That house was the most impeccable restoration I have ever seen on here. With that said- I have one teeny weeny criticism: The kitchen. Seemed like an afterthought. Must not be foodies. Gorgeous gorgeous property!!!!
The fridge situated behind the work surface would drive me nuts. Obviously not planned by a cook. It’s easy enough to reconfigure it though. Lovely house. ☺️
When I was at school here in Australia and kids were being naughty they were punished by being put on emu patrol. Emu patrol was walking around the school yard picking up rubbish usually at lunch time so naturally they were teased while patrolling. I think we should put all litterers on emu patrol. Welcome back. A very beautiful home. My daughter lives in a community where everyone has 26 solar panels on their roof and many other saving features. My grandson has an electric car. We seriously have to work toward loving our planet more and this is a beginning.
Love it. The cognoscenti know that panels & batteries pay for themselves very quickly in Italy given the price of Electricity. Ours paid for themselves in just 3 years. Trucked in Gas services are also absolutely excellent, economical and predictable. Being off-grid - with no public utility company to deal with - is a very good thing.
Love your one stop tours felt bereft on Sunday as forgot your hols! Glad your back. All the houses you have shown have been fab but there is something extra fabulous about this one! Thank you

Thanks for another great video rummage, Nick. Really like seeing you at the beginning and end, too. Nice addition! This is a lovely place, and with solar and a deep water well, too. Not to mention 12 hectares of land! As another person commented, the only thing I didn’t love was the layout of the kitchen, but you can’t live everything about a place (and the kitchen is certainly adequate). The buyer could always change the layout to suit them, if it is super important to them. Thanks as always! And thanks also for being an advocate for appreciating and caring for all life on our incredible planet! Appreciated the caring speech about no littering! I would add to that: “please scoop your dogs’ poop!” I was always surprised by how much is on sidewalks in some Italian cities…and in other places, too.

Well said about the Ostuni rubbish I live here since I left the UK 5 years ago, is a big issue and the comune is neither good to resolve the problems, now the heat is gone is around 26with breeze. This house is so stunning very well decorated and not huge I love the kitchen so similar to one I had in the UK, the only fault I could find but easy to fix need a bathtub!

And an anamizing view, from the pool and the terrace too. Thats is an splendid, luxury and fine restoration. Excelent job. What a Kitchen, I love it, is not about the size, is the taste, absolutly charmy. The master bedroom on suite is stunnig. At last, this is a confortable and special house. Thanks Nick, nice job. Suppose this will work for the right person, it is quite nicely redone, although for me a bit snug in places. However, seems like a lovely spot for being away. And by the way ... loved the garbage in the street rant, and the humorous dusty car/beautiful property comment was cracking me up. Not only is it 'off-grid', and comes with a ton of land, it has clearly been restored by someone who knows what they are doing (I say this as a professor of interior design). It's odd that this time you aren't very effusive - a low score on the umm/gorgeous indicator - I wonder why.

I have a question. Since the house is on its own electric system can the electric be reduced from 220 to 110? If we move back to Italy from the US I would prefer to keep my electronic equipment without using those awful step-down transformers so a home with a system like this appeals to me. Thanks, Charles

@@italianproperty doesn't surprise me that they're installing more panels. Need at least 7 kw panels to run everything they've got, I think. I have an off grid cottage in the US with 1800w panels, and it's not enough to run a fraction of what they've got. Generator backup is nice and works well (I haven't used mine in over a year). There's definitely a lifestyle adjustment with that setup, but if I can do it, anyone can, especially in a gorgeous house like that! Still, a pellet or wood burning system for heat and hot water would make it perfect!

Ah, the double standards! Nick, there is plenty of trash on the side of the road in many parts of the Merton Council where I live in London. I have recently seen lovely Richmond full of trash. But then rubbish is collected twice a month in the UK, so most places do not look pristine at all. You probably don't go too much outside Hampstead. Or maybe fashionable Cotswolds?

I think they’re creepy & another disgusting thing to clean. They make fabulous toilet seats that are plumbed for bidet. You don’t need another bowl to clean.

Nick, another great tour, another stunning dwelling, this one I really do like. My wife and I will be in Italy renting in four years, looking for an ideal property to buy and if you are about then, maybe you can assist us in our search?
What a lovely house, I could live there, I'd want to set up a big veg growing area. But if I had one criticism, it would have, to be the kitchen, as a chef this kitchen is not particularly good, and especially in a country where food is a religion in it's own right. I would want a big kitchen well equipped and laid out, a big pantry to store all of my preserved foods from the garden etc and a separate utility room with additional food/freezer storage especially as it's location is somewhat remote.
Well another rustic place in the middle of nowhere. Not really to far out but definitely isolated. I wouldn't want any boars showing up at my pool either. But I would want any bores that show up to fall in and drown accidentally. Lol Are those solar panels out there adequate to power the whole house? Didn't seem like enough. They did a good job of restoration. Those stairs to the first floor looked a little scary.

Hello, Nick. I thoroughly enjoy your in-depth videos of these stellar properties in Italy. But I must say, as an American who lives in a historic industrial loft with 22ft ceilings (and 16ft windows), the ceiling heights in many of these houses seem incredibly low to the point of being palpably claustrophobic. Could you give the dimensions in some of your future vlogs? Great job as usual, though. All the best from North Carolina.
Lovely house, but the kitchen/dining room is NOT a practical layout. Who would want to carry food from two rooms away? Personally, I would have put the kitchen where the dining room is, and have that office space be the dining room. Having to maneuver through the kitchen, and then the entry hall to the dining room with food is just not something that I would enjoy. Nope. Lovely home, though, truly.
Trash on the side of the roads in Puglia??? (I am from Puglia)....it's a total, total disgrace! People should need to get their hands chopped off for doing that! Total disrespect for whatever is not within their four walls, typically abhorrent South of Italy's mindset!

I would want a big kitchen well equipped and laid out, a big pantry to store all of my preserved foods from the garden etc and a separate utility room with additional food/freezer storage especially as it's location is somewhat remote.

But I must say, as an American who lives in a historic industrial loft with 22ft ceilings (and 16ft windows), the ceiling heights in many of these houses seem incredibly low to the point of being palpably claustrophobic.

Lovely house, but the kitchen/dining room is NOT a practical layout. Who would want to carry food from two rooms away? Personally, I would have put the kitchen where the dining room is, and have that office space be the dining room. Having to maneuver through the kitchen, and then the entry hall to the dining room with food is just not something that I would enjoy. Nope. Lovely home, though, truly.
