Thanks. Don't worry about my getting big-headed or anything. I'll always be the goofy person I've always been. The biggest challenge comes from all the hot women just throwing themselves at me when they recognize me. :-) Wait a minute, maybe that was just from a dream I had. Yeah, I think that was just in a dream. Sorry. :-)

I bought a Glock 26 and I love how simple and versatile it is. I'm a retired Police Officer and the Glock 26 is one of the departments choice for off duty carry.

@Bles Davis not good
its kind of scary how good of a shot Hickok is and how fast he can get on target.
He just get lots of practice. lol. He knows where to aim. Nice video Hickock.
He is just a boss all around lol

He's pretty good, but have you ever seen a competitive shooter speed shoot?

My first Glock was a G26 and I regret selling it. I only did so to move to a slightly larger model, the G19. Although it fits my hand much better I wish I would have kept my G26 because I could have just gotten a grip extension for it and used G19 magazines and kept the same gun. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE my G19 but I really liked the versatility of that tiny G26 with the way you could adapt it into different configurations (grip, mags, etc).
Live and learn . . .
Get another one there everywhere
And you can swap the barrel out and it turns into a G27. Super badass lil gun.
I’m looking to get one this week, I looked into attachments beforehand and some forums it seems like one of those guns that will grow on anyone that loves subcompact or pistols in general. I can’t wait. Ordered the attachments first lol
I miss my G17. Kept my silencer barrel for it tho. I edc my G26.
The Glock 27 to me is the most versatile model of all the Glocks because you have the option of using a variety of barrel lengths and magazines. Several firearms in one lol
Wife has the 26 I got the 27 both great guns.
Dumb…I am a man so I got the 27…now you don’t have ammo and magazine compatibility with the wife
@@vinnier6what the hell are you talking about? It’s not hard to find 40 s&w rounds at all plus you’re talking about one less round like that’s a big deal especially the fact that the 40 is putting things down more effectively and he can change the barrel in the 27 and convert it into a 9mm anytime.
@@vinnier6calling another man dumb for having a 27 is fuckin wild lmao
@@vinnier6the compatibility is only a barrel conversion away 😉 Glock 27 is the way to go
I disagree GLOCKS are beautiful gotta remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder
for real a glock is just beautiful in its minimalistic design
@Bob Ross Or maybe you are.
Bob Ross: My late father-in-law was fond of saying something like there's no accounting for taste. We all look at things differently, and we have our own unique aesthetic sense.
@OmarISY yep I didn't buy a Glock to look cool I bought it cause it goes bang every time. It's the ak 47 of pistols
Honestly to me it doesn't matter what it looks like If it's reliable continues to work and has aftermarket options it's a win for me!
Great vid as usual. G27 is my carry choice. I prefer one less .40 round than carrying 9mm. If you're a new shooter all it takes is practice. Very controllable for a "small" gun.
I shot my buddies Glock 27 I agree. 9 mil is really not a big caliber only benefit is high capacity. But these are sub compacts so capacity is out. Id rather have the 40. Recoil ain't too bad

My Glock 27 was just ordered today. Living here in California, I am now enjoying my 10 waiting period, to be able to hold the newest addition to my family.
And yes, as with others, all the above, it was influenced by Hickok45. I don’t have the option to try them before purchasing. I figure if this man gives the approval, thats good for me.
My wife, She’s not as understanding yet. But I’m working on it. Hopefully she will move back home soon, so She can see the wonderful additions, simply by watching such educational videos😂😂
@@j.a.g2896 they will fit between 9mm, and 40s&w. But in order to switch from a 9mm to a 40, you would need to change out the entire top end assembly, along with the extractor. To switch from 40 to 9mm, you can get an after market conversion barrel. Going down is much easier, than going up in Caliber.
Waiting period is a bitch
I don't buy a gun anymore unless hickock45 approves! I went with a 26 last year and it is truly perfection. Then I went with a 32 gen 4 which I also love. I will now be getting a 27. I also bought a stealthgear holster for my 32 and it carries and conceals as well as my baby glock. I even picked up a bond arms ranger 2. What a beast that triple ooo buckshot is. I've learned so much in the past year since I found your channel. The most important lesson I've learned and truly believe now is Glock is the way to go! Thanks hickock!

Carried the Glock 22 for the last several years. Ordered a Glock 27 Gen 4 today. I like the 40 cal round. Thank you for a great video.
Yay! G26 and G27 are his favorite guns. That means for the rest of us mere mortals, we can't go wrong with either as a primary gun let alone a back up. I love my G26. Only thing I changed was I put a set of Ameriglo i dot sights on it and of course added a custom back plate.
@SlowMOtionPotion816
I've used a G27 as a carry gun for a few years now and I love it.
I just picked up the Lone Wolf Conversion barrel (to 9mm) from Cheaper than Dirt and it works great. It's like getting a G26 for about $130 (barrel's around $100 and I picked up a 9mm mag). Since 9mm ammo's cheaper than .40 cal, I should actually save money in the end.
Get the G27 & the Lone Wolf barrel and you'll have the best of both worlds!
My first gun is a G19. I got a G26 for Christmas. Honestly, I like shooting the 26 as much and maybe more than the 19. Not sure why but I agree! Love my 26!
Love Hickok, dude lives the life.
nice video. you are by far the best gun reviewer on the youtube in my opinion. i have fired the glock 27 .40 cal and i dont care for the small grip to much however it did feel pretty good after a mag or two. I dont have a problem with the recoil from the .40 i guess because im used to shooting .45 acp. great video thanks again.
I've always been impressed with Hickok's shooting skill with these "Baby Glocks". I've always said that he can drive nails with these guns. Amazing!
Especially with his Big Mitts!!
You sir are a damn good shot. I used to carry the Model 33 .357 Sig when I lived in Alaska, and have just moved to Las Vegas where I think I'll go with a 26 for every day carry in warm weather attire. Thanks for all the great videos!
Just turn your computer around on the desk and quit complaining. :-)
I bought G22 gen4 recently for home defense as my first ever firearm because of your review, and I am extremely happy with my g22. I am now looking into a primary conceal carry handgun, and this video is very informative just like your others. I will definitely be buying a new firearm in the near future, and this video at least helped me narrow down my decision to these two glocks. Thanks a lot for all your help!
I always say its best to try stay in same caliber and also 9 rounds of 40 is better than 10 rounds of 9mm
Love your vids Hickok! You sold me on the G26 for CCW. thanks

Good vid, this is a subject that come up between myself and a friend. Just read an article by a very well known handgun expert who to his surprised found that he could shoot better with Glock 26 versus the Glock 17. He learned that the shorter barrel took less time to focus on the next shot. He started doing better in matches with the shorter barrel too.
I too am a handgun expert, and I disagree with your friends statement. Shorter barrels make a gun less accurate, not more.
@@yesimanexpertonthistopic8035 Shoot better is not the same as more accurate. He's saying he is faster back on target with the shorter sight radius.
I just switched from an xd40 to the glock 27,so much more comfortable for conceal carry
I would get the 27 and buy an aftermarket change barrel for 9mm and a magazine. You have the best of both worlds for a small price!!!
You throw more lead than a minigun, Hickok. Keep these videos coming, we all appreciate them!
thanks for the review, just purchased G27, love the power in a compact
You know, it was my older son who sold me on a Glock. But I must say after buying a Glock 17 and shooting it I was sold. I then rented a Glock 26 at the range and was very surprised how shot-able it was. So, now I carry a Glock 26. You are so right in liking a Glock function and use. Still love my 1911's or wheel guns.
Just bought a model 27 for concealed carry. I felt the need for more knock down power with todays increasing crime. I lost a little faith in my 380 cal. Pocket pistol.
Thank you hickok45 for demonstrating what happens when you pull the trigger and the gun goes click instead of bang. I haven't ever seen that happen at the range before, and that was really helpful to have seen/experienced.
I wanted to give u a big thanks for the baby Glock videos. I have watched them countless times in the past few weeks trying to decide if i wanted to buy one, from all the horror stories that are on the internet about the "Glock Grenade"... I ended up buying the Gen 3 Glock 27, and put 200 rounds down range sat, and love it!! Your video as well on cleaning the Glock was very helpful as well!!
Hickok, brother your the best...got a G4 19. But now I gotta have a 26
Have the Glock 27 myself...nice that its compact but....you have
to accept that you make tradeoffs. However, its small enough you
will probably have it when needed.1st rule in a gunfight,,,have a
gun !
what are tradeoffs
The ONLY guy I look to for advice, information, been watching Hickok45 for years, and always will, the best out there, honest, entertaining, and very straightforward information, thanks hickok45.
Love to watch Hickok45! If new to fire arms and learning about them? Good place to come an receive knowledge. Professor Hickok45 sounds gud!
@1slippery2, Glock might call the G30 and G29 subcompacts, but they are much heavier and somewhat larger than these two Baby Glocks.
@Mrbowgod, They would be the same; I was just not shooting as well with the G27. For some reason, the ammo was really printing higher than I remembered. It must have been the ammo, or else the fact that it had just rained and the air was about 99% water. That's all I can figure. See my accuracy video - they are all more accurate than we are, so it's all human error.
Thanks Hickok45! I now own the 26. I have the 19 and 21 as well. Besides Springfield Armory and Sig Sauer I am now looking at the HK VP9 SK. Thanks for the great reviews!!
just ended up watching this video again for some reason. Hickok helped me pick out my G26 over a year ago, and im still happy using this as my CCW gun.
Love my 27, but the grip is a little too short. I like to deep appendix carry and there isn't enough grip with the flush magazines to quickly and reliably draw. It is a hell of a shooter though.
I own and carry the Gen 4 Glocks 27,23, and 19. The 27 is my favorite by far for range time, and my 23 is my go to CCW. I load them both with 180 HST. The 19 is also an excellent shooting weapon, however, I don't feel as confident carrying the 147& 124HST even though they are fully capable self-defense loads.
if you like the 27 at the range, then why the 23 for carry?
Why not g27 for ccw since its uhh kind of made for that reason... looks to me the longer barrel would be much more enjoyable at the range.
Because that’s what the man likes. Why don’t y’all carry a beretta nano? Or do you?
Civilian #72583119 ... what’s wrong with the Beretta Nano?
Now there’s a man that likes his Glocks. Can’t decide which one to get so you just get em all huh?
THANK YOU for accurately showing the recoil differences. And all the characteristics for that matter. LOVE all your videos but this one in particular since I'm going between a 27 or 26 for carry. I feel confident the 26 is for me now. Many thanks!! AWESOME CHANNEL!!!

I've been waiting for this duel! Thank's Hickok45.
Thanks so much for this video. I feel better about my Glock 26 purchase, than I did. I originally wanted the Glock 27 for stopping power...But then this tragedy in Connecticut happened, and my local gun shop had a '26, and said that they didn't know when a '27 could be ordered...I will try to get a G17 mag, 'cause that looked fun!

My 30S is my favorite Glock too. 19x runner-up because it’s harder to conceal.
I love my G27. it's my primary carry gun. It is a fantastic firearm. Great Video!
Say more about the G27, please !
@hickok45 Thanks for making this great video. IMO, the .40S&W is a bit too powerful (recoil) in a subcompact package. I find the 9mm is the perfect chambering in a pistol that I can hold onto only with two fingers. I agree with everything you said about the G26. Very shootable! Love it. Got my G23 for the big 'ol .40 blast! Keep making great videos. We luv ya!
Just bought a gen 5 27 and I’m so bummed there is no backwards compatibility like with the gen 3/4. Trading it in asap.

That is true. For me personally I wouldn't carry with the aftermarket barrel.

You are spot on once again on the baby Glock's. I have a gen 3 G27 and it is a fantastic piece. The size, weight and firepower that it has are perfect for CCW. I also use the G27 with shot loads when I run the chain saw for copper heads and cotton mouth snakes. Thanks again Hickok45
I've currently been waiting for my LTC to arrive, but as soon as it does this is going to be my weapon of choice for concealed carry. Thank you for helping me make my decision!!!!
So tired of people saying oh the 40 cal is to snappy smh yall need to grow a pair
I have to agree with you. I rented a Model 27 at a local gun range just to see how "snappy" the .40 S&W cartridge was. I was so "put off" that I bought one as soon as I'd turned the range rental in. I love this gun. I have a Gen 2 Model 19, and a Gen 3 Model 30, and I prefer the 27 to either of those. I like them all, but I like the 27 just a bit more.
prefer 45 or 9mm - the 45 deffinitely for power. its more of a slow back push like launching a rocket. the 40 is a bit snappy unless you go with a good brand with proper recoil springs and recoil suppression / Ruger and Glock mute the snappy 40 issue. ruger does a better job. but you wont find a baby ruger in 40 :)
Thank you! For speaking for me!! Lol
God forbid if any of these whiners ever shoot a Magnum revolver!
It's not that a 40 sucks. 40 is a good round but... I think it is better in a carbine. Even Hickok can't fire that 27 nearly as fast as his 26 which for him will put out more damage per second than his 27 in the end. Also 9 is cheap to shoot. Also if you have smaller hands the 9 will just be more pleasant to shoot all around. With the right defense rounds a 9mm can get close to a fmj 45 for a very controllable platform. I also shoot 45s and prefer a heavier but steady push than a lighter yet snappier 40. All in user preference I guess. I used Hickoks videos and chose the 26.
I wonder how many rounds went through your G26 over the years? Has the barrel ever been changed?
Great video as usual. I was wondering, is your glock27 a gen4? The magazine release looks different, I wondered if the recoil is dampened more with the new spring compared to gen3 26?
I fall asleep every night to hickok45’s voice. Wake up every morning with another gun to purchase. Drives my wife crazy!

Don't want to lift you up to high as I appreciate your humility. So, please just continue to do what you do. It's a blessing and a help. Thanks!
made me smile when you put that G18-mag in the G26 :D
If you carry a glock 19 or 17 as your primary handgun, the glock 26 makes for the perfect backup gun.
I don't know about that, modern semi-autos are just as reliable maybe even more reliable than revolvers.
boomzilla86 revolvers can still jam by the bullets moving forward under recoil, the only difference is semi autos are a lot easier to clear a jam then revolvers.
+Justin Dana it all the revolvers i own i have never seen that happen or even talkabout that
Andrew h revolvers still malfunction, not all the time but it is possible, the difference between a revolver malfunctioning and a semi-auto malfunctions is a semi-auto can be cleared way faster than a revolver.
+Justin Dana i'm not saying they don't ive never had it happen, but the recoil causing the gun to jam is something i've never heard of
hickok love you for your honesty & yourgreat show man ,love you ❤️ ,
@RemMan700, Probably not. It doesn't mean much unless you benchrest the gun, and then it really needs to be in a Ransom Rest in order to tell you anything with certainty. Paper punching is pretty boring to me, which is why I shoot steel. You can tell pretty much where the bullet hits or if it misses.
Put a +1 mag extension on the 27.....much better control.
7:30 That's some crazy good shooting
On the job in the NYPD “ Stakeout Squad “ I carried a S&W model 10 and a snub model 10 as a backup and never needed more than 4 rounds in any shootout I was involved in but now I carry a Glock 27 and the gun on my nightstand is a S&W model 13

Lots of great photography on this one. Very interesting video. I have a Glock 19 for the 9 and bought the 27 for my first 40 based on your videos. I like both and carry both for different needs at times. If my burglar alarm went off I would be comfortable with either in my hand.
Your shooting was on Fire in this video! Now I understand your Glock love. I carry the M&P9c and love it. But I may move to the 27.Thank You for your videos. They are fantastic!
I have both before. But after having a lot of FTF on my G27, i finally sold it. G26 for me is more reliable, any kind of 9mm stock ammo-no malfunction at all.
i own a glock27 and i also bought a conversion barrel .40 to 9mm and so i get the best of both worlds. that way i save some money. instead of buying a glock 26 i just swap out the barrel and get .40 s&w ammo and 9mm ammo keeps some cash in my pocket and yet i still get to shoot both types of ammunition.
my philosophy is shoot smart and shoot straight :) GET SOME!
If you plan on carrying that 27 in 9mm, you really should change extractor, and ejector too.
Niq Howie somethin about that blazer ammo, just hangs up even in glock's crazy
(it's cheaper)
Bryan Calhoun Yeah, I try to stay away from blazer. even though i only had 1 incident. that barrel is only for fun. I use my 357 sig barrel with gold dots or corbon for personal defense.
+Niq Howie gold dot's or corbon you cannot go wrong either way good to go man..
is this based on experience Sean? I've heard many with experience say there is no need.
I love the Glock 27 but since I already have the Springfield XD40 Sub I am going to get the Glock 26
Greg, I really have to credit you with being the man who got me off the fence about Glocks. I never really "disliked" the design and unlike so many, I always thought it was a nice-looking gun. My only issue with the gun came to light when you were talking about how many people want to be "free-thinkers" and search for a gun that's more unique to avoid being a "sheep." You were so right, and I've since found myself openly admiring the design and wanting one for myself. Thanks for the wisdom!
Nice shooting. I think you should tune your targets so you could play music on them.
Always go with the 27 or 23 can always buy a 9 barrel for $110
so the .40 mags will load 15 9mm and feed reliably?
+.308or5.56? When you live in California does it really matter?
Col Ctu so does it cycle 9 ammo in the same clip?
For range use that may be suitable but I wouldn't recommend this for carry using just a 9mm barrel. Extractor in Glock 27/33 isn't 100% reliable with a 26 drop in barrel. Reliable enough for the range but I don't trust my life to hybrids such as that.
You can use the 40cal mags for 9mm but I wouldn't use them for defensive purposes.....at the range yes. But also....I've noticed that if you use the 40 cal mags for 9mm you have to use them at the beginning with 9mm, meaning brand new with never having a 40 round inserted. The feed lips need to seat. If you have a 40 cal mag that has had even one round inserted I it the 9mm rounds will pop out, I've tried it.
I Have A 23.. I Traded in my G19 For A G26 A While Back, I Like The 26 Better!! Go Figure..
why do you like the G26 better than the G19? I have a G27 but was thinkin of getting a G19 too
