I live by fort myers beach and its season for sharks now and there already been 2 attacks in a week one guy losing his leg sadly i dive iv been bumped by sharks before i was diving water wasn’t clear little visibility and i saw a massive shark head come out of no were I thought it was gonna bite my head off I calmly swam to shore and got out it also sucks there was a boat and i told them what was happening they laughed because they thought i was joking around

@@flyingdutchdan great whites can roll their eyes back. other sharks have some kind of protection layer to cover and protect their eyes.
so attacking their eyes won't do anything really.
and you don't want to hit the nose because already touching the nose usually triggers the shark to open its mouth.
and in worst case you'll end up losing your hand or arm because of that.
hitting the gills would be the best choice (after the Face/ Guide / Push / Move method failed to work) because that's what sharks do to eachother whenever they fight. they go for the gills.

You may be 1 of those people whom think this will never happen to you . Well it happened to me twice .It could happen to anyone .
This is the steps I took to survive.
Step 1 when a shark locks in on you don't turn your back on it ! Don't swim neither .stay in your space !
Step 2 sharks are no different than other predators , they will be wary of something willing to fight to avoid injuries . Very slowly show your weapons . Slow controlled movements , NOT flailing , throw punches and kicks displaying your weapons while you stare it down .
Step 3 Sharks can hear vibrations . While your displaying your fighting technique , growl and show your teeth . When the shark comes in to bite hit it on its nose as hard as you can , if it keeps to trying to bite , gouge at its eyes while staying to the side of it .
Step 4 climb into its back if it keeps fighting you , hold onto it's fin with one hand , laying your full body onto it's back so do you don't fall off . With your other hand , pound the side of it's head bear their ear . And keep growling .
Step 5 At this point the shark will become terrified and try to escape . You'll feel it trying to wiggle and get away . It's important that once it swims off you stay on guard in case it tries you again.
Step 6 when it looks back at you to see where your at , stay in the fighting position displaying those fighting techniques again . This will let it know your just getting warmed up and ready to go at it again if he dares to try .

In reality a shark won't be standing still in front of you and allow itself to be your punching bag. Only in movies where sharks are easily punched.
No human urin/blood or whatever will get sharks near you..
Also don't hit him, makes him more angry. Just wave some water in direction to the gills.
Also if you see the shark, he's not angry. A shark attack mostly comes straight up from deep water in a kinda vertical way.
Also stay vertical if you see one, they don't know this position.
The most sensitive parts of a shark's body are NOT!!! nose and eyes.
That only makes a shark angry. Poking the shark on the gills, or slapping it lightly, is a good idea.
You stand a better chance at counting each and every teeth on the shark's jaw than reaching to touch gills during an attack.

As a spearo i dont see sharks as much as a threat and it is proven that human pee and blood will not exite the shark as much as what other animals pee and blood does and the rest is pretty much common sense and remember sharks are like bees they are not out there to attack you they will only attack if provoked i hope i helped some people ✌🏽

I survived a vicious shark attack from a Tiger Shark , it got me good.

Don't forget to tear its' tail so it won't swim toward you (that's if you got enough time to do so). You could use something very bright especially at night to blind the shark due to their good vision. You can use a spear since it could help keep your distance from the shark due to the fact that it's long and sharp. Lastly, don't put your back on them.

From my real life experience. Staying still is useful but you still can swim but with calm and no big splashes... and even when you are swimming away trying to go to shore keep your eyes on the shark as it try to ambush you... if the shark already face to face against you than make yourself look big and look prepared for a fight that the shark won't have you as a free meal without a fight. Thats how i survived and managed to get back on boat. The dumb thing i do is that time i go for solo freediving and keep taking video even the shark at feasting already shown sign of aggresion and have around 100m distance from my boat.
Oh yeah even if you have a knife or speargun its for your last stand. Dont try shooting the shark first. It will only make them more agressive. I survived without it i only bring my UW compact camera that day

One time I went swimming with my mom at a beach I was bleeding a little and I was a little scared of a shark appearing but she convinced me to swim anyways so about 25-30 mins later we're all swimming and I noticed a fin in the water and I started panicking so I ran out of the water and almost cried as I'm a child and I was very scared but then we realized the fins were dolphins never thought i would see dolphins

Menstruation does attract sharks as it does other fish. Also Cologne can attract sharks and most fish are attracted to strong scents, but it must be noted sharks equally repelled by scents as well. Sharks are well documented to flee from the scent of dead shark. This is actually common of most but not all animals in nature including insects. Kill an ant and once the scent of that dead ant is picked up by his fellow ants, they will immediate freak out and retreat. Sharks actually will do the same. The scent of a dead shark incurs that a dominate predator is in the vicinity, causing the rest to immediate retreat. Its also to be noted their really exist's shark repellent sold on the market, a can of dead shark, once released into the water and sharks will flee.

Yes, of course. People keep making sharks out to be hostile horrible creatures. Sharks will ony attack you if you're annoying it or thrashing around, they don't just attack randomly. You're more likely to get killed by lightning than you are with a shark.
