂I’d have a stroke putting a load like that 😂
Hello Steve. Watching from Eastern North Carolina
Great content Steve…keep up the great work 👍👍👍👍👍
Good job steve❤❤❤
Love the sound of that big ol' Cat.
I see after you fixed orwell she still rolls old school coal awesome video
Good job Steve
Im a truck driver in the Netherlands, i love seeing how yall do it in the us
Just a bit oldfashioned system of having to uncouple the trailer to take the tension of the pins which (manually) release/secure the gooseneck.
And propping up the gooseneck with a large block of wood.
Those sliding bars up to the fifth wheel and the back part of the tractor chassis take quite a beating this way.
Nice that over here we have goosenecks with that release, level and such with hydraulics and don't have to be uncoupled/coupled up again.
I could watch Orwell send smoke all day long
Also, did Orwell used to have a roof wing? Don't know why I'm just noticing the bracket on top of the cab
@@jbhfarming5913 Yes he did, back when he was owned by Keen Trucking in PA.
Awesome video there's always Steve. Touch longer would have been nicer just getting settled in listen to the home of Orwell and all of a sudden is over.
You would think that whoever builds these fire trucks, they would set it up that everything above the top of the truck should be disconnected for easier transport.
I missed out in viewing some of your recent videos (within my normal 24 hours or less from their scheduled drop time) because my ole cellphone died. Both of those engine repair jobs that you did on Orwell (before MATS) made a definite difference in the sound quality coming out of his pipes under a load.
Ótimo trabalho cara
The bark out of those stacks is awesome . Alot more chrisp . You can hear each cylinder fire .now thats old school cool .Denis from santa rosa ca
Need words on-screen, please. Have a safe trip!
4:50 must be the pitch of that area, but Orwell looks badass in that stance!
Great job Orwell
Steve, I want to say first, Thanks for another cool video! Screw the haters ! oh, could you lower the air ride on those oversized loads to get the height under? I know you can do it on some Military vehicles.
Brother keep it trucking
Great Job 👍👍 Best regards from Germany
Are y’all planning on doing the Michigan railroad again this year in Clinton Michigan
Always.
That CAT sounds great 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Beautiful trucks ❤❤❤❤❤
Nice.
Sounds good
Orwell seems to have his old get up and go.
Great rooftop camera position!!!
Like how u got tape measure out. How about when they repave. Thats gotta restrict ur route
Not at 14 ft.
That’s one weird looking fire truck!!
It's meant for airports, not municipalities
It's built to fly across airports to put out burning planes. They can hit 100 mph easily.
Wow that thing takes up the entire trailer and an older cabover is hauling it what a sight this is
Nice video!😊👍
Orwell sounds back to nornal and smokes like it used to. Congrats. on fixing it.
How do you find your loads..???…Do you run under your own authority..???…I’m an O/O in household goods and aging out of this racket in HhG. I’d like to know a few operational details if you can. I run a 1986 Kenworth Cabover K100E….444 Cummins with an 18 speed Eaton Fuller Roadranger…Bryan Maxwell…United Vanlines O/O…van operator since 1986…🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
He leases through Weidmeyer Express. He's not under his own authority like Chad Keegan or Tim Gentry. However, he might have to change some things up when he gets a second rig up and running with a driver in it. He's talked about whether they should be tied to him or leased through Weidmeyer like he is. He hasn't fully elaborated yet as he's only running "Orwell" for now.
Yes, Weidmeyer Express. North Central Wisconsin area, contracts with Oshkosh, Pierce, Kohler(generators), and MB, plus whatever industrial and farm equipment they can find. That and a handful of customers that buy auction vehicles and used industrial gear on the regular, plus test gear for power plants.
Hey Steve great videos don’t know if you got a new go pro or not but some of your shots are hard to see and pixelated
@@jamesboltzjr8217
Steve does the pixelation to hide his shop address so he doesn't get unwanted visitors and stalkers.
Very cool
truck has, a very strong engine in it. 👈👀👀👺👍
Watching this late from Greensboro North Carolina
That truck of yours looks like it's leaning to the right. That Fire Truck is not overweight, It weighs what it weighs.
I came across your channel by chance.
I didn't understand much of what you were saying (my English isn't that good) but the video was still interesting for me. Nice summary of the sequences.
I really like your truck, it's very rare to see something like this in Germany. We have the most boring trucks in the world.
Maybe you can activate the subtitles on your videos so I can understand what you're saying, that would be great.👍
Greetings from Germany
Stephan
Wow, getting under that load seems to be tough on the equipment…..
Those type of low beds are just like. Hydraulic would be ideal but much more if it’s broke don’t fix it I geuss right.
It’s not a load of bubble wrap 🤡
Yes, a bit tall. But not like that yacht move you helped with.
should make a visit to the dixie boy truck stop lol
I’d bet James Pretty wishes he could heave truck tires around like you do. 👍
What makes you think he doesn't?
@@fsctrucking
I love your videos. Truckers keep America Rollin. 🇺🇸 👍
Oh yeah. Gucci!!!!
Steve--Boy_I like how you take pride in your craft-the hook ups and such. Boy-those chains are pretty old--I haven't seen that kind of hook in many years. Look bigger than 1//2"-maybe 5/8" ?? See they still got he metal certifaction tags still hanging on--that is a rarity also. Keep her safe, man--lottsa crazies out here. So easy for things to go wrong.
Hello bro...i like your job.....I AM FROM SUMATRA INDONESIA
Now I see why so many people hate mechanicals that looks like such a pain
I know i said it before about Orwell needing new polished wheels on the back but i want to make a suggestion for a kick ass video - Orwell needs a full day at the spa! polished wheels all the way around, polished tanks, full buff and polished cab, new flaps and chrome hangers. . I mean orwell is the face/mascot of FSC (no offense Steve) and he needs to go down the road with some bling and polish. What a great idea for a video - ORWELL GETS A DAY AT THE SPA! Maybe cost you 1k for day of polish and some goodies. You can pay me later for the video idea Steve-o :)
Growing up here in New England there were some heavy haulers here and I was always amazed what size loads and equipment they hauled. Would a laser measuring tool help on the height measurements ? Thanks for the video and a salute to you Heavy Haulers !!!
You should look at the New K22 Kenworth Cabover released hear in australia they are Nice Rig
Hi Steve watching you drag out the big block of wood and put it under the deck when you break down the trailer I was wondering if you couldn’t do what the people who run frameless dump trailers do by putting bar or heavy wall pipe under the fifth wheel too keep it from tipping they are easy too put in and take out when not needed
Steve;you make some great videos.Thanks
Nice❤
You can buy a hight stick for the truck saves climbing up
Let some air out of the strikers tires and tighten the chains back down
Steve, can you drop the air ride on the fire truck before you tie it down to save on height?🤔
شحص جيد يتقن عمله 👍 موفق صديقي
