3:05 I got a sweet fact for all you dog owners out there! For #2, "Dreaming of Rabbits," I read a study once that found that dogs actually don't dream about chasing things. Instead, they dream about spending time with loved ones! So the next time your dog's paws are twitching in its sleep, know that your furry friend isn't dreaming about killing a bird, but playing ball with you. ♥
I thought #2 Dreaming of Rabbits was something wrong with my pupper (19 weeks, first time dog owner) so I am glad to see this video along with the other comments about reverse sneezing in beagles!!! My mind is at ease :)
@Luka Banovic What the heck I posted a whole response and it didn't go through! Basically, the studies were done by Dr. Deidre Barrett of Harvard. She spoke to several news outlets about it, but her research must have been private (since Harvard's a private school) because I can't find her research write-up on Google Scholar. But if you look up her name, you'll find a lot of talks with her!
It's kinda cool how your beagle adapted the "hey here's that prey you wanted me sniff out" sound into a "hey come get my ball from underneath the furniture" sound.
Thank you soooooo much for compiling and posting this!!! I miss my Petey, who I lost in 2015 after nearly 15 years together. This brought back so many wonderful memories of him....small hounds are the BEST. I just love Beagle noises!!!! My Petey was actually a hound of few words....only truly barking at snakes, but he spoke all these other words, plus the "snotty snear of disgusted beagle puppy protest" when he first showed up as a stray at about 4 months old. Whenever I picked him up, he would thrash about, wrinkle his nose and make that beagle puppy swearing noise...if you've had a beagle, you know the sound! I would sit and watch an entire 1/2 hour sitcom just calmly holding him while he protested and squirmed. Every day. For about a month. He finally figured out I was more determined than he was! From that day forward - BEST DOG EVER!!! In the end, I could carry him anywhere and everwhere....even nose straight down and butt straight up!!! Not a mean bone in his body and absolutely trusting. And beagles surely do make sleeping look wonderful as that last scene perfectly portrayed. You wanta sell dog beds? Put a beagle on one and take his picture....make a million!! Thanks again for sharing your little hound with all of us!
3:08 Not gonna lie I started tearing up a bit because my very first dog ever I had to put down did the same exact thing just about every time he slept but he was a Westie.
Jack Frost yeah, I lost my beautiful black lab a few months ago and she did this. She’d also kinda run in her sleep and the first time my grandma saw, she though my dog was have a seizure lol
@@GayAndDog but unlike beagles or Huskies (or any hunting-breed dog) whose howling and barking are very instinctual and very engrained to those breeds, the chihuahuas annoying barks are usually from dogs whom their owner have no control over. Barking is obviously natural for any dog but when the owner tell the dog to stop and the dog just side steps them and keeps barking, that's sign of lack of discipline/training. I have met a few chihuahuas whom dont bark that much, and stop barking when their owner calls them. Also Chihuahuas aren't dogs, they are Cats :D
@@empyrreann does she like to nip or is she an ankle biter? That would be the aussie shepherd in her. As for not howling, maybe the beagle parent was also a mixed-breed, because every beagle mix I've met was a howler ( used to be a Vet tech).
I just had to send my best friend up to the great fields up in the sky yesterday and seeing your videos makes the memory of my little captain (beagle) so much more vivid and I couldn’t thank you enough for coming up on my home page ❤️
I am so sorry......our older beagle crossed the Bridge on 19/9/19 so I feel your pain......we still have our Indi, so it's a little easier, but we really want another beagle.....
The best is "dreaming on rabbits" My Beagle always loudly dreams and runs on the spot. I think she is dreaming on endless prairies and thousands rabbit to pursue...
Our Rabbit Dog Loco would sit in the Kitchen watching me cook scrambled eggs . At the right moment I would ask what do they call eggs in France , the dog would say ooufs . I would say close enough and hand down a Plate with his share . I miss that Dog he had a sense of humor !
4Nick3 LoL that is funny I bet they would get along with a Husky quickly because that’s all they do as well! My neighbors Husky howls at me each morning in the same corner when I’m headed to work, believe he’s saying Goodmorning😊
Mine used to run around the garden doing this, everytime you told her off she would bark at you and if you tried to walk up to her to bring her you'd get about 2 meters away and she would run away🙄🤦♀️😂
Five years ago we lost our two beagles six months apart (they were 15 and 14). Watching this video was wonderful and heartbreaking all at once. My goodness how I miss all their goofy noises.
The "sigh of contentment" is my favorite. My oldest beagle does that every time he gets comfy laying next to me. We usually both do it about the same time, actually. 😀
Grew up in my later teens with a beagle, still love the second one my parents have now. I recognise all these sounds and it's just the most wholesome thing! What I miss is the absolutely unhinged howl you get when a beagle picks up the scent of a wild animal on a walk.
Another sound, our beagle does is what is called "reverse sneezing" after a beagle does an excessive amount of sniffing. It is a wheezeing type of sound that can last for about 10 seconds.
Yeah first time my dog did that I almost lost it because I thought she was choking. l ran and looked it up on the internet. There were even videos of dogs doing it, so once I realized it was normal, I relaxed. I just cup and cover her mouth and nose for a few seconds and rub her throat and it goes away.
i noticed that Oliver will take in short rapid sniffs than one big reverse sniff out.. I am thinking this is to get several small samples of smell then expell all the smell at on time and then resume taking in small samples of smell.. And that sometimes they might vacume in (along with the smell) some particles from the grownd, that get caught in their nasal passage way, and their reverse sneezing is their way to try and get that stuff out of their nasal passage way?

I thought #2 Dreaming of Rabbits was something wrong with my pupper (19 weeks, first time dog owner) so I am glad to see this video along with the other comments about reverse sneezing in beagles!!! My mind is at ease :)
I love this but I must ask: what's your source?
@@lukabanovic2937 source: My dawg told me so
Yeah, how should somebody know what’s the topic of them dreams.
And a brain region will not tell either.
1:08 just sounded like a man from Liverpool, England who’s in his 70s saying “woof”. am i wrong here?
Connor Ima move to England just to see that spectacle 😂
Little fellow 😂 all you have to do is try to find Paul McCartney saying woof at some point. idk if that even exists 😂😂
Connor my dad has been in his car when he was younger
Dogs are Life! Whoa

Not gonna lie I started tearing up a bit because my very first dog ever I had to put down did the same exact thing just about every time he slept but he was a Westie.
Jack Frost yeah, I lost my beautiful black lab a few months ago and she did this. She’d also kinda run in her sleep and the first time my grandma saw, she though my dog was have a seizure lol
Jack Frost u made me cry but sorry for ur lost hope u and ur family doing well stay safe
You monsters
Сергей Китов If they had to put it down it was for its own good. You're really disrespectful.
@@burrowingentity keep telling yourself that
I can now confirm that all beagles are the same 😂😂 every single sound my dog does too 😂
yeah mine too!! especially the "woof", my beagle does it all the time :)
mine too :’)
Even the woof?
Minecraft Gamer absolutely, even the woof
I have had 4 beagles in the past the only thing they all have in common was the howling. So I wouldn’t say they are all the same.

Yeah, Beagles are definitely not for people who dont like barking/howling.
DapimpBDSD either are huskies 😂
Either r Chihuahuas
@@GayAndDog but unlike beagles or Huskies (or any hunting-breed dog) whose howling and barking are very instinctual and very engrained to those breeds, the chihuahuas annoying barks are usually from dogs whom their owner have no control over. Barking is obviously natural for any dog but when the owner tell the dog to stop and the dog just side steps them and keeps barking, that's sign of lack of discipline/training. I have met a few chihuahuas whom dont bark that much, and stop barking when their owner calls them. Also Chihuahuas aren't dogs, they are Cats :D
DapimpBDSD I have a Beagle mix and she’s actually pretty quiet, I guess she just got more of the mini Aussie instead 😂
@@empyrreann does she like to nip or is she an ankle biter? That would be the aussie shepherd in her. As for not howling, maybe the beagle parent was also a mixed-breed, because every beagle mix I've met was a howler ( used to be a Vet tech).
Adorable. I heard they are a very vocal breed and love to communicate and let you know what they are thinking.
I just had to send my best friend up to the great fields up in the sky yesterday and seeing your videos makes the memory of my little captain (beagle) so much more vivid and I couldn’t thank you enough for coming up on my home page ❤️
Sorry to hear that man, I hope you feel better soon.
My beagle just passed last night, so this video really hit different. Thank you for posting this, it made me smile.
aww im sorry how ^ why? i have 2 beagles anything in particular?
I am so sorry......our older beagle crossed the Bridge on 19/9/19 so I feel your pain......we still have our Indi, so it's a little easier, but we really want another beagle.....
🙏
His soul rests easy now.
The best is "dreaming on rabbits"
My Beagle always loudly dreams and runs on the spot.
I think she is dreaming on endless prairies and thousands rabbit to pursue...
I can’t tell if the dog said “woof” or “oof” at 1:08
He made a pvzgw2 chomoer bite sound
If u don't know it then u don't know it
I think it was a comment on the Israeli Palestinian conflict
Woof.
Our Rabbit Dog Loco would sit in the Kitchen watching me cook scrambled eggs . At the right moment I would ask what do they call eggs in France , the dog would say ooufs . I would say close enough and hand down a Plate with his share . I miss that Dog he had a sense of humor !
in germany it said schuss
Beagles are wonderful dogs, I love this.

That's a beagle for you
1:08 THIS DOG LEGIT SAID “Oof.”
Woof
nah it said woof
I like how beagles always bark then howl😂
4Nick3 LoL that is funny I bet they would get along with a Husky quickly because that’s all they do as well! My neighbors Husky howls at me each morning in the same corner when I’m headed to work, believe he’s saying Goodmorning😊
Mine used to run around the garden doing this, everytime you told her off she would bark at you and if you tried to walk up to her to bring her you'd get about 2 meters away and she would run away🙄🤦♀️😂
He Is just the cutest thing! Thanks for sharing his cuteness with us! I work overnights as a nurse and needed that spirit lifting!
My beagle passed a few months ago and it feels like im hearing him again.
Kellix Gaming same
Happy you could get some relief from this ❤️
Yea same
I’m so sorry💕💕💕
Five years ago we lost our two beagles six months apart (they were 15 and 14). Watching this video was wonderful and heartbreaking all at once. My goodness how I miss all their goofy noises.
Having a beagle = never ever feeling bored 😀😀
Thank you for posting, Oliver is so expressive and adorable as always😊🐶🐾

The "sigh of contentment" is my favorite. My oldest beagle does that every time he gets comfy laying next to me. We usually both do it about the same time, actually. 😀
Grew up in my later teens with a beagle, still love the second one my parents have now. I recognise all these sounds and it's just the most wholesome thing!
What I miss is the absolutely unhinged howl you get when a beagle picks up the scent of a wild animal on a walk.
Oh, Oliver, I love you so much! You are too cute and adorable for words!
@Big Steve I am just saying I love Oliver. What's wrong with that?
@Big Steve I am calm, you need to chill out.
3:24 Everyone be like this on Mondays after they wake up
Literally yes
Eh, not really.
But no one is content
Another sound, our beagle does is what is called "reverse sneezing" after a beagle does an excessive amount of sniffing. It is a wheezeing type of sound that can last for about 10 seconds.
Omg I thought just my beagles did that and something was wrong with them. Relieved to hear that it's normal
Mine used to do that so much whenever she got excited
Mine does that and she’s a corgi-retriever
1:08 For a moment, I thought it was someone behind the camera who made this sound, but it was the Beagle itself. I'm impressed and laughing a lot 😂
This is why I love animals.... beagles are so awesome! Kisses to you Oliver. You are a beautiful boy.
Thank you, Shelley!
How can you not looove beagles, Oliver is quite special indeed, enjoy the vids of him, thank you for sharing!!!😍🐕🐕🐕🏅🥇🐾🐾🐾

"dreaming of Rabbits" is my favorite. Oliver is one of the most handsome beagles I have seen. Bravo on keeping him clean.
