Take a look at the video I shot of her first time with the bark collar. Turn up your sound so you can hear.
First Mocha barks and activates the spray. She immediately stops barking but continues to whine. It takes a bit, but the collar does spray one more time because of her whining. She then lays down and relaxes. One minute and 50 seconds, two sprays and she is calm… this beats hours and hours of barking and crying. I was told the collar can be overly sensitive, so it was recommended to me to place a piece of duck tape over the microphone.

For everyone saying how cruel it is, think about hiw helpful it is for dogs in heartworm treatment that need crate rest. My rescue had heartworm and didn't have time to be crate trained and this would have been awesome because a barking dog will have an elevated heart rate which is dangerous for heartworm positive dogs in treatment.

Most dogs enjoy the dopamine rush from barking so they'll do it all they want. It needs something that's less enjoyable to endure. They don't love you, they just love what you do for them. @@-demon_dog-8511dogs aren't humans. They're animals to be worked and they're to behave themselves as we command them to because we are their masters as made law by God. How on earth is any pet treated cruelly? They're ridiculously over pampered and have luxuries beyond the imagination of any wild animal. In your garden right now there will be animals of some description suffering but because they're not pets and you're a massive hypocrite you won't care. It's absolutely everywhere. They get no vet treatment, no rescue and let me tell you, in the wild, pack creatures don't tolerate stupid behaviours. Any wild dog or wolf that doesn't conform to the rules of the pack is attacked until it learns and if it won't learn, it is abandoned to die. So tell me again how putting them in a soft lined crate with toys food and water and expecting them to have some basic respect for having all their needs met is cruel 🙄

Simple answer is to put something on in the background. The dog is responding to you leaving the room,so put the radio on while you`re in the room, and leave it on when you go out.How long is she left in that cage?I`m assuming, and hoping it`s not for too long.

    • @teucer4

You are correct, it did go off the first time when the dog was barking. The second time she was whining. The collar can be over-sensitive, some people have success putting tape over the microphone part of the collar so it isn't so sensitive. With this particular dog, the collar was never needed again so I wasn't concerned about the sensitivity.
