Can confirm. Saw a Bengal tiger from 10 feet away in a Zoo. Couldn't believe what I was looking at. My eyes were wide open. Massive beast.

@@suryaprakash18ms Yeah but even if one of the hunters die it is extremely unlikely that the tiger leaves the area alive. And if it sneaks up and kills a human a group of hunter will always pursue and kill the beast. Just because an animal has occasionally killed humans it doesn't make us prey on a larger scale. There are plenty of prey who have injured or killed carnivores, even if we haven't recorded a gazelle killing a cheetah yet.
Humans stopped being prey once we developed intelligence, tools and our social structure. In fact we became the apex predator.

This series is absolutely BRILLIANT in every aspect of production from content and research to film footage, narration and even episode length. Unlike the majority of wildlife survival documentaries which are excessively lengthy, overly repetitive, poorly researched and out of date content, each episode of this series is efficient and straight to the point without sacrificing quality of content. It is perfect for folks like me with busy, hectic schedules and short attention spans lol. My only gripe? Metric units of measurement lol. It's been over 40 years since I last had to be familiar with converting kilograms to miles lol; perhaps the inclusion of a side bar in the upper corner of the screen containing the metric conversions would be most welcomed😂

Tigers are solitary and elusive animals that avoid confrontations whenever possible. By maintaining eye contact with a tiger, you are showing the animal that you are aware of its presence and are not a vulnerable target. There was a show on discovery, it was about tigers in Nepal. A local person was telling a incident about two friends fishing in river , a tiger attacked one of them and killed him, and the other person died of heart attack at the same time. It's a really scary thing to die from the fear of an animal.

There have been people eaten by wild tigers in Indonesia. The last time I remembered took place in the island of Sumatra, an old woman working at a palm tree garden was eaten by a wild tiger, her condition was terrible, found dead without her leg. I find that living in the UK has been moderately successful in surviving a tiger attack. This is also my main method of surviving any komodo dragon, cobra, and duck-billed platypus attacks.

@@danielnguyen3469 All Felines have identical traits. They don't know how to show fear. If a cat (big or small) decides to run away, it's either plotting or thinking the fight isn't worth the risk.
Perfect example is that one video where an alligator gets stared down by a house cat and alligator actually backed off after a slap right to the face. Alligator can ofcourse kill a house cat, but the reason it decided to retreat was because it couldn't sense any fear from the tiny animal.

I am a survivor . I am a local here in corbett so I was walking outside the gate from which the jeeps enter. I thought I was familiar so I'll just go and stand outside the gate. After 30 minutes I heard a call . A huge one . Me being foolish looked the other direction as I didn't know where the tiger was. I thought it may be inside . Suddenly I heard something . I got frightened . I wasn't sure what to do. I had my back on it. The tiger leaped and grabbed me by my leg . Then it was getting ready to grab me by my neck. But being near the gate the forest guards came eventually and somehow made the tiger go away
. But I still have a lot of scars and can't walk properly. Mainly I do not even go near the forest now . I only go to school and back . I never go out.

I was once very proactive in defending myself from a tiger attack.
I live in england and one day a few years ago i decided against going for a backpacking holiday in thailand where tigers lived. I went to scotland instead to drink whiskey in the highlands.
And i lived happily ever after.

I have a 4 month old cat who already is extremely agile and can jump almost 2-3 feet vertical and so precise at catching a ball being thrown at her. And that's just a baby cat. Imagine a fully grown housecat how fast and strong it is. Now imagine that cat 100 times larger, a freaking tiger. It's like an animal with the speed and strength of a fictional vampire we see in movies. Unbelievable how nature developed these big cats physical prowess.
We humans are so lucky to have our intelligence, otherwise we all would still be on the menu. You are right, it's amazing how strong and fast a tiny housecat is, hard to imagine this scaled up to a tiger

I live in West Bengal, my mother used to tell me stories of honey farmers in the Sunderbans who would wear masks on the back of their head to prevent tigers from attacking as the tigers are hardwired to always attack from behind. She also told me that sometimes a tiger would swim underwater, rise to surface, grab a sleeping man from the boat and the tiger was so fast and stealthy that others would not notice a person missing until later.

You wont survive a tiger attack, a tiger's prank, maybe.
U can also increase your chance of escaping if you have a big cloth or something of that sort to throw on the tiger & disable its vision for a while. Provided you dont panic too much and somehow manage to throw it correctly on the tiger so that it cant take its face out & see u

The part a about tigers not being able to climb trees is completely wrong. Tigers are actually great climbers and can easily climb a tree. They dont do it that often but you need to be one hell of a climber to be faster at climbing a tree than a tiger. And even if he couldnt climb you would still need to climb a good amount in the tree because tigers can jump extremely high.

@@Turtleback8024 uhh, Have you *seen* a tiger? They love climbing tree, maybe not as frequent as leopards, but they're one of the best climber in big cats family despite their weight and size. The only poor climber in big cats family is Lion, granted they're far less agile and flexible than their other cousins.
That's why there's a saying in my country, if you earned a tiger's interest, pray it's not hungry. Climbing tree is futile, swimming is futile, as tigers could do both and you are not necessarily faster than them.

you can't outrun a Tiger. climb a tree as high as you can, tigers may climb tree but they won't go too high. remember they are very heavy and they won't risk falling off a tree that can injure or even kill them. climbing a tree is the most logical way to escape

I saw a video from a zoo in Louisiana giving their tiger a whole prepared turkey on Thanksgiving, with 1-2 bites you could hear all the bones in the turkey cracking and snapping like weak wood (it was a gruesome sound, and utterly terrifying). Their jaws will just crush their prey in many cases.

Two men in a nearby village where I live found they were stalked by a tiger. One guy quickly climbed up a tree and distracted the tiger from attacking his friend. Everyone were told that tigers don't climb trees and thought they could not get up a tree. Well it was half true and soon the guy realised the tiger could just jump up the tree at him from the ground. He did saved his friend though, at the cost of his life.

According to his friend, he had climbed a tree but that tiger just straight up launched itself 20 (in internet it show they can jump upto 12-¹5 feet but I have no idea what possessed this one) feet up at him from the ground. I've been both terrified and fascinated by them ever since. being the biggest of the big cats is one thing, but yeeting yourself up 12-¹5 feet up from the ground with that bodyweight is something on another level.

In case of tiger attacks most victims don't even get a chance to react as tigers are very stealthy. There are incidents where people around the victim didn't actually understand that their mate is gone untill its too late.
